Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with a Macbook?****

The M289 does indeed support the MacBook. You can use a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect if your MacBook has a USB-C Thunderbolt connector (not included). Otherwise, you can use an HDMI cable to connect the MacBook’s visual output to a TV.

How do I activate and deactivate eco mode because the button on the side only toggles between HDMI and USB-C?****

The projector will switch between regular and ECO mode when the “+” and “-” volume buttons are pressed and held simultaneously when the projector is on and running. lkdfsghdjhsoibgvIt will show the mode on the screen. The M289 always boots into ECO mode, which has be manually switched to regular mode.

How far should the projector be from the wall if the projected image is 100′ wide?****

My space is large.

Could it jump three metres?****

The Miroir M289 projector should be positioned 8 to 9 feet away from the screen in order to project a 100-inch diagonal image.

Is a case included with it?****

No. A HDMI to HDMI cable and the power adapter/charging cable are included in the box.

Is this projector hangable?****

Yes, the M289 includes a tripod mount on the bottom like our entire projectors do. Additionally, the image can be inverted so that it can be mounted upside down.  For applications involving back projection, the picture can also be reversed.

Can the device only be powered by alternating current? or does the battery have to be charged in addition to being plugged in for it to work?****

Yes, the M289 projector can be powered by alternating current. The battery will charge whenever the projector is plugged into AC power, whether the projector is turned on or not. If the battery is completely depleted, it may take a few minutes for the projector to restart.

Bluetooth headphones connected to the source device?****

Yes, if the source device (such as a cell phone) has Bluetooth capability, this will work. Reduce the projector’s volume and connect to the source device via Bluetooth.

Is keystone an automatic system? Are they both horizontal and vertical? How many degrees are there?****

The M289 projector has automatic keystone correction in the vertical direction of +/- 40 degrees from the horizon. This model has no horizontal or four-point keystone correction.

Is it possible to switch to rear projection?****

I no longer have mine, but I doubt it. It had very limited capabilities. I couldn’t change the size or angle of the screen. I never double-checked the rear projection. However, the image quality was excellent. I hope this helps.

This projector is not as bright as I had hoped. Given, this is my first. Is there a way to adjust the brightness?****

Yes, the M289 has two brightness levels: “Normal” and “ECO.” Toggle between settings by pressing and holding the volume control button in the middle between the “+” and “-” markings for a few seconds.

The two built-in speakers are described as being 2 watts in one place and 3 watts in another. Which of these is it?

Hi, The M289 includes two 2 watt speakers.
