WARNING

  • For safety reasons, do not perform any operations while driving. Doing so can take your mind off the road and create the risk of a traffic accident.
  • Always stop your vehicle in a safe place before operating the unit.
  • Please keep the volume at a level at which external sounds can be heard while driving.

Operation Panel

For a longer service life, be sure to read the following cautions.

  • The operation panel will operate properly in a temperature range of -20˚ to 65˚ C.
  • Do not allow any liquids on the set from drinks, umbrellas, etc. Doing so may damage the internal circuitry. Do not disassemble or modify the set in any way. Doing so may result in damage.
  • Subjecting the operation panel to shocks may result in breakage, deformation or other damage.
  • Do not let cigarettes burn the display.
  • If a problem should occur, have the set inspected at your nearest service center.
  • In extremely cold weather, the display movement may slow down and the display may darken, but this is not a malfunction. The display will work normally when the temperature increases.
  • Small black and shiny spots inside the liquid crystal panel are normal for LCD products.

GENERAL GUIDE

Button Layout

  1. Touch Screen
    Capacitive touch screen display.

  2. Mute/ unmute audio.
    Press and hold the button to capture current screen if screen capture settings is ON.

  3. Decrease Volume
    Long press to trigger continuous volume decrease

  4. Increase Volume
    Long press to trigger continuous volume increase

  5. Press the button when the unit is turned on to display Home Screen

  6. Press the button when no device pair to display available device list screen.
    Press the button when no device is connected to dis-play paired device list screen.
    Press the button when device connected over HFP to display Call logs screen.
    7. Press the button to display source selection screen.
    8. Press the button to trigger Voice command / Voice dial
    9. Press the button when the unit is turned off to turn on power.
    Press and hold the button to turn off the power. Press the button when the unit is turned on to change to display off.

Additional

By default, system will automatically turn on when the car ignition is turned on.

To turn off the power
When the unit is powered on, press and hold the [POWER] button for more than 1 second.

To turn on the power
When the unit is powered off, press the [POWER] button.

CAUTION: Using this unit without running the engine may drain the battery, causing the engine to become difficult to start and reducing the service life of the battery.

ADJUSTING THE AUDIO AND MEDIA

1) Adjusting the Audio and Media settings

Press the [Settings] button in the Home Screen to enter the Settings screen.
In Settings screen, press the [Media] button to enter Media Settings screen.

2) Adjusting the Volume

  1. Press the [VOL +] button to increase sound volume.
  2.  Press the [VOL -] button to decrease the sound volume.

TUNING THE RADIO STATION

  1. Press the [FM] or [AM] or [DRM] button on the Source Selection screen to select radio band.
  2. Press the desired button to perform specific operations.

 PLAYING AUDIO FROM EXTERNAL MEDIA

For USB/iPod, Bluetooth Audio, CarPlay/Android Auto Audio.

  1. Insert/ Connect the desired external media.
  2. Select the desired source from source selection screen.

BLUETOOTH HANDSFREE

1) Pairing with phone

Before any handsfree function can be used, the system must be paired with the phone for the first time.

Pairing with phone

  1. when no device pair Available devices screen will appear.
    The system will scan for list of available devices.

  2. Select the device name of your phone, or use your phone to search for “Maruti Suzuki”.

  3. A random 6 digits passkey will be displayed.
    Compare and confirm the passkey on both the phone and unit are matched.

  4. Upon successful pairing, the system will automatically connect with the phone.

Outgoing call
The outgoing call can be performed via Dialpad, Call history, Phonebook and Favourite contacts. The system will be able to download the entire phonebook from the mobile phone if it is supported.

2) Incoming Call

  1.  Press the button to accept the call and press the button to reject the call.
  2. Press the [SMS] button to reject the call and auto-reply SMS or display the reject message selection screen.

 Apple CarPlay™

  1. Connect with Wired
    Plug in official Lightning iPhone cable to the USB port of the unit. Select “Use CarPlay” on phone side, Apple CarPlay projection will automatically launch on the unit.

  2. Connect with Wireless
    If first time connection, connect the compatible Carplay device at “Available Device” screen as wireless CarPlay. Refer to topic E, under “Pairing with function” to see the details of pairing phone.

  3. If known device, select compatible Carplay device at “Paired Devices” screen to reconnect.

  4. Once connected with the wire less CarPlay, Car-Play icon will highlight in orange colour

  5. Press the on the homescreen to launch Apple CarPlay projection.

Android Auto

Connect with Wired

  1.  Plug in Android Auto cable to the USB port of the unit. Select “Yes, I’m in” on phone side, Android Auto projection will automatically launch on the unit.
    Connect with Wireless

  2.  If first time connection, connect the compatible Android Auto device at “Available Device” screen as wireless Android Auto. Refer to topic E, under “Pairing with function” to see the details of pairing phone.

  3. If known device, select compatible Android Auto device at “Paired Devices” screen to reconnect.

  4. Once connected with the wire less Android Auto, Android Auto icon highlighted in orange colour.

  5. Press the on the homescreen to launch An-droid Auto projection.
