Introduction

Graphic equalization for 1/2-DIN chassis with built-in low-pass filter RCA outputs with 6-channels and 8-volts (front, rear and subwoofer). The graphic equalizer comes with 7 bans (50Hz, 125Hz, 315Hz, 750Hz, 2.2Khz, 6Khz, 16Khz). It has auxiliary input 3.5mm on the front. The High-level speaker inputs and a 2-channel RCA aux input with variable gain settings. It has an independent master volume and subwoofer level for blue illumination Selectable fader control is available for control. It comes with a filter with a 12 dB low-pass cutoff (60Hz or 90Hz).

Front, rear, and subwoofer audio amplifiers are driven by three stereo RCA inputs. A stereo RCA input is present to use with portable devices like an MP3 player or a DVD player. It has an auxiliary stereo on the front panel allowing you to utilize your phone or other media player with ease. Master volume, subwoofer volume (sub level), front/rear fader, and selection of main or auxiliary inputs all have their own controls. It has an extended frequency response from 20 Hz to 30 kHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB. To provide the greatest audio signal output, the RCA connectors are gold-plated. These gold-plated RCA connectors give excellent results. For bespoke installation, there are ISO mounting holes and a removable trim ring. For use with factory radios, a high-level speaker input is provided.

Setting system controls

  • Turn the master volume and subwoofer level controls to their minimum settings.
  • Turn the source unit on and increase the volume until you hear distortion.
  • Reduce the volume to just below the distortion point (approximately 80% of full volume). This is the maximum usable musical signal for the source unit. Turning the volume beyond this point increases noise and distortion without increasing the musical signal.

Adjusting the controls

The EQS755 provides a graphic adjustment band for each of seven frequency ranges: sub, low, mid, mid-high and high frequency. You can adjust the centre of each frequency band to fine tune the acoustical response to your vehicle’s interior.

  • Set all frequencies to the centre position. The small dot on the control knob should be set at 12 o’clock.
  • Play your favourite music track and adjust the individual controls to suit your taste. Avoid extreme settings, which can distort musical peaks.
  • Increase or decrease the equalizer gain controls to suit your taste.
  • If your system includes a subwoofer, slowly increase the subwoofer level until you hear a solid bass.
  • If your system includes rear speakers, adjust the fader control to add rear sound. set it so mo0st of the music comes from the front and only fills the rear.
Setting the low-pass frequency

Set the low pass frequency switch on the top of the EQS755 to either 60Hz or 90Hz depending on the subwoofer and subwoofer amplifier requirements.

Connecting an MP3 player or video unit

  • Plug the MP3 player or video unit into the auxiliary RCA input on the back of the EQS755 unit.
  • Make sure the auxiliary button on the front of the unit is out, ready to receive input from the main RCA input (not the auxiliary RCA input).
  • Turn the EQS755 master volume to a normal listening level.
  • Press the play button on the auxiliary source. Push in the AUX button to change to the auxiliary source.
  • Using a small flathead screwdriver, adjust the AUX gain controls located on the top of the unit so that the volume of the auxiliary source matches the volume of the main source.

How to mount

The EQS755 can be mounted next to the source unit or under the dash using the mounting brackets. The front panel controls should be easily accessible from the driver’s seat. In addition, This unit requires additional mobile audio components for proper operation. Always use great care when attaching anything to a vehicle. Check clearances in front of, behind, and on both sides of the planned installation before drilling any holes or installing any screws.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the purpose of a clarion crossover?
Clarion MCD360 2/3-Way 6-Channel Electronic Crossover + Subwoofer Equalizer with 5-Volt RCA Outputs. With rear fader control, this versatile 3-Way Electronic Crossover provides inputs for two- or three-way system settings. A wired remote subwoofer level control is also included.

  • Should the midrange be more prominent than the treble?
Probably the most well-known and well-recognized equalization setting. As a general guideline, the bass, mid, and treble should be tuned at a 4:5 ratio. If you alter the bass too much, your music will get distorted. A 40,000-watt bass setup may be seen in the video below.

  • What Hz should you use for bass?
Professionals recommend a frequency range of 60-250 Hz for bass. These ranges prevent speakers from damage and provide you with the best possible safety and listening experience. Outside of this range, listening to bass at too low a frequency might cause hearing damage.

  • What is the function of the treble?
Turning up the treble increases the sensitivity of the system to these higher frequencies, making things seem brighter and more precise. They’ll sound more mellow if you turn them down.

  • Is it possible to use an equalization without an amplifier?
The installation of a car equalizer can be done independently of the installation of an amplifier. Some cars will come equipped with a car stereo as well as an equalization. Even if the volume isn’t turned up all the way, a well-equalized car radio will sound better.
