WARNING
Please read and understand these Safety Warnings, Safety Symbols and Instructions carefully and retain for future use
INTENDED USE.
This Sensor Bin is designed and intended for indoor, domestic use only. Do not
use outdoors or for commercial, medical or sanitary purposes.
This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, of lack of experience and
knowledge, unless given supervision and instruction concerning the use of the
product by a person responsible for their safety.
Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS.
When using electrical devices, basic safety precautions should always be
followed.
This product is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the Sensor Bin.
Ensure the Sensor Bin is positioned on a flat, dry, stable surface, away from
sources of heat or ignition.
Keep the Sensor Bin and its accessories away from heat, direct sunlight,
liquids, debris and any sharp edges in order to prevent damage to the product.
To maintain performance, keep the Infrared Sensor clear of water, dirt, dust,
lint etc.
- Do not immerse any part of the Sensor Bin in any liquid for any reason. Do not operate the Automatic Lid if it has been exposed to water, moisture or any other liquid as this may result in electric shock, fire, personal injury and/or damage to the product.
- It is recommended that you use suitable bin liners (not included) in the Container – and secure using the Press Ring – in order to maintain the hygiene and finish of the Sensor Bin.
- Do not insert objects into any of the openings (other than the Automatic Lid for normal use).
- Do not place any objects onto the Automatic Lid or the Infrared Sensor.
- Do not attempt to prevent the Automatic Lid from opening or closing. Allow a full open/close cycle to perform.
- Always turn the Sensor Bin off before attempting to remove the Lid. Only reactivate the Sensor Bin once the Lid has been securely refitted to the body.
CAUTION: Take care not to activate the sensor when emptying the bottom section bins.
This product is not suitable for the storage or disposal of sanitary/chemical/biological or medical waste.
WARNING! Never store or dispose of any hot, flammable or sharp items in the Sensor Bin.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
All parts of this product are wipe-clean only using a clean, damp cloth. Some
gentle proprietary surface cleaners can be used but must be wiped clean and
dried immediately to maintain the finish.
Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach or strong abrasive
cleaners on the surface of the Sensor Bin. Regular cleaning with a clean, damp
cloth will prevent tough stains from building up.
This product contains no user serviceable parts. If the Sensor Bin or any of
its accessories are malfunctioning, or if it has been dropped or damaged, only
a qualified person should carry out repairs. Improper repairs place the user
at risk of harm.
BATTERY SAFETY.
- This product requires 6 x 1.5V A-A (not included).
- Ensure batteries are inserted according to the correct polarity as indicated by the compartment.
- Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
- Rechargeable batteries should be removed from the device before recharging and recharged under adult supervision.
- At the end of their usable life, batteries should be removed safely and carefully and disposed or recycled in line with local authority or government guidelines.
- Do not dispose of batteries in household waste.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
- Do not crush, puncture, dismantle or otherwise damage the batteries.
- Do not attempt to short-circuit the batteries or the battery terminals.
WARNING! The batteries are small items which pose a choking hazard to
pets and small animals. Store batteries well out of reach of children.
If the product is not to be used for a long time, or is to be stored for any
extended period, remove all batteries from the device in order to prevent
leakage. In the event of leakage, do not allow any parts of the battery to
come into contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Seek guidance from the battery
manufacturer.
SPECIFICATION

- Removable 25L Lower Container x 2.

INSTALLING BATTERIES
- To insert batteries (not included), take the Automatic Lid (1), turn upside down and locate the Battery Compartment (5) underneath (circled)
- .Ensuring the ON/OFF Switch (4) is in the ‘OFF’ position, press the cover of the Battery Compartment and slide downwards to reveal.
- Insert 6 x AA batteries, ensuring they are inserted the correct way, and replace the cover.
SWITCHING ON/OPERATION
- Insert suitable bin liners into the Central Container (6) and secure them with the Press Ring (2).
- With the Automatic Lid (1) still inverted, press the ON/OFF switch (4) to the ON position before connecting to the Central Container.
- Insert both 2 x Removable 25L Lower Containers (7) into the Sliding Drawer (8) and close.
- To open the Automatic Lid (1), simply wave your hand over the ‘open’ section of the Sensor (3). Close by waving over the ‘close’ section.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Remove any bin liners from the Containers and discard them. Remove the 25L
Lower Containers from the Sliding Drawer.
Fill with warm water and mild detergent and leave to soak for several minutes.
Take the Containers to an open area (preferably outside).
Using a soft sponge or cloth, scrub the inside and discard of the water. Rinse
with clean water and thoroughly dry using paper towel.
Wipe the inside of the Central Container with a damp cloth and mild detergent
and dry. Alternatively, fill with warm water as previously described for a
more thorough clean.
The Lid can also be wiped down using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry
before reattaching to the Frame. WARNING! DO NOT immerse the LID in water.
Coat the Containers (including the Lid) in sanitizing disinfectant.
IMPORTANT: Disinfectant is a potent and toxic substance, so follow all
manufacturer instructions when using it. Allow to air dry and do not rinse
before reapplying fresh bin liners (not supplied).

Ensure that the Sensor Bin is turned on using the ON/OFF Switch (4).
Replace the batteries.
Use slow, deliberate hand movements directly over the sensor to open and close.
Clean the Sensor using a clean, dry cloth.
DISPOSAL INFORMATION
Electrical products sold within the European Community. At the end of the electrical product’s useful life, it should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.
In all circumstances:
- Do not dispose of in domestic waste.
- Do not incinerate.
- Do not abandon in the environment.
- Do not dispose of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste.
HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR BATTERIES
Do not put in fire or mutilate – cells may burst and release toxic material.
Do not short-circuit cells as this may cause fire or burns.
The battery must be removed from the appliance before being scrapped. The
battery is to be disposed of safely.
BATTERY DISPOSAL INFORMATION
Do not mutilate batteries as corrosive electrolytes and flammable materials
will be released. Do not incinerate – danger of explosion and release of toxic
fumes.
Do not dispose of batteries or cells in a charged condition.
Expired Lithium-ion batteries must be recycled/disposed of in accordance with
the appropriate regulation or legislation. They should be returned to your
local warranty agent/stockist.
DISPOSAL INFORMATION
Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice.

The warranty only applies if the product is used solely in the manner

Returned goods will not be accepted unless re-packaged in its original
packaging and accompanied by a relevant and completed returns form. This does
not affect your statutory rights.
No rights are given under this warranty to a
person acquiring the appliance second-hand or for commercial or communal use.
