PHSC 5600 Multi-Cooker
The Camber multi-cooker makes cooking easy with a full digital control panel featuring 12 preset cooking functions including slow cook low, slow cooker high, steam, saute, simmer, fry, yogurt, sous-vide, fondue, rice, annual and delay functions. This multi-cooker includes a non-stick inner pot for easy clean up. Get started cooking with the great recipes that follow and enjoy!
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR YOUR MULTI-COOKER
Carefully read all instructions before operating the Multi- Cooker and save for future reference.

To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the protective cover that is fitted to the power plug on the appliance.

Remove any packaging material and promotional stickers before using the Multi-Cooker for the first time.

Always ensure the Multi-Cooker is properly assembled before use. The removable inner pot must be in place to use this appliance.

Never plug in or switch on the Multi-Cooker without having the removable cooking bowl placed inside the stainless steel housing.

Do not place food or liquid directly into the stainless steel housing. Only the removable cooking bowl is designed to contain food or liquid.

Do not use the removable cooking bowl in a conventional oven. Do not place the removable cooking bowl onto a heat gas or electric burner.

Use only the removable cooking bowl supplied. Do not use any other bowl inside the stainless steel housing.

Do not use a damaged or cracked removable cooking bowl.

Never operate the Multi-Cooker without food and liquid in removable cooking bowl.

Ensure that the food or liquid to be cooked fills half or more of the removable cooking bowl before switching on the appliance.

Do not place the Multi-Cooker on the edge of a bench or table during operation. Ensure the surface is level, clean and free of water and other substances.
• Do not place the Multi-Cooker on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or where it could tou h a heated oven as it could melt the base of the unit. -
Position the Multi-Cooker well away from walls, curtains and other heat or steam sensitive materials. When using the Multi-Cooker, provide adequate space bove and on all sides for air circulation.

If using plastic utensils, do not leave inside the appliance when hot or on sauté setting.

The glass lid has been specially treated to make it stronger, more durable and safer than ordinary glass, however it is not unbreakable, please use caution when handling the glass lid.

Always have the glass lid placed correctly into position on the removable cooking bowl throughout operation of the appliance unless stated in the recipe to have it removed.

Do not move the appliance during cooking.

Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles to move the Multi- Cooker and dry pot holders or oven mitts to remove the removable cooking bowl and lid when hot.

Do not place the removable cooking bowl when hot on any surface that may be affected by heat.

Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Do not place frozen or very cold foods into the removable cooking bowl when it is hot.
-
Do not place removable cooking bowl when hot into cold water or freezer.

Do not place anything, other than the lid, on top of the Multi-Cooker when assembled, when in use and when stored.

Always switch the Multi-Cooker to the ”Off“ position, then unplug and allow to cool.

Before cleaning ALWAYS unplug the unit.

Keep the stainless steel housing, removable cooking bowl and glass lid clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this book.

The Multi-Cooker is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR ALL ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
- Fully unwind the power cord before use.
- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces or become knotted.
- To protect against electric shock do not immerse the power cord, power plug or motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if power cord, power plug or appliance becomes damaged in any way.
- Any maintenance other than cleaning should NOT be performed as this will void the warranty.
- This appliance is for household use only.
WARNING! HOT SURFACE
- Do not use MultiCooker near or under surfaces that are heat sensitive or those that may be damaged by steam.
- Caution glass lid is extremely hot, always use handle when removing the lid.
- To avoid scalding from escaping steam while removing the glass lid, carefully lift the lid angled away from yourself.
- Extreme caution must be used the appliance contains hot food, hot oils and liquids.
- Do not pre-heat or heat the multi-cooker when empty.
- The surfaces of the multi-cooker will become HOT during use. DO NOT TOUCH .
- Wear oven gloves when handling the appliance during and immediately after use and use utensils when checking food.
- The removable container van be used in an oven at maximum temperature of 240 °C. The maximum temperature for the lid is 180 °C.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Clean after each use.

Switch off and unplug the Multi-Cooker and allow to cool completely. Unplug unit before cleaning.

Wash detachable parts (removable bowl and lid) in hot water with dish liquid. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Wipe the external surface of the Multi-Cooker with a soft damp cloth and dry surfaces with a soft dry cloth. Do not use detergent or abrasives as these may
scratch the coating. -
NEVER immerse the cooker body in water.

