HOW TO USE

WARNING! Take care to avoid the hot surface of the appliance coming into direct contact with the skin, in particular the eyes, ears, face and neck.
WARNING! Do not touch the hot plates or metal parts of the appliance whilst hot.

• Ensure the hair is dry and combed through to remove any tangles. Divide the hair into sections ready for styling.
• Press the button marked ‘ ’ to turn the appliance on. The indicator light will start flashing and the appliance will automatically start heating up.
• Press the ‘INTENSE’ and ‘PROTECT’ buttons to select a heatsetting suitable for your hair type. The indicator light wil  flash until the selected temperature has been reached. Once the temperature has been reached, the indicator light wil remain solid in colour.
• Place a section of hair between the straightening plates, close to the roots.
• Hold the hair firmly between the straightening plates and slide down the length of the hair from root to tip.
• Repeat for each section of hair.
• Allow the hair to cool before combing through
• After use, press the ‘ ’ button to switch off and unplug the appliance.
• Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.

NOTE: There will be a slight buzzing sound from the appliance which is from the ionic generator releasing the ions. This is normal.

Heat Settings

If you have delicate, fine, bleached or coloured hair, usethe lower heat setting. For thicker hair, use the higher heat setting. It is suggested to always complete a test on initial use to ensure the correct temperature is used on the hair type. Start on the lowest setting and increase the temperature until desired result is achieved.
Below is a guide of the temperature settings:
PROTECT (Green)    = 140°C
PROTECT (Green)   = 160°C
PROTECT (Yellow)   = 180°C
PROTECT (Orange)   = 200°C
INTENSE (Red)       = 220°C
INTENSE (Red)       = 235°C

Straightening Comb Attachments

WARNING! Make sure the appliance is cool before inserting or removing the straightening comb attachments.

• Insert the edge of the straightening comb attachment into the groove by the side of the straightener plate with the bristles facing upwards.
• Slide the comb towards the opposite end of the appliance until it fits in to place.
• To remove the straightening comb attachment, simply slideit away from the appliance.

Auto Shut Off

This appliance has an automatic shut off feature for addedsafety. If the appliance is switched on for more than 72 minutes continuously, it will automatically switch off. If you wish to continue using the appliance after this time, simplypress the ‘ ’ button to turn the power on again.

Heat Mat

This appliance comes with a heat protective mat for use during and after styling. During use, do not place the appliance on any heat sensitive surface, even when using the heat mat provided. After use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Immediately wrap the appliance in the heat mat provided and allow to fully cool down. Continue to keep it out of reach of children as it will remain hot for several minutes.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

To keep your appliance in the best possible condition, please follow the steps below:

• Do not wrap the lead around the appliance, instead coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the power point.
• lways unplug after use. Clean the plates using a soft, dampened cloth, without soap, to preserve the optimal quality of the plates. Do not scratch the plates.
• To protect the plates, store the straightening iron with the plates closed tightly
