SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Children over the age of 8 and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or those with a lack of experience and knowledge may only use the device if they are instructed on how to do so by a person responsible for their safety, or if they are supervised and understand the hazards associated with the use of the device.
  • Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Children under 3 years of age should be kept away from the appliance unless they are under constant supervision.
  • Children aged 3 years and under 8 years should not switch the appliance on or off unless it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been safely supervised or instructed and understand the risks involved. Children aged 3 years and under 8 years should not connect the appliance to the power supply, operate or clean the appliance or carry out maintenance work on the appliance.
  • Some parts of this appliance may become hot and cause burns. The presence of children or persons in need of protection requires special attention.
  • If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized dealer, or a similarly qualified person.
  • Do not cover the unit. Do not block the ventilation openings.
  • Do not place the unit directly under a power outlet.
  • Never use the unit near sinks, bathtubs, showers, and swimming pools.
  • Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.
  • Do not use it if there are visible signs of damage to the heater.
  • Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
  • Do not connect the unit to the power supply and do not use the unit until it is fully assembled (see assembly instructions).
  • This appliance is filled with a certain amount of special oil. All repairs that involve opening the oil tank may only be carried out by the manufacturer or its technicians. The manufacturer must be notified in the event of oil leakage.
  • When disposing of the unit, it is necessary to comply with the regulations for the disposal of oil.
  • After removing the packaging, inspect the unit to ensure that it is in perfect If you discover any damage, do not use the unit and contact qualified personnel.
  • Dispose of packaging materials such as plastic film and plastic bags immediately and keep the packaging out of the way of children for later storage. Do not allow children to play with the product. This is an electrical appliance and must be treated as such.
  • Before use, check the voltage indicated on the rating plate. If the plug and socket are not compatible, have the socket replaced with a suitable one. This work must be carried out by a qualified technician. Do not use adapters or extension cords that do not meet the requirements of current safety standards or exceed current limits.
  • Disconnect the unit from the power supply when it is not in use.
  • Do not pull on the power cord or the unit itself to disconnect the power plug fromthe outlet. Never touch the unit with wet or damp hands.
  • Do not expose the device to weather conditions such as rain or direct sunlight.
  • The device should not be subjected to any impact or shock loads.
  • In case of a defect or malfunction, the device must be disconnected from the power supply immediately.
  • If you no longer wish to use the unit, you can render it unusable by cutting the power cord. Before doing so, be sure to unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • It is best to unwind the power cord along its entire length to avoid possible

  • WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains, or any other flammable material a minimum distance of 1 m from the air outlet.

OPERATION

Caution: Danger of Scalding.
Do not touch the heater during operation. The housing will become hot.
When the power cord is plugged in and the switch is not pressed, the product enters a standby state: the power lights are highlighted, the other 5 lights are low, and the digital tube is not displayed.

ON/Standby (all items)

  1. Press the “on” button to start the machine. If no other operation is carried out, the default mode will be the high-end model (the default temperature is 24 °C). The mode key will be highlighted and the middle digit of the digital tube will display “3”.
  2. Click the on key again and the product enters the standby state.
  3. The machine functions as a switch under normal conditions and remembers the status before shutdown (timing function does not remember) when the machine is
    not switched off.

Modes

  1. In the starting state, press this key to switch to the heating mode of the machine, and the first power on will default to high-grade (the default temperature is 24 °C). The switching sequence is high → medium → low → high…Loop, the middle digit of the three-digit digital tube shows “3→2→1→3…” Cycle.
  2. Can also be activated and highlighted when the mode is set, and click ∧/∨ to increase or decrease the tap
  3. During and after setting the mode, the indicator light in the middle of the mode key will be highlighted, the middle digit of the digital tube will show the current set gear, and the digital tube will show room temperature 3 seconds later.

Timer

  1. Press the timing key to enter the timing shutdown setting. The indicator light in the middle of the timing key is highlighted. The time content is displayed by the three-digit
    digital tube.

