SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
Risk of burns! Certain surfaces become very hot during use. Touch only the
handles and buttons and allow the unit to cool before cleaning so that you do
not burn yourself.
- To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or main body in water or any other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when out in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injury. Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other liquids.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or men- tal capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safe.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacture or its service agent.
OPERATION
Important Hints on Use
- Only connect the device to sockets that correspond to the specified voltage.
- Disconnect the plug when the rice container is not in the cooker or when the cooker is not in use. Remember that the cooker is always in warm mode while it is plugged in.
- Wipe the inside of the rice container and place it in the cooker before switching on the appliance, carefully slide the container to the right and left until it is properly seated.
- If the switch cannot be set to the cooking position, do not force it. Usually this is because the rice container is not properly seated in the cooker or the cooking process is almost complete.
- While cooking, place the lid on the rice container and leave it on the container after serving. It ensures that the rice does not dry out.
How to use the rice cooker
- Use the measuring cup supplied to measure rice and water and place it in the rice container The correct ratio of water to rice can be found in the following table:
- Insert the rice container into the cooker. Add rice and water to the container. Close the lid. Move the container slightly to the right and left until it is firmly seated.
- Do not insert the plug into the socket until you are ready to cook, otherwise the rice may spoil. If the rice container is not in the cooker, the appliance will not start.
- Set the switch to position „I“ (on) to turn on the appliance. Press the cook button on the front of the unit. As soon as the cooking process starts, the control lamp lights up.
- As soon as the rice is cooked, the appliance automatically stops cooking and switches to the keep warm function. Allow the rice to steam for another 15 minutes. As long as the appliance is plugged in and the switch is set to „I“, the keep warm function is active.
- Set the switch to position „O“ to switch the appliance off. Then remove the plug from the socket. Do not pull the plug out of the socket by the cable, but always hold it by hand.

Instructions for using an extension cord
The unit is equipped with a short power cord to prevent anyone from getting
caught or stepping on the cable. If necessary, you can use an extension cord.
If you are using an extension cord, follow these instructions:
- The electrical power of the extension cord should be at least as high as that of the device.
- Lay the cable so that it does not hang over the work surface so that children cannot pull on it and no one gets caught.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Remove the rice container and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse with clear water and dry with a soft cloth.
- Clean the outside of the stove with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, just a damp cloth or sponge and a little detergent. Never immerse the stove completely in water.
- Clean the heating and temperature control plate with steel wool to remove food remains. Then wipe with a damp cloth and let it dry before putting it back into operation. Keep foreign objects away from the plate, otherwise the stove will not work properly.
- Incorrect cleaning of the stove can lead to unpleasant odours.
- Salt or vinegar residues can cause the container to rust.