THE CONTROL PANEL
The control panel lights up the “Start/Cancel” button when connected to the mains. Press it briefly to light up the rest of the LED display. To select one of the 11 preset cooking functions by pressing the „mode“ button. The time and temperature can be adjusted by pressing button “Temp/Time”. To adjust the time press button “Temp/Time” to choose time mode,the LED display will show 00:00.(there is a colon on LED. To adjust Temp by press button “Temp/Time” to choose temp mode ,the LED will show 0000 (no colon on LED), then to adjust the time or temp by press “+” to increase time or “-” to decrease time. When you reach the desired time and temperature, press the “Start/Cancel” button and the appliance will start cooking. You can stop the function by pressing and holding the “Start/Cancel” button for 3 seconds. By long-pressing the buttons “+” or “-” can be used to quickly set the required value.
SOUND OFF
The device can beep beep. After inserting the plug into the socket and putting
the unit into “stand by” mode, press and hold the “Start/Cancel” button for 4
seconds and “bP Of” appears on the display, indicating that the sound has been
turned off. If you press and hold the “Start/Cancel” button again for 4
seconds, the display will show “bP On” and the sound will start again.
COOKING STEP BY STEP
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Before first use remove all promotional stickers and packaging material. Hand wash the removable cooking bowl and glass lid in hot soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Ensure the interior of the stainless steel housing is clean and clear of any debris.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before placing the removable cooking bowl in the stainless steel housing,
ensure the exterior is clean and dry.
This will ensure proper contact with the inner cooking surface
WARNING: The temperature sensor remains hot after cooking, which means that
further cooking can be influenced by its high temperature. We therefore
recommend to let the appliance cool down after further use.
USING THE SLOW COOK FUNCTION (SLOW COOK)
- Place ingredients in the inner pot.
- Press button button ”Mode” to choose Slow cook function. Press button ”Mode” one time to choose low cook Low,press button ”Mode” again to choose slow cooker High.
- After choose the function, pls press button “Start /Cancel” to start the cooking.
- This function works best with the lid placed on the multi-cooker.
- For Slow cook Low/High, you can choose cooking time from 30min to 12H. Only time can be selected for this function.
Pls note Slow cook High and Slow cook Low functions,after cooking finish,the multi-cooker will turn to keep warm automatically in 6 hours.

Slow-cooked meals are the favorite of every busy cook. Although many people already have favorite recipes, here are some easy hints and tips follow:
- Slow-cooked foods don’t need much liquid, but there should be at least 1 cup in the Removable Cooking Pot to start.
- Foods will cook over a long period of time and create liquid. However, check occasionally during the cooking period to ensure the contents of the Pot do not become dry. Carefully open the Glass Tempered Lid and add a small amount of liquid.
- Fill the Removable Cooking Pot at least halfway with food for best slow-cooking results.
- Cut all ingredients into uniform sizes for best results.
- Cuts of meat such as brisket, pork shoulder, chuck roast, and chops are perfect when slow- cooked.
- Seafood and shellfish should not be added to a slow-cooked dish until the last 30 to 60 minutes of cooking. Refer to your recipe for directions.
- Do not place frozen, unthawed meat or seafood into the Removable Cooking Pot for slow-cooking.
USING THE STEAM FUNCTION (STEAM)
- Place ingredients in the steam rack.
- Choose steam function.
- The temperature is preset on this function and only time can be selected for this function.
- To change the time, press button ”Temp/Time” Until the LED show 00:00 .
- Then press “+” and “-” to adjust cooking time (range is from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours).
- After choosing time, Press button “Start/Cancel” to start the cooking.
- This function works best with the lid placed on the multi-cooker.

Stew practically cooks itself inside your Multi-Cooker! Use the Stew Mode to set the time and walk away until it’s done. Here are some handy tips for usage:
- Select cuts of meat such as chuck roast and chuck steak that will become tender within the cooking time. Meat should be no more than 2 inches thick and cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Add thawed mixed frozen vegetables for a quick addition to stew. Spread the vegetables around the meat pieces.
- Try easy classic recipes such as Coq au Vin, a superbly simple dish of stewed chicken thighs with mushrooms and a wine sauce. Serve over rice or pasta for an incredible one-pot dinner.
USING THE FRY FUNCTION (FRY)
- Plug in the multi-cooker.
- Choose Fry function.
- The default temperature is 160 °C and the default time is 30 minutes.
- You can adjust temperature at 5 level: 120 °C, 140 °C, 160 °C, 180 °C, 200 °C , Press “+” and “-” to adjust cooking time (range is from 10 minutes to 1:30 ours).
- After setting, press button ”Start/Cancel” start cooking. Place ingredients in the frying basket and put inside the cooking pot.
USING YOGURT FUNCTION (YOGURT)
- Plug in the multi-coooker.
- Choose Yogurt function.
- Yogurt function can not choose cooking temperature, but you can choose cooking time from 4 hours to 12 hours.
- After setting, press button ”Start/Cancel” to start the cooking.

