Step 1 Hardware Connections

  1. Use the yellow Ethernet cable supplied (CAT-5e, gigabit capable) to connect the WAN port to Optical Network Termination (ONT) point.
  2. Optional – connect a computer to the LAN port using an appropriate (CSAT-5e) Ethernet cable, not supplied.
  3. Connect the power cable to the Zyxel Device and press the power button. Please wait 2 minutes for configuration to complete.
    • On – Internet is ready.
    • Blinking – Transmitting/receiving Internet data.
    • On – Temporary whilst attempting to get an IP address, persistent if failed.
    • Off – The Internet is not ready.
    • On – Power is on.
    • Blinking – Starting up.
    • On – Malfunctioning. Blinking – Upgrading firmware.

Step 2 WiFi Connection

Use the SSID and Wireless key on the device label to connect wirelessly to the Zyxel Device. On your smartphone or notebook, ind this SSID. Enter the Wireless key to connect.

4-b Using WPS

  • Blinking – The Zyxel Device is connecting to 2.4 GHz WiFi via WPS. On – 2.4 GHz WiFi is ready.
  • Blinking – Transmitting/receiving data.
  • Blinking -The Zyxel Device is connecting to 5 GHz WiFi via WPS. On -5 GHz WiFi is ready.
  • Blinking – Transmitting/receiving
  • Press the WPS button until the WiFi 2.4G and 5G LEDs light up in amber.
  • Press the WPS button on the client. If the WPS method fails, use the SSID and wireless key to set up a WiFi connection (4-a) .

Step 3 Admin access

Open a web browser and go to Enter the default User name (admin) and admin Login Password (on the device label), and then click Login. This gives you access to the menu and configuration options under Home Settings.

Wall Mounting (Optional)

  1. Drill two holes on the wall at the distance of 130.8 mm.
  2. Insert screw anchors and screws (not provided) into the holes.
  3. Place the Zyxel Device so the wall mount holes line up with the screws. Slide the Zyxel Device
