Installation Guide
IMPORTANT: DETERMINE THE CORRECT PIN ASSIGNMENT
The 2 most common pin assignments are shown in the table above.
Red wire – Power
Black wire – Ground
Yellow wire – CAN Hi
Green wire – CAN Lo
Please refer to the vehicle’s user manual or contact your dealership to
confirm the correct pin assignment before installation. Contact Samsara
support for more information.
If your vehicle’s connector pin assignment matches the Samsara cable, skip
stepping 3.
If your vehicle’s connector pin assignment does not match the Samsara cable,
please follow steps 1 and 2 to reconfigure.
To remove a pin and a wire, insert the tool all the way into the pinhole and
pull the wire out.
Push the contacts into the connector through the back until you hear a click.
Please remember to do the exact reconfiguration to both the female and male
connectors.
Locate the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
Connect the Samsara cable, twist to lock
Select a mounting location, and clean thoroughly with a cleaning wipe. Attach mounting plate with adhesive and 4 self-tapping screws (bag 1).
Mount AG onto the mounting plate with 4 flat-end screws (bag 2).
Plug cable into AG, twist to lock.
