These Safety Notes include important information about installation, use, and maintenance.

  • This luminaire is intended for professional use only.
  • DO NOT open this product. It contains no user-serviceable parts.
  • DO NOT look at the light source when the product is on.
  • CAUTION: Flashing light is known to trigger epileptic seizures. Users must comply with local laws regarding notification of strobe use.
  • To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via a breaker or by unplugging it.
  • CAUTION: When transferring product from extreme temperature environments, (e.g. cold truck to a warm humid ballroom) condensation may form on the internal electronics of the product. To avoid causing a failure, allow the product to fully acclimate to the surrounding environment before connecting it to power.
  • CAUTION: This product’s housing may be hot when lights are operating.
  • Mount this product in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 20 in (50 cm) from adjacent surfaces.
  • The luminaire should be positioned so that prolonged staring into it at a distance closer than 15.4 ft (4.7 m) is not expected.
  • DO NOT leave any flammable material within 20 cm of this product while operating or connected to power.
  • USE a safety cable when mounting this product overhead.
  • DO NOT operate this product outdoors or in any location where dust, excessive heat, water, or humidity may affect (IP20)
  • DO NOT operate this product if the housing, lenses, or cables appear damaged.
  • DO NOT connect this product to a dimmer or rheostat.
  • ONLY connect this product to a grounded and protected circuit.
  • ONLY use the hanging/mounting bracket or the handles to carry this product.
  • If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be replaced with a special cable or cord exclusively available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
  • The light source contained in this luminaire shall only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person.
  • The maximum ambient temperature is 113 °F (45 °C). Do not operate this product at higher temperatures. In the event of a serious operating problem, stop using immediately.

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that can work with an input voltage range of 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Power Linking

It is possible to link up to 2 Maverick Force s Profile products at 100 V, 2 products at 120 V, 5 products at 208 V,

4 products at 230 V, or 5 products at 240 V. Never exceed this number. Power- linking cords can be purchased separately.

To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via a breaker or by unplugging it.

Replacing the Fuse

  1. Disconnect the product from power.
  2. Using a flat head screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder cap from the housing.
  3. Remove the blown fuse and replace it with a good fuse of the same type and rating.
  4. Screw the fuse holder cap back in place and reconnect the power.

DMX Linking
The Maverick Force s Profile will work with a DMX controller using a 3- or 5-pin DMX serial connection or a wireless DMX connection. A DMX Primer is available from www.chauvetprofessional.com .

DMX Connection
The Maverick Force s Profile uses a 3- or 5-pin DMX data connection or a wireless DMX connection for its DMX personalities: 31Ch and 47Ch. See the User Manual for information about connecting and configuring the product for DMX operation.

RDM (Remote Device Management)
Remote Device Management, or RDM, is a standard for allowing DMX-enabled devices to communicate bi-directionally along with existing DMX cabling. Check the DMX controller’s User Manual or with the manufacturer as not all DMX controllers have this capability. The Maverick Force s Profile supports the RDM protocol that allows feedback to make changes to menu map options. Download the User Manual from www.Chauvetprofessional.com for more details.

Signal Connection
The Maverick Force s Profile can link to controller software using an Ethernet connection. If using other Art-Net” or sACN -compatible products with the Maverick Force s Profile, you can control each individually on a single network. See the User Manual for information about how to connect and configure the product for these signals.

Art-NetTM Connection
ArtNetTM is an Ethernet protocol that uses TCP/IP which transfers a large amount of DMX512 data using a Neutrik® etherCON® RJ45 connection over a large network. An Art-NetTm protocol document is available from www.chauvetprofessional.com . Chauvet Professional recommends using unicast ArtNetTM for best results.

sACN Connection
Also known as ANSI E1.31, Streaming-ACN is an Ethernet protocol that uses the layering and formatting of Architecture for Control Networks to transport DMX512 data over IP or any other ACN compatible network.

Mounting

Before mounting this product, read the Safety Notes. Use at least two mounting points per product. Make sure the mounting clamps are capable of supporting the weight of the product. For our Chauvet line of mounting clamps, go to http://trusst.com/product/truss-clam Ds/.

Battery Powered Display
Press and hold until the menu screen appears (approximately 15 seconds).

Technician Mode
The technician mode disables the pan and tilt motors, allowing the output of the product to be aimed by hand. To enable the technician mode of the Maverick Force s Profile, hold < UP> and < LEFT> while the product is powering on. When the product is turned off and back on, the pan and tilt will return to normal function.
