Before using this appliance for the first time, please ensure you complete the following steps:

  • Clean the PLATES using a damp cloth or sponge and mild detergent. Wipe dry with a soft dry cloth.

  • Clean the MAIN UNIT of the appliance with a damp cloth or sponge.
WARNING! Never immerse the MAIN UNIT in water or any other liquid.

  • Position the Snack Maker on a dry, level and heat-resistant surface.
NOTE : When using the Snack Maker for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour whilst any production residue burns off. This is completely normal and should disappear after a few minutes. However, as it may affect the flavour of your first batch made, it is recommended that you pre- heat the appliance, switch off and allow to cool.

  • For best results, lightly coat the PLATES with a little cooking oil or cooking spray.

FITTING & REMOVING THE PLATES

  • Select your desired PLATES to be fitted.

  • Align the lip on one side of the PLATE with the black hinges of the Snack Maker and firmly push down until it clicks into place.
IMPORTANT: Ensure BOTH PLATES are correctly fitted before switching on the appliance. DO NOT mix PLATES.

  • To remove the PLATES, simply press the corresponding PLATE RELEASE BUTTON located next to the

  • HANDLE LOCKING CLIP and the bottom section of the MAIN UNIT.
WARNING! Always allow the PLATES to completely cool before removing them from the MAIN UNIT.

OPERATION

  • Before plugging in, slightly grease the upper and lower PLATES with a little oil or butter using a brush or spray.

  • With the LID closed, plug the 3 in 1 Snack Maker in at the mains. The POWER/READY LIGHT will illuminate red to indicate that the Snack Maker is heating.

  • Once the Snack Maker has reached cooking temperature, the POWER/READY LIGHT will go out.

  • Open the LID using an oven mitt to avoid contact with the hot surface.

  • Pour your pre-prepared mixture into each of the cooking zones of the lower PLATE and carefully close the LID using the HANDLE. Lock into place with the HANDLE LOCKING CLIP.
CAUTION: Do not overfill the PLATES to avoid the mixture overflowing from the appliance.
WARNING! Overfilling the PLATES may cause damage to the LID or HANDLE LOCKING CLIP. If there is resistance when attempting to close the
LID, do not force. Leave to cool, clean as instructed and continue using less mixture.
NOTE: The POWER/READY LIGHT may cycle on and off during the cooking process. This is completely normal as the appliance maintains its temperature and it is not a fault with the appliance.
TIP: Try to resist opening the LID to check on the progress of your food in the first minute or two of cooking. Lifting the LID too early could result in the mixture sticking and splitting.

  •  Continue to cook until the desired level of browning has been attained. Usual cooking time is 5-6 minutes.

  • Once cooked, lift the LID by the HANDLE to open the Snack Maker.
WARNING! Take extra care when opening the LID as steam may escape. Contact with steam can cause severe burns. Avoid contact with the upper and lower PLATES as they are very hot.

  • Remove the food with the help of a plastic or wooden spatula.
CAUTION: Never use metal utensils to remove the food from the PLATE as this will damage the surface.

  • If you intend to make batches of waffles, brownies or doughnuts, close the LID between batches to conserve the heat.

  • Disconnect the Snack Maker from the mains and allow to cool completely.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Before carrying out cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow to cool.

  • Remove the PLATES using the PLATE RELEASE BUTTONS and clean using a damp sponge with warm water and mild detergent.

  • If necessary, leave the PLATES to soak in warm water for several minutes before scrubbing with a nonabrasive sponge or scouring brush to remove any baked on ingredients.
CAUTION: Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the Snack Maker as these may damage the surfaces.

  • Clean the MAIN UNIT with a soft, damp cloth or sponge.
WARNING! Do not immerse the Snack Maker or power cord in water or any other liquid to clean.
Dry the Snack Maker and PLATES thoroughly before storing in a cool dry place with the power cord loosely coiled.
