SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This device may be only used by children 8 years old or older and persons with limited physical, sensory and mental capabilities and / or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they have been instructed in use of the device by a responsible person who understands the associated risks.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the same, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
Do not operate the appliance without load to avoid damaging the heat elements.
Unplug from the outlet when not in use.
Do not let the cord hang over edge of table counter or touch hot surface.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
Ensure that kettle is used on a firm and flat surface where the children can’t touch, this can prevent from overturning the kettle to damage the person or kettle.
To protect against a fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, electric plugs or kettle in water or other liquids.
Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.
Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the kettle is hot.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play it.
The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fi re, electric shock or personal injury.
While water boiling, avoid contacting with steam from the spout when water is boiling or just after it has switched off. Do not be anxious to uncover the lid.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning; allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
CAUTION
Risk of injury! Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
The kettle is for household use only, not for outdoors.
The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.
Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.
If you wish to stop the kettle before the water has boiled, you must switch off the appliance before removing the kettle from its base.
This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
Our warranty does not cover water kettles that malfunction resulting from failure to descale.
The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.

USE AND OPERATION

Before the first operation

Clean the stove before using it for the first time. Fill the kettle (3) to the upper mark. Boil water several times in a row and then pour it away. The water reaches boiling point after about 5 minutes. The cooker will then shut off automatically.

Operation

Place the base (7) on a firm and level work surface.
Pour the desired amount of clean water into the kettle (3).
Note: The surface of the kettle becomes hot during use. Only touch the handle during use.
Make sure that the lid (1) is properly closed, the amount of water can be measured by the mark on the outside of the kettle. Always pay attention to the Min and Max values.
Place the kettle on the base (5) so that the underside of the kettle fits exactly into the contact on the base.
Plug the plug into a wall outlet.
Turn the on/off switch (6) to position I to start the heating process. The indicator light will illuminate.
As soon as the water reaches boiling point, the on/off switch (6) automatically returns to position 0 and the indicator light goes out. The kettle can also be switched off manually by setting the on/off switch to position 0.
The hot water can now be safely poured through the outlet into another container. Safety switch-off
This kettle is equipped with a safety cut-out to protect the appliance from damage in the event of improper use. If the appliance is inadvertently operated without water or all the water evaporates, the safety switch automatically switches off the heating element.
In this case, disconnect the plug from the socket immediately and allow the kettle to cool for 15-20 seconds. Fill it up with water, insert the plug into the socket and restart it.

CARE AND CLEANING

Note : Before your cleaning, please unplug the electrical kettle and make sure it has been cooled down. Never immerse any part of the cable, plug, power cord base or kettle in water or any other liquid.

Exterior of the Kettle

Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a piece of damp cloth and then dry it with a piece of dry cloth.
Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the finish of your kettle.

Descaling the Kettle

Over using a period of time, lime scale would be built up inside of your kettle.To remove lime scale:

Method 1

Half fill the kettle with water and add the juice of a lemon.
Boil up the water and allow it to stand for 15 minutes before discarding.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 several time, please using cold water only.

Method 2 (for stubborn deposits)

Fill the kettle with water and vinegar or juice (citric acid) or use a special descaling agent available in household stores.
Leave the kettle for 1 hour, then boil the water.
Empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly with cold water.
If necessary repeat the procedure 1-3 times.
To eliminate the smell of vinegar, boil fresh water several times and pour it out.
Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the kettle with a cloth.

Note : Do not use wire brush or any other abrasive objects. Do not clean the kettle with strong detergents.
