Important Safety Instructions

When used in a directed manner, this unit has been designed and manufactured to ensure your personal safety. However, improper use
safety and operating instructions carefully before installation and use, and keep these instructions handy for future reference. Take special note of all warnings listed in this user’s manual and on the unit.

  1. Cleaning – Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Clean the unit using a damp cloth; do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

  2. Attachments – Do not use attachments that are not recommended by the manufacturer.

  3. Water and Moisture – The unit should not be used near water. For example: near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a wet basement.

  4. Placement – Do not place the unit on an unstable table, stand, tripod, or bracket. This may result in serious personal injuries and damage to the unit.

  5. Ventilation – The unit should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, it should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block ventilation openings. Also, it should not be placed in a built-in installation, such as ventilation openings.

  6. For periods of Non-use – time, such as a month or longer, the power cable should be unplugged from the unit to prevent damage or corrosion.

  7. Objects and Liquid Entry – Care should be taken so that external objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled onto any openings or vents located on the product.

  8. Power Source – The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the unit. If you are not sure, please consult the dealer or local power company.

  9. Power Cord Protection – The power supply cord should be routed so that it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. It is always better to have a clear area from where the cable exits the unit to where it is plugged into an AC outlet.

  10. Lightning – Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna unused for long periods of time. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.

  12. Heat – The unit should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves and other appliances that produce heat.

Opening or removing covers will expose you to dangerous voltage and other hazards, service method is not covered in the user’s manual should be referred to qualified service personnel.

  15. Safety Check – Upon completion of any service or repair to the unit, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper working condition.

  16. . Built-in Battery Car e – This device contains a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times. Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet and product when not in use. Do not leave a fully charged battery connected to a charger, since overcharging may shorten its lifetime. Leaving the product in hot or cold places will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery.

Getting Started

Charging the COM 801

  1.  Connect a Micro USB charging cable to the charging port on the COM 801.
  2. Connect the USB end of the Micro USB cable to your computer’s USB port or an AC USB adapter.
  3.  When the speaker is charging, the LED indicator light located on the Micro charger interface of the speaker will turn red.
  4.  Once the speaker is fully charged, the LED light indicator is turned off.

  • Blinking Blue LED: Wireless on with no connection. (Ready to pair)
  • Solid Blue LED: Wireless paired and connected.

Powering ON/OFF

  1. To power the speaker on, press and hold the power button until you hear an ascending audible tone and the Wireless LED light starts blinking.
  2. To power the speaker off, press hold and hold the power button until you hear a descending audible tone. The Wireless LED light will turn off.

Operational Instructions

Wireless Operation
The COM 801 connects with most Bluetooth devices including iPad® devices, iPhone® devices, and iPod® touch devices, and most smartphones, laptops, and tablets.

Setting Up Your COM 801 for Pairing

  1. Turn on the COM 801 wireless speaker 2.
  2. The blue LED light will start to flash indicating that the COM 801 is now ready to be paired with your Bluetooth device.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device for the First Time

  1.  Navigate to the Bluetooth manager on your Bluetooth device
  2. Search Bluetooth devices and select ‘ COM 801 ’ to start connecting.
  3. Once paired, the COM 801 will beep and the Bluetooth LED light will turn solid blue
  4.  Your Bluetooth device is now paired, connected, and ready to stream audio to the speaker system.

TWS Pairing Operation for two speakers

  1. Turn on both COM 801 wireless speakers.
  2. Press and hold the button, on both speakers at the same time. Both COM 801peak ers will beep once connected.
  3. To cancel press and hold the button

Operational Instructions

Using the Auxiliary Input Connection (3.5mm)

You can connect the audio output of an external device, such as a MP3 player or smartphone, to the COM 801 for listening to the audio of that device through the speaker system.

  1. Use a standard stereo Aux (3.5 mm) cable to connect the “audio line-out” of the device to the aux-in jack of this speaker system.
  2. Turn on the speaker system and the external device (eg. MP3 player or smartphone).
  3. Make sure the speaker system is not connected to any Bluetooth devices.
  4. Start playback of the external device and adjust the volume by pressing the | + | or | – | button.
  5. Remember to switch off the speaker system when you are finished using the external device.

Button Controls

  • Lower volume
    Press and hold the | – | button to decrease the volume level

  • Increase volume
    Press and hold the | + | button to increase the volume level

  • Skip backward
    Press the | – | button to skip to the previous track

  • Skip forward
    Press the | + | button to skip to the next track

Call Function

  • To answer any incoming calls, press the | | button.
  • To end the call, press the | | button.
  • To reject call, Press and hold t h e | | button.
  • To redial the last called number, double-click the | | button.

Troubleshooting

Symptom                       Solution

Music is not streaming over Wireless| –   Check if both devices are paired and connected over Wireless

–   Make sure there isn’t a 3.5mm cable connected to the aux input on the back of the speaker.

–   Restart the COM 801 to auto-connect with your Bluetooth device.

No power| – Recharge your speaker using included cable. If the problem

Concept 101 LLC warrants to the original purchaser that the product will be free from defects in material, parts and workmanship for the pertod designated for this product. The warranty commences the day the product is purchased and covers up to a period of one (1) year. Concept 101 LLC agrees that it will, at its option, replace the defective product with either a new or remanufactured headset equivalent to your original purchase during the warranty period. Should the Parts warranty period exceed the Labor warranty period, Concept 101 LLC will supply at no charge for the remainder of the Parts warranty, any new or remanufactured replacement parts as required by the product. During this period all labor and service charges will become the responsibility of the customer.

Exclusions:

This warranty does not apply to the appearance or exterior of the product which may have been damaged or defaced, altered or modified in design or construction. This warranty does not apply if the serial number is altered or removed, or if there is any damage due to a power line surge, user damage to the AC power cord, connection to an improper voltage source, general misuse, accidents, or repair attempts by unauthorized service agents. Other exclusions include earpads, and rechargeable, and non-rechargeable batteries.
