General instructions
The present operating and safety instructions are for the user. Please read the instructions carefully and thoroughly and take heed of the regulations before putting the device into operation!
Safety instructions
2.1. Use
In the event of improper use of and tampering with the device, the warranty
and liability of the manufacturer will be rendered null and void. The voltage
given on the nameplate must correspond to the voltage of the power source.
2.2. Check
all components before each implementation.
Damaged parts are only to be repaired by a specialist or by the manufacturer.
Repairs done improperly can result in accidents for the operator. Use only
original parts for any eventual repairs.
2.3. Safety
Before cleaning, rearranging or servicing the device always first pull the
plug from the power source!
2.4. Keep unauthorized persons away.
Make sure that unauthorized persons, children in particular, do not have
access to the fly killer.
2.5. Fire hazard!
Do not operate the electric fly killer in barns or similar places and do not
set the device up in the vicinity of combustible materials and in places where
the presence of combustible vapors, explosive dust or ignitable fluids is
likely.
2.6. Guard the connection lines
Do not use the connection line to pull the plug from the power source or to
carry the device.
Take precautions that the connection lines are not exposed to heat, oil or
sharp edges. Damaged connection lines can cause fires, short-circuiting and
electric shocks. In the event that the connection line of this device gets
damaged, it must be replaced by a special connection line available from the
manufacturer or from customer service.
2.7. Take the ambient influences into account.
Guard your device against all liquids and moisture. Never submerge in water or
clean with a water jet.
Otherwise, there will be a danger of fire or electric shock.
2.8. Regular servicing.
Always store your device securely, out of reach of children, and dry. Heed all
possible maintenance regulations.
Check the device at regular intervals. Use only original spare parts and
accessories.
2.9. National and international regulations
National and international safety, health, and labor regulations are to be
heeded.
Manual instruction
3.1. Instructions for use
The insect killer is reserved for internal use only. Use in barns, in
cowsheds, and any similar premises is not considered as inside use. This
device is designed to be hung or hooked up at about 6.5 feet above the floor
for its most effective results and preferably away from any sunlight. It is
recommended to fight flying insects.
Before placing the glue boards in the device, remove the protecting film.
3.2. Instructions for use
The insect killer must operate in a vertical position. Connect the device. The
device must be connected to a plug with an earth connection. The insect killer
attracts all flying insects thanks to its fluorescent tubes. The insects,
which entered the device, will be killed by the electrified grid and fall into
the collecting removable trail.
3.3. Changing the lightbulbs
Remove the plug from the socket before changing the lightbulb. Now remove the
two upper screws on the right side section. Push the casing upwards. Now flap
the protective grill forwards. Remove the lightbulb(s) carefully from the
holder and insert the new bulb(s). Carefully close the casing again.
