Installation

Note: Test to make sure that the entire installation works properly before pulling cables through ceilings or walls.

  1. Connect the transmitter unit to an available USB port on your computer with a USB 2.0 cable.

  2. Connect the RJ-45 ports on the transmitter and receiver units with Cat5e/Cat6 cable.
    Notes:
    • For the B203-101-IND and B203-104-IND models, the distance between the transmitter and receiver units must not exceed 150 ft. (45 m).
    • For the B203-101-IND-ER and B203-104-IND-ER models, the distance between the transmitter and receiver units must not exceed 330 ft. (100 m).

  3. Connect a USB 2.0 device to each available port on the receiver unit.

  4. For the B203-101-IND-ER and B203-104-IND-ER models, connect the included external power supply to the receiver unit and then to an AC outlet using the correct plug adapter. (Optional) External power (9V to 36V) can also be added by using the RS-232 Phoenix connector.
    Note: Only one power source should be connected to the receiver unit(s), never both.

  5. For the B203-101-IND and B203-104-IND models only: (Optional) if connecting power-hungry device(s), use either the included external power supply or RS-232 Phoenix connector to add external power. Note: Only one power source should be connected to the receiver unit(s), never both.

Warranty and Product Registration

1-Year Limited Warranty
Tripp Lite warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of initial purchase. Tripp Lite’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain service under this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from Tripp Lite or an authorized Tripp Lite service center. Products must be returned to Tripp Lite or an authorized Tripp Lite service center with transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modified in any way.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, TRIPP LITE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Some states do not permit limitation or exclusion of implied warranties; therefore, the aforesaid limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to the purchaser.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, IN NO EVENT WILL TRIPP LITE BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
