INSTALLATION

The device can be used directly (no installation is required) after it has been removed from the packaging.

COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION

Use of the ice box

The ice box has a unique cold storage unit that slowly absorbs the heat in the water and keeps the water temperature in the water tank lower than the room temperature for several hours. This cools the air blown out of the fan.

  1.  Place the ice box in the freezer until it is completely frozen.
  2.  Place the frozen ice box in the water tank and push the water tank back into the appliance. After about 10 minutes, the water temperature in the water tank will be lower than the ambient temperature.
  3.  Two ice boxes are included to ensure the continuous use of one ice box.
  4.  It is strictly forbidden to open the ice box and swallow its contents.

USING THE FUNCTION KEYS

When the unit is switched on, the power indicator is off. When the unit is connected to power, a beep is heard. The unit is now in standby mode. If no button is pressed for more than one minute, the indicator light and screen will darken to 30% of the previous brightness level. If you then press any button, the indicator light and the screen will turn bright again. If you press the On/Off button during power off to start the main engine, the preset operating mode is started. (Note: Only if the power plug has been removed from the outlet first can the unit enter the preset operating mode; if the unit is turned off without the power plug having been removed, the next time the unit is started the operating mode used before it was turned off will be automatically restarted. This does not apply to the timer function and the wind function). These preset operating modes are available:

  •  Normal wind mode, no LED display.
  •  Power indicator is on.
  •  Vibration display is off.
  •  Dehumidification display is off.
  •  Medium wind is started and changes to weak wind after three seconds. The low speed indicator is on.
  •  The timer function is off.
  •  The room temperature display is on.
  •  The room temperature is displayed on the screen.

Speed button
If you press this key several times after switching on, the wind speed can be adjusted in the following order: slow > medium > fast > mute > slow and starts from the beginning if you press it several times. The corresponding speed indicator will illuminate.Note: The device can only be muted in normal mode, in all other modes this is not possible.

Mode button
In the operating status this key can be pressed to select the wind mode. The wind mode can be adjusted. The normal operating status of the motor should not be considered as wind mode. Instead of being regulated by a program, the unit can only be operated by normal operation of the engine and starting the gearbox. After setting the wind mode, the engine gearbox is regulated according to the control rules of the software program and by adjusting the speed, causing the feeling of different air flows.Note: When the wind speed button is muted, the function buttons of the corresponding mode are disabled. When this button is pressed, the following preset wind modes are available in this order: Intelligent Wind, Natural Wind, Gentle Wind and Normal Wind. By pressing the button several times, the desired wind mode can be set. For all wind modes, except normal wind, there is an indicator light. The wind speeds for Natural Wind mode operation are as follows:

Normal Wind The device runs constantly at the set speed.
Natural Wind In natural wind mode, the indicator light is on and the

indications for changing the wind speed are only displayed at the beginning. Further changes of the wind speed are not displayed.
Gentle wind| In Soft Wind mode, the unit runs at the speed you set and reduces the speed according to preset rules. This mode protects people from physical discomfort while sleeping due to excessive wind speed. Depending on the speed you set, the program will look like this:

• High wind speed: 30 minutes strong natural wind > 30

minutes medium natural wind > weak natural wind.

• Average wind speed: 30 minutes average natural wind >

weak natural wind.

• Low wind speed: Weak natural wind.

Intelligent wind mode| • In intelligent mode, the wind speed cannot be adjusted with the speed button. This mode automatically adjusts the

wind speed when the temperature changes (the wind speed display does not change in smart mode).

• Once Intelligent Wind Mode is selected, the LED indicator lights up. Intelligent Wind Mode works as follows: If the ambient temperature around the unit is less than 25°C, the unit will run at low speed; if the ambient temperature

is between 25°C and 29°C, the unit will run at medium speed; if the ambient temperature is above 29°C, the unit will run at high speed.

• When smart wind mode is activated, the LED blinks at 0.5 second intervals to alert the user that smart wind mode has been activated. If you want to adjust the device manually, you should select a different wind mode. The Smart Mode LED will stop blinking.

