PART 1: IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ CAREFULLY AND STORE FOR FUTURE USE.
  • This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons, ifthey are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and under supervision. Keep this appliance and the power cord out of reach of children that are younger than 8 years of age. Children must not play with the appliance.

  • Before connecting the kettle to a power socket check that the nominal voltage matches the electrical voltage in the socket.

  • Connect the kettle only to a properly grounded socket.

  • The kettle is designed for domestic use and similar places such as:
    – staff kitchens in stores, offices and other workplaces;
    – agricultural farms;
    – hotel or motel rooms and other living areas;
    – bed and breakfast establishments.

  • Do not place the kettle on window sills, kitchen sink drainboards or unstable surfaces. Always place it on a stable, even and dry surface.

  • Do not place the kettle on equipment or devices that are sources of heat.

  • Never use the kettle in the near vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.

  • Do not wash the kettle or its base under running water and do not submerge it or its base in water or another liquid.

  • Only use the kettle with the base that was supplied with it.

  • Use the kettle exclusively for boiling drinking water.
    Do not use it to heat other liquids or foodstuffs.

  • Always take the kettle off the base before filling it.

  • When filling the kettle, make sure that the water level covers at least the minimum mark and also that it does no go over the maximum mark. If the kettle is overfilled, then boiling water could splash out.

  • Take care not to spill water on to the connector when placing the kettle on to the base and when taking it off the base.

  • Check that the lid is securely closed before starting the kettle. Do not open the lid or handle it in any way while the water is boiling.

  • The surface of the heating element and kettle body remains hot after use due to residual heat. Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle for lifting and carrying the kettle.

  • Be especially careful when pouring water out of the kettle to avoid scalding by the boiling water orsteam.

  • Always disconnect the kettle from the power socket when leaving it without supervision, when not using it and before moving or cleaning it.

  • Clean it according to the instructions in chapter Cleaning and maintenance.

  • Disconnect the kettle from the power socket by pulling on the plug, never pull on the power cord. Otherwise, this could damage the power cord or the socket.

  • If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced at a professional service centre. It is forbidden to use the kettle if it has a damaged power cord.

  •  To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the kettle yourself or make any adjustments to it. Have all repairs performed at an authorised service centre. By tampering with the appliance, you risk voiding your legal rights arising from unsatisfactory performance or quality warranty.

PART 2: DESCRIPTION

PART 3: SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The kettle must be placed on a stable, flat and dry surface.

  2. Before first use fill the kettle up to the maximum level, boil the water, pour it out and rinse the kettle.
    Repeat the procedure several times to remove manufacturing deposits, etc.

  3. The kettle turns off automatically when the water has boiled. If necessary you may turn it off using Start/Cancel (10).

  4. After the water has boiled or the kettle has been switched off, wait several seconds before switching it on again.

  5. If you switch the kettle on without water, the overheat protection will automatically shut the appliance off. Leave the kettle to cool down for about 15 minutes before refilling.

PART 4: FIRST USE OF THE MACHINE
Before the first time using, please boil up the water for twice without any additives.

  1. Before filling with water, remove the kettle from the base (5).

  2. Open the lid and fill the kettle with water up to the desired level (between 0,5 l and 1,7 l).

  3. After plugging the base to the power outlet, the display turns on for a moment, all buttons are lit and the appliance beeps once and the Start/Cancel button (10) keep slowly flashing which means that the base is connected to the power source and the kettle is placed on the base.

  4. Close the lid and place the kettle on the power base (5), the appliance beeps once. Then display will turn on and off. After pressing the start heating/cancel heating button the current temperature will appear on the LED display. If no operation is performed, the kettle will turn off automatically.

  5. Press the Start/Cancel button (10) without setting other functions. The kettle turns on, the Start/
    Cancel button will be lit white. The kettle boils water up to 100°C, then switches off automatically and beeps once.

  6.  If you just want to heat up the water, use the boiling temperature buttons „up” or „down”. Press once to change the temperature. The temperature setting will be shown on the display. You may select between the pre-defined temperature settings: from 30°C up to 100°C each 5°C. By pressing the start heating/cancel heating button(10) you will confirm your settings and the kettle will start heating. If the temperature set is lower than the temperature of water in the kettle, the kettle switches of

  7. After reaching the desired temperature of water, the kettle switches off and beeps once.

  8. If you want to select the keep-warm function, press the button (7) , the keep-warm light will be lighted under the button. In this mode press the button „up” or „down” to set the desired temperature.
    The temperature adjustment (increase and decrease) step is 5°C. The available range of temperature setting 30–95°C. By pressing the start heating/cancel heating button you will confirm your settings and the kettle will start heating. In order to switch off the keep-warm function, press the keepwarm button (7) again or Start/Cancel button (10) to switch off the kettle. Otherwise the water
    temperature will be maintained at a pre-set level. If no action is taken for 2 hours in the keep-warm  mode, the kettle will switch off. Press the Start/Cancel button (10) again to turn on the kettle (the kettle beeps once).

  9. If you want to boil water for 1 minute, press the keep warm function button (7); the keep warm indicator will light up under the button. In this mode, set the temperature to 100 °C by pressing the temperature adjustment buttons (up and down). By pressing the start heating/cancel heating button you will confirm your settings and the kettle will start heating The kettle will bring the water to the boiling point and it will maintain this temperature for 1 minute. This way you will decrease the amount of chlorine in water and ensure greater purity of your drink. When you want to turn the function off, press the keep warm function button (7) again or press the start heating/cancel heating button to turn the kettle off.

NOTE!

The kettle may be used only with the based attached. Do not open the lid when boiling water.

30-60°C – blends for babies
70°C – green and white tea
90°C – instant coffee
100°C – black tea

PART 5: CLEANING

Before your cleaning, please unplug the electrical kettle and make sure it has been cooled down.
Never immerse any part of the cable, plug, power cord base or kettle in water or any other liquid.

Exterior of the kettle

Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a piece of damp cloth and then dry it with a piece of dry cloth.
Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the finish of your kettle.

Interior of the kettle

Over using a period of time, lime scale would be built up inside of your kettle.
To remove lime scale:

  1. Half fill the kettle with water and add the juice of a lemon.
  2. Boil up the water and allow it to stand for 15 minutes before discarding.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 several time, please using cold water only. Then the lime scale inside of your electrical kettle will be clean up..

NOTE!

Regularly remove timescale deposits from the kettle according to the instructions below. Before cleaning the kettle, unplug it and wait until it cools down

Regular cleaning:

  1. Fill the kettle with water and vinegar or juice (citric acid) or use a special descaling agent available in household stores.
  2. Leave the kettle for 1 hour, then boil the water.
  3. Empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly with cold water.
  4.  If necessary repeat the procedure 1-3 times.
  5.  To eliminate the smell of vinegar, boil the water several times and pour it out.
  6. Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the kettle with a cloth.
  7. Descaling protects the kettle from damages.

WARNING!

Do not immerse the appliance and the base in water or any other liquids. This may cause electric shock or fire.

NOTE!

Do not use wire brush or any other abrasive objects. Do not clean the kettle with strong detergents