  2. Adjust the time by clicking ∧/∨, auto-confirm after 5 seconds without operation, or directly click the timing key to confirm, (maximum setting is 24h, 0his no timing).

  3. No matter what heating mode the machine is in, it can be set to shut down regularly.

  4. During and after the timing setting, the indicator light in the middle of the timing the key will be on high (when the timing is set to 0, that is, when there is no timing, the timing indicator will be on low);

  5. After timing confirmation, the digital tube displays the timing shutdown time within 3 seconds, and the digital tube displays room temperature after 3 seconds.

Temperature setting

  1. Press the temperature key, activate ∧/∨ to adjust the temperature, the indicator light at the center of the temperature key is highlighted, the temperature is displayed by a three-digit digital tube, the first two digits display the temperature, the second digit with the “dot” of digital tube displays “°C”.

  2. The default temperature is 24 °C, set the temperature by pressing ∧/∨ the button, automatically confirm after 5 seconds without operation or directly press the temperature button to confirm (the temperature setting range is 7-35 °C).

  3. When the machine is on, long-press the temperature button for 5 seconds, and the Celsius mode (point + C) is converted to the Fahrenheit mode (point +F). When the
    the machine is in Fahrenheit mode, long-press the temperature button for 5 seconds to switch back to Celsius mode.

  4. In Fahrenheit mode, the default temperature is 75 °F and the setting range is 4595 °F

  5. Degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit mode has memory function and can remember the previous model even after complete power failure.

Controlling the heater through the control panel: if the highest 35 °C is already set, then still press “up”, will go to 7 °C, just a cycle.
If you control it through App, in this situation, press the “up”, there are no reflect, always 35 °C, only can “own” it.

Frost prevention function

  1. In standby mode, when the probe temperature is below 5 °C (41°F), mid-range heating will be automatically started;
  2. When the probe temperature is higher than 7 °C (45°F), stop heating and return to the standby state.
  3. When frost protection is activated, the power indicator flashes at a frequency of 2 seconds per time, and the digital tube displays the current temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit).

Supplementary Notes:
The machine in the working state will automatically enter the off-screen state (the power lamp is low on, and all others are off) without any operation after 3min of operation.
Press any button in the off-screen state to wake up the body.

Error codes
Sensor short circuit, flashing prompt “EH”
The sensor is open, flashing “EL”, and needs power off to repair.

DEVICE CONTROL BY SMARTPHONE

If you integrate the device into your home WiFi, you can conveniently operate it via the associated Klarstein app. The app not only allows you to remotely control the device via
your smartphone, but also gives you access to additional information.
Follow these steps to connect your smartphone to your Klarstein device:

  1. Download the Klarstein app first by scanning the QR code with your smartphone (see below), or download it directly from App Store or Google Play.
  2. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network that your Klarstein device is to be connected to.
  3. Open the Klarstein app.
  4. Sign in to your account. If you do not have an account, sign up in the Klarstein app.
  5. Follow the instructions from the app.

Use the scan function of your smartphone to scan the QR code and save the app on your smartphone.
Note: The app provides further information on how to use the app and helps on how to connect to your device as soon as you open it for the first time.

Troubleshooting connection problems
If your Klarstein device cannot be found in the WLAN, check the following:

  • Is the device plugged in?
  • Is the WiFi feature of my phone enabled?
  • Is the WiFi function of the Klarstein device activated? (Follow the instructions in the app)
  • Has the WLAN password been entered correctly?
  • Are the router, Klarstein device, and smartphone in the immediate vicinity during the connection attempt? (Ideally no more than 5 m apart)
  • If you have deactivated the 2.4 GHz band in the settings of your wireless router, activate it in your router settings.

Note: For further help, follow the instructions in the app when setting up the connection.

CLEANING AND CARE

Note: Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait until the unit has completely cooled down before cleaning it.

  • Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the ventilation slots and grilles.
  • Remove dust on the outside surfaces with a damp (not wet) cloth.
  • Do not use strong cleaning agents or abrasives.
  • Do not spray the device with liquids or immerse it in water or other liquids.
  • Never open the heater housing.

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