Timer

  •  Timer function: When the timer button is pressed, the status is displayed on the screen and the LED indicator blinks every 0.5 seconds. You can now use the timer button to set the time and the timer in 1-hour increments (0 – 8 hours). If the timer button is pressed and held for longer than 2 seconds, the corresponding timer functions change. The set value is then displayed on the screen.
  •  If the button is not pressed for 5 seconds or another button is pressed within 5 seconds, the ambient temperature is automatically displayed immediately on the screen.
  •  If „0“ is set as the timer value, it means that no timer has been set and the normal display appears on the screen.
  •  Normal display: If no timer value has been set, the current ambient temperature is displayed on the screen. The temperature unit is „°C“ and the temperature display range is -10°C to 40°C. If the temperature is below -10°C, the screen will display „LO“ and if the temperature is above 40°C, the screen will display „HI“. If the timer has been set, the ambient temperature is first displayed on the screen for 5 seconds and then changes to the timer display, where the remaining time until the unit is automatically turned off is displayed for 5 seconds. The unit then returns to the ambient temperature display. These two displays change cyclically.

Swing Left and Right
When this button is pressed, the unit swings from left to right.

Air Humidification/Cooling Button
If you press this button, the humidification and cooling mode can be activated. The corresponding display will appear on the screen.

Magnetic circuit breaker for automatic water level detection
When the cooling function is started by the appliance, the program used to check whether there is still water in the water tank may be delayed by 45 seconds. An additional 5 seconds are required to assess the degree of cooling. Once the cooling function is activated, water is pumped into the water pipe, regardless of how much water is in the water tank. This is because the magnetic circuit breaker cannot assess the actual water level in the tank until 45 seconds have elapsed. From the 45th second to the 50th second, the state of the magnetic circuit breaker is assessed. Depending on the measurement of the device, the pump either continues to run or is deactivated when the water level is too low.

Air drying function
After using the cooling and humidifying function, the high-speed fan should be used to dry the honeycomb air filters.Pressing and holding the speed button for 3 seconds activates the air drying function. Once the air drying function is activated, the current wind speed is set to the next higher level and then directly to high speed for 20 minutes. The level before the automatic change to maximum speed is not displayed. Once the air drying function has been activated, the maximum speed display should turn on and off at 0.5 second intervals until the unit automatically turns off after 20 minutes. As long as the air drying function is activated, all other functions are deactivated. During the air drying mode, only the On/Off button works. All other function keys are disabled in this mode. If the unit is turned off while starting the air drying function, the previous operating status will be restored when the unit is turned on again and the status of the air drying function will not be displayed. If the unit has been turned off directly after the Cooling And Humidification mode without previously activating the air drying function, it is necessary to restart the unit and activate the air drying function to dry the honeycomb filters.

Mode reminder when switched on again

  • If the power plug is unplugged while the unit is on and the power plug is plugged back into the outlet, the unit will beep 10 times (once per second) with no screen indication. After 30 seconds, the previous operating status is restored.
  •  When the On/Off button is pressed, the unit should automatically return to the previous operating status after 30 seconds.
  •  The countdown of the timer function should also be saved and an error rate of maximum 5 minutes is possible each time the unit is switched off (the timer does not take into account the time when the unit is switched off).
  •  If the unit was switched off when the power plug was unplugged, the unit will also be switched off when the power plug is plugged in again.

PROTECTION FEATURES

Low water alarm

  •  If the pump has been running for 45 seconds after switching on and the unit then detects that there is continuously insufficient water in the water tank for more than 5 seconds, the pump will stop and the unit will sound an alarm for 10 seconds.
  •  If the cooling/humidifying mode button is pressed three times within 3 seconds of being switched on and there is insufficient water in the water tank, the unit emits a warning tone.
  •  If the cooling/humidifying mode button is pressed repeatedly and there is insufficient water in the water tank for more than 5 seconds, the unit will sound a warning tone.
  •  If you press the OFF button, the low water alarm is deactivated.

Auto power off
If the instrument runs continuously for 15 hours and no button is pressed during this time, the instrument is automatically switched off. If you want to deactivate the automatic switch-off, press the „Cooling“ and „Wind speed“ buttons for three seconds. You will then hear a beep and the automatic power- off function has been deactivated.
