CA-404B.
We wish you many years to have a pleasant room climate and healthy indoor air
with this efficient and effective Clean Air Optima® product.
These instructions describe the safety precautions to be observed during
operation. They are meant to prevent injuries and to avoid damaging the
device.
**Description of the device
**
The device consists of the following main components:
- Removable protection grid
- Protection grid cover
- Protection grid decoration net
- Protection grid rear
- Foldable stand
- Foldable stand cover
- Steppless speed swicht knob
- Digital display
- Top of the housing
- Housing
- Foot
Safety warnings
This device may only be used in accordance with these safety instructions. Take the following steps to minimize the risk of personal injury caused by for example electric shocks or fire.

Only for indoor use. Do not use or store outdoors.

Use proper voltage: AC 220V – 240V, 50Hz

Make sure that the air outlets are always free, and clean up dust, hair, and other obstruction to the airflow and at the air outlets.

Keep your hair, clothes, jewels, or fingers away from the air outlets.

The device is not intended to be used by children or persons with reduced physical-, sensory- or mental capabilities unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

To safely use the device, put it in a steady, horizontal position. Do not move while using.

Do not use the device when there is visible damage on the electrical cord or on the device itself. Do not repair the device yourself in case of damage. Never pull the device by its cord.
If the power cord is damaged, then it must be replaced by an authorized service person to prevent electric shock or fire. -
Repairs may only be performed by authorized service personnel. Do not try to repair the device yourself to prevent electric shock or fire.

Always remove the plug from the socket when the device is not being used or when you clean internal or external parts of it.

Do not use the device in rooms where inflammable liquids or gases are stored, close to heat sources, or in particularly humid rooms like the bathroom, shower, or swimming pool.

To prevent malfunctions, never insert strange objects into the device.

Never disassemble or replace the device’s inner parts.

Do not place the device in direct sunlight, to avoid the device discolors.
-
Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
-
Do not touch the power cord with wet hands.

Clean the device before storage. Store the machine in a cool and dry place outside the reach of children.

Do not ingest the battery, the battery is a Chemical Burn Hazard.

This device contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to serious complaints or disease.

Keep new and used batteries away from children.

If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the device and keep it away from children.
-
If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

The batteries contain materials, which are hazardous to the environment, they must be removed from the device before it is scrapped and they are disposed of safely.

Use, maintain and clean the device as described in this manual.
Features

Installation and Operating instructions
The package contains a circulator fan, remote control, and an instruction
manual.
Assembling the device
- Take out the device from the package.
- Carefully put the device on a stable surface.
- The device needs to be positioned at least 20 cm from a wall.
Operating Functions
Plugin the device: you will hear the acoustic sound “Bi, Bi”.
ON/OFF button
Press the button, the circulator fan starts working. Press it again, the
device turns off.
Steppes Speed Switch Knob
Turn the switch knob to the right to increase the wind speed levels. The
digital display will show the corresponding wind speed level. If you continue
to rotate to the right you will reach a maximum wind speed level of 24 and you
will hear the acoustic sound “Bi”. Rotate the switch knob to the left to
decrease the wind speed level. If you continue to rotate to the left you will
reach a minimum wind speed level of 1 and you will hear the acoustic sound
“Bi”.
Dynamic Natural Air Flow
Press the button, to turn on the Dynamic Natural Air Flow mode, the digital
display will show level 8. Use the switch knob and rotate to the right to
switch to levels 16 and 24 or switch back to 16 and 8 by rotating the switch
knob to the left.
24 levels are divided into three groups
1 – 8 low level = level 8 on display
9 – 16 middle level = level 16 on display
17 – 24 high level = level 24 on display
The wind speed levels in 8, 16, and 24 are preprogrammed for the Dynamic
Natural Air Flow, the circulator-fan will operate according to the diagram
below:
Press again to turn off the Dynamic Natural Air Flow mode.
Sleep Air Flow
Press the button, to turn on the Sleep Air Flow mode, the digital display will
show level 6.
The wind speed levels can be adjusted from level 6 to level 1 with the switch
knob by rotating to the left. When operating for example in Sleep Air Flow
mode level 6, the wind speed will be reduced by one level (6 to 5, 5 to 4, 4
to 3, 3 to 2, 2 to 1, 1 = continuous) every 30 minutes.
Press again to turn off the Sleep Air Flow mode.
Timer
Pressing the button sets the timer. The timer function determines how many
hours the circulator fan will operate. You can set the timer simply by turning
the switch knob to the right or left and the digital display will show the
selected time you would like to run the device. The timer can be set from 1
hour to 12 hours. As time passes, the time value decreases until it goes to
00:00 hours and the device shuts off.
Press again to turn off the Timer function.
80° Oscillation
Pressing the button sets the 80° automatic oscillation. The circulator fan
will oscillate to the right angle of 45° and to the left angle of 45°.
Press again to turn off the 80° Oscillation function.
Negative Ion
Pressing the button will activate the negative ion generator with a total
capacity of > 3.000.000 negative ions / cm³ that are spread from the fan
airflow throughout the entire
room and thereby neutralize pollutants and smells. Negative ions attach to
dust particles, microorganisms, and other unwanted particles in the air and
connect them to each other.
This way, the particles become heavier than air and fall onto the ground so
that you can no longer breathe them in.
Negative ions are mostly found in the forest, mountains, and by the sea.
Negative ions ensure fresh and healthy air.
Press again to turn off the Negative Ion function.

Replacing batteries in the remote control

Open the battery cover at the backside of the remote control to place the battery.
(see picture 1). -
To place the battery: there is a “security tab” at the bottom of the remote control that you first have to slide to the right and then pull out the battery holder. (see picture 2).
Insert the battery with the correct polarity. (see picture 3). -
Push the battery cover back into the remote control.
Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning the device, unplug the power cord.
-
Clean the housing with a soft moisture cloth. Do not use chemical solvents (such as benzene, alcohol, or gasoline). The surface may be damaged or even the whole case may be deformed. The circulator fan has a detachable front for easy cleaning (see picture 1).
Use a Philips-head screwdriver and remove the screw from the rear protection grid (see picture 2). Then turn the detachable front on the front side a quarter to the left and
take out the grid.
You can now remove dirt and dust from the blades with a soft moisture cloth (see picture 3). -
Do not sprinkle water on the device.

If the circulator fan is not used for a longer period of time, we advise cleaning the device carefully and letting it dry. The device has to be stored in a cool and dry place.

The following is a troubling shooting guide to help you solve any issues that you may have using the Clean Air Optima® Circulator-fan CA-404B

The Clean Air Optima® Circulator-fan with ionizer CA-404B is subjected to
strict testing procedures before leaving the factory. If within 2 years from
the date of purchase the product does not perform according to the
specifications, because of factory defects, the purchaser is entitled to free
repairs or replacement of parts upon presentation of this warranty (provided
that the malfunction or damage to the device and/or parts occurred under
normal operating conditions). What is covered: All parts defective in material
and workmanship. For how long: two years from purchase date. What we will do:
Repair or replace any defective parts.
Other Conditions
The provisions of this warranty are in lieu of any other written warranty
whether express or implied, written or oral, including any warranty of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The manufacturer’s
maximum liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by you for
the product. In no event shall the manufacturer be liable for special,
incidental, consequential, or indirect damages. This warranty does not cover a
defect that has resulted from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance,
faulty assembly, accident, natural catastrophes, improper packing, or
unauthorized tampering, alteration, or modification as determined solely by
us. This warranty is void if the label bearing the serial number has been
removed or defaced.
