SYMBOLS

Description of symbols used on the product. Familiarise yourself with them to reduce the risk of personal injury and material damage.

USE

For use with different electrical appliances such as power tools, washing machines and kettles etc. The power is switched off automatically to prevent serious accidents if there is leakage current.
External magnetic field
Not exceeding 5 times the geomagnetic field in any direction. Do not use the device near strong magnetic field.

CONNECTION

  • Put the residual current device in the power point with the text the right side up and then connect the product. Functions with all products that connect to power point.
  • Tap RESET to activate the device. The device switches off in the event of leakage or fault currents.
  • The residual current device has a zero voltage cut-out and must be reset manually after a power cut.

Function check

Check functionality as follows after use.

  1.  Press the TEST button to test the residual current device. This cuts off the power supply. The status light goes off.
  2.  Press the RESET button to reset the residual current device. The status light goes red. If the status light does not turn red, wait 6 seconds and then press the reset button again. Repeat until the status light goes red. If the status light does not go red after several attempts, check the fuse and replace if necessary.
  3.  Never press the TEST button for more than one second.

NOTE: The residual current device is not enabled when the status light is off.

WARNING:

  • Carry out a function test as above before use. If the residual current device trips when the product is connected there can be a fault on the product. Do not use the product before it Is checked by qualified personnel. If the residual current device does not trip when the test is carried out then there is a fault on it. Contact the retailer for advice.
  • Note that the use of a residual current device is an extra safeguard and must not be used instead of normal electrical safety.
  • The use of a residual current device does not replace normal electrical safety. Unplug the residual current device from the powerpoint to ensure disconnection.
  • Check functionality as above after use. Handle the device with care. Do not expose the device to knocks or immerse in water or any other liquid.
  • The plug complies with the requirements in DIN49441-R1+DIN49441·2-AR1. The connection complies with requirements in DIN49440-3.
