BLAUPUNKT Antenna Active DAB
STEP 1
Check aerial positioning for your vehicle (see above). If the car has
electronic elements, i.e. heated front windshield, you may need to re-position
the aerial. The rule is, do not place on metallic elements- this will impair
the function of the antenna. Metallic vaporized windows can also impair
reception.
STEP 2
Clean the window with a cloth soaked in alcohol. Loosen the cover of the A-pillar (if available – observe the information and specifications of the vehicle manufacturer so as not to destroy any parts of the vehicle).
STEP 3
Place areal as shown in the diagram above. The copper metal foil must stick to the metal of the vehicle. You do not have to scrape, it can sit on painted surfaces.
STEP 4
Run cable to newly installed DAB radio and plug in the back of the radio (refer to owner‘s manual, observe the information and specifications of the vehicle manufacturer so as not to destroy any parts of the vehicle)
STEP 5
You must check the hidden set menu (please refer top owner‘s manual) that the DAB power antenna option is enabled. This DAB aerial has an amplifier built-in and is supplied power via the coaxial cable. If the option is not enabled, you will get bad reception and possibly an error message on the radio.
