SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. In order to prevent the risks of a fire, an electrical shock, burns, and other injuries, it is imperative to observe basic safety measures when using electrical appliances.

General safety instructions

  • The specified voltage must match the mains voltage. Use an adequate wire crosssection.
  • The appliance air inlet and outlet openings must not be obstructed in any way!
  • Never move the heater during operation, always unplug the heater when not in use.
  • Never use the appliance if the appliance or cord is damaged. The appliance may only be opened up and repaired by authorized qualified personnel.

Special safety instructions

  • Remove the unit from its packaging and check to make sure it is in good condition before using it.
  • Do not let children play with parts of the packing ( such as plastic bags)
  • Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children or infirm persons. Do not allow children to use it as a toy.
  • Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product malfunctions, is dropped, or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair, or replacement.
  • Before unplugging the power cord, be sure to turn the power off. When touching the unit, be sure your hands are dry to prevent electrical shock.
  • Ensure the cord is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not in contact with any part of the heater.
  • In use, some parts of the heater are hot. When moving, hold the heater only by the handle provided.
  • Do not use the heater in areas such as garages where petrol, paint, or other flammable substances are used or stored.
  • Do not use near or point the heater to furniture, animals, curtains, or other inflammable objects. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, bedding, and any other combustible materials at least 1 meter from the front and sides, and from the rear of the heater.
  • Do not place the cord under the carpet or cover it with throw rugs or furniture. Arrange the cord so that it cannot be tripped over.
  • Do not place the heater on bedding or on thick and long pile carpet where the openings may be blocked.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product or flexible cord to rain, moisture, or any liquid other than those necessary for the correct operation of the product.
  • This product should not be used in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtubs, washbowls, bathroom swimming pools,s, etc. where the likelihood of immersion or splashing could occur.
  • Switch off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug – do not pull on the cord.
  • A common cause of overheating is deposits of dust and fluff entering the heater. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the heater, allowing it to cool, and cleaning as described in the Care, Cleaning, and Storage section.
  • Be sure that no other high current appliances are plugged into the same circuit with your heater as an overload can occur.
  • Avoid the use of an extension cord as the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
  • Do not use outdoors. FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
  • Do not place objects on the product or allow objects to obstruct the inlet or outlet openings, operate in close proximity to walls or curtains, etc. Do not cover the unit when in operation.
  • Do not locate the heater immediately below a socket outlet.
  • The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the product distributor may cause personal or property hazards or injuries.
  • This product is intended for normal domestic/household use only.
  • Use this heater as described in this manual. Any other uses, not recommended by the manufacturer, may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons and may void the warranty

OPERATION

**WARNING**
Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse or expose the product or flexible cord to rain, moisture, or any liquid.

Before use

  • Before use, remove all packaging and inspect the appliance for any damages. If there appear to be any damages, please take them back to a place of purchase for a replacement.
  • Ensure that all the accessories are included as per the diagram above before you can continue with the installation.
  • Ensure that the location of the heater installed is not directly under a power socket and that a power socket is available to power the appliances for use.

Operation

  1. Carefully remove the heater from the plastic bag and the carton.

  2. Place the heater on a firm level surface,

  3. Setting the master button to “off”, on the base of the unit, plug the cord set into a 220-240 V~AC electrical outlet.

  4. Plugin, switch the powerpoint to the on position then turn the master button on the heater to the on position, the heater in standby mode, LED display room temperature °C, light, Please wait 3 seconds, then start to operate any function, after 30 seconds, if no operation, light and LED switch off.

  5. Turn the heater ON by pressing the ON/OFF button. The unit is now in fan mode.
    This will conduct recirculation of the room air.
    Now you can choose between 2 heating levels:
    Heating level 1 (1200 W): Press the button on the remote once.
    Heating level 2 (2200 W): Press the button on the remote a second time.

  6. To turn the heater OFF, press the ON/OFF button

NOTE: To assist in maintaining the internal components, after pressing the “ON/OFF” button, the fan will continue to blow room air for a period of 30-60 seconds before shutting down to standby.

Oscillating button

This heater has an oscillating function. To switch the function on, press the SWING button

Timer function

This function will work in any mode. The timer function allows you to set the length of operation from 1 to 8 hours.
To set the timer, press the button.
The display screen will show 1h, indicating the heater will operate for 1 hour before shutting down to standby.
To increase the operation time, continue to press the “+” button until the desired operation time is displayed. To cancel the timer feature press the “-” button until all time indicators light is off. This returns the heater to continuous running. Each press increase is 1 hour.

Temperature setting

  1. Operate the Heating Mode as per the above instructions.
  2. The LED screen will display the room temperature, to adjust the temperature, press “+” to increase the desired temperature and “-“ to decrease the desired temperature.
    • When the air temperature reaches 1 degree above the set temperature, the heater will cut off. The heater stops working but the fan continues working to allow the product to cool down and maintain the temperature.
    • When the air temperature drops 3 degrees below the set temperature, the unit will come back on.
    • Temperature can be set from 10 degrees to 49 degrees, by pressing the “+” and “-“.

Safety system

  • In the event of abnormal overheating, a safety device shuts down the appliance automatically. After a short cooling down phase, the appliance is ready for use again.
  • If you still notice the same defect as above mentioned, remove the plug from the socket and consult your authorized dealer to your after-sales service department.
  • During use, do not touch or cover the air outlet. This may cause the unit to overheat, and the safety device to operate.
  • The unit is also fitted with a tip-over switch. Do not use on thick and long pile carpets, as the heater may not work, due to the tip-over switch not being activated.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Cleaning

  • Your appliance must be switched OFF via the main power supply and unplugged before proceeding with any cleaning work.
  • Clean the housing with a lightly damp cloth, a vacuum cleaner, or a dusting brush.
  • Never use flammable or abrasive cleaning agents such as benzene or spirit to clean the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance in the water!
  • Clean the air inlet and outlet regularly with a vacuum cleaner.
  • If the appliance is not used for an extended period it must be protected against excessive dust and dirt. Please dismount the heater and store it in a dry place away from sunlight and dirt.

Battery replacement (remote control)

The remote control uses one button cell, model No. CR2025 (3V). We recommend the use of a Lithium type battery for longer use.
