INSTALLING THE FRONT DASH CAM

Note: Use a 16 GB – 256 GB Class 10 or higher MicroSD card.
A higher capacity card will allow for more captured clips.

  1. Insert a microSD memory card with the label side facing the windshield.
  2. Clean and thoroughly dry the windshield area where you want to mount your dash cam.
  3. Insert and slide the mounting bracket on the suction cup into the mounting slot on the top of your dash cam.INSIGNIA-NS-DASH150-4K-Front-and-Rear-Dash-Cam-System-3
  4. Peel the protective film from the mounting bracket, the dash cam lens and the LCD screen.
  5. Position the suction cup on the windshield, then move the mounting bracket switch clockwise until you hear a click.

INSTALLING THE REAR DASH CAM

  1. Clean and thoroughly dry the windshield area where you want to mount your rear camera.
  2. Connect the Mini USB cable to the Mini USB port on the front camera.
  3. Connect the Mini USB cable to the rear camera.
  4. Peel the protective film from the rear mounting bracket.
  5. Position the bracket on the center and inside of the rear windshield, then firmly press the bracket to the windshield.
  6. Position the rear camera so that it faces the rear window.
  7. Organize and tuck away the cable to make sure that the cable doesn’t obstruct the driver’s view.

CONNECTING POWER

  1. Connect the provided Micro USB cable to the Micro USB port on your dash cam.INSIGNIA-NS-DASH150-4K-Front-and-Rear-Dash-Cam-System-6
  2. Thread the cable from your dash cam, around the outer edge of the windshield, and to a 12 V vehicle accessory port.
  3. Plug the cable into the vehicle power adapter, plug the adapter into the accessory port, then turn on your vehicle. Your dash cam starts automatically.
  4. Rotate the mounting bracket to adjust the viewing angle as needed.

FORMATTING AN SD CARD

  1. Insert a microSD card into the card slot.
  2. Press the Menu button to open the on-screen display menu.
  3. Press to scroll down the option list and select Format SD Card, then press OK

Note: The first time you insert a new SD card into your dash cam, the screen prompts you with one of the following error messages if there is an issue with the card:

  • CARD ERROR Replace SD Card – indicates that the new card is not available to your dash camera (the card may be incompatible or damaged). Remove the SD card and replace it with another card. Use SD cards between 16 and 256 GB.
  • CARD ERROR FORMAT Card in Camera – indicates that the formatting on the new card is not compatible with your dash camera. This will delete all of the information on your card, so save your files first.

TURNING ON YOUR DASH CAM MANUALLY

Press and hold the Menu button for three seconds to turn your dash cam on or off.

Note: If you have an SD card installed and your dash cam is connected to a vehicle accessory port, it starts recording automatically when you start your vehicle. You should review your first video to make sure that the camera is positioned correctly and that the video recorded correctly

SETTING UP YOUR DASH CAM

The first time your dash cam is turned on, you need to enter the year, month, day, and time zone, select Daylight Saving Time (if applicable), and enter the time. Your dash cam uses these settings when creating file names and time stamps.

RECORDING VIDEO WITH YOUR DASH CAM

  1. Make sure that your power cable is connected and the SD card is inserted.
  2. After the vehicle is turned on, your dash cam automatically turns on and starts recording.
  3. Press the Menu button to open the Settings menu.

VIEWING VIDEO CLIPS AND PHOTOS

  1. Make sure that your dash cam is turned on and in recording mode.
  2. Press the Menu button to open the Setting menu.
  3. Select Video Clips, then press OK.
  4. Press the up or down button to select a video clip or photo, then press the OK button.