Homemade yogurt is a tart and tangy treat that is incredibly easy to make in the Multi-Cooker. Use this Cooking Mode for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours to make thick, creamy, and rich homemade yogurt.
- Place the Removable Cooking Pot into the Base. Fill up to halfway with water, depending on how many jars of yogurt you will be cooking. Place the filledand lidded jars of yogurt into the water bath in the Removable Cooking Pot and select the Yogurt Mode for cooking.
- Follow your recipe directions carefully to ensure complete success. Remove jars when done. Refrigerate until using.
USING THE SOUS VIDE FUNCTION
- acuum seal the food in the suitable size vacuum sealed food saving bags.
- Fill the inner pot with water.
- Put the sealed bag into the room temperature water ensure the bags is fully immersed in the water.
- Use the Sous Vide rack to separate the bags if multiple bags are being cooked.
- This function can choose cooking time from 30 min to 24 hours. Cooking temperature can choose from 25 °C to 100 °C . You can choose temperature for every 2 or 3°C.
- Place the lid on the multi-cooker, and choose sous vide function. This function works best with the lid on the multi-cooker.
- The default temperature is 55 °C and 30 min, use the button “Temp/Time” to set desired time and temperature.
- The count down on sous vide time does not begin until the desired temperature is reached. When the temperature is reached the machine will automatically go into the count down function.
- If want to stop the cooking, turn the knob to off.

The art of sous vide cooking is truly an art! It is simple in nature, yet this cooking method is often mostly used by gourmet chefs to prepare complex, rich entrées and vegetables. But now you can bring the ÿve-star quality to your kitchen.
- Be sure to refer to the Cooking Guide in your Recipe Book for full sous vide The thickness of meat, poultry, and ÿsh will determine the length of cooking cooking information.
- The thickness of meat, poultry, and ÿsh will determine the length of cooking time. Use an instant-read thermometer after removing from the bag to guarantee that a safe internal temperature is indicated.
- Food safety in handling and cooking is always a priority. When unsure of doneness, add 30 minutes to the cook time to pasteurize eggs and/or poultry.
- Searing after cooking gives foods a crispy texture and an appealing appearance. When meat is done, pour oil into a smoking-hot skillet and quickly sear the cooked meat for 30 seconds on each side. This gives the meat a rich color and a satisfying crust.
- Vegetables will cook faster if they are thinly sliced or cut in small pieces. If left whole, they will take more time to become tender. Either way, the natural sweetness and full nutritional value adds to the delight in sous vide vegetables.
- Fruit can be cooked sous vide to make toppings, purees, syrups, and more. Cook for 2 to 2½ hours at 70°C and let cool in the bag before using.
- To prep meat, poultry, and ÿsh, add seasonings or rubs before bagging. Vacuum-seal or use the Water Displacement Method to remove the water from the bag before cooking (see following).
- Always use a BPA-free vacuum-sealed bag when cooking foods.
- The vacuum packing machine PHILCO PHVS 3030 can be used for vacuum packing which can be used for cooking using the SOUS VIDE method with great success.
Water Displacement Method
- Fill a large plastic container with cool water.
- Prep your food to be cooked and place food in a BPA-free plastic freezer bag. Do not seal.
- Slowlyimmerse the food-filled bag into the water. This will force the air out as the bag is immersed.
- Continue immersing the bag until just before the water reaches the top of the bag.
- With the bag in the water, close or zip to seal, forcing out all remaining air as much as possible.
USING FONDUE FUNCTION.
- Plug in the multicoooker.
- Choose Fondue function .
- Fondue function only can choose cooking temperature from 25 °C to 85 °C. You can choose temperature for every 10 °C. The cooking time can not adjust.
- After setting, press the button ”Start/Cancel” to start cooking. It is really a good function to make a chocolate and butter fondue.
USING THE RICE FUNCTION (RICE)
- Put rice and water in the inner pot.
- Choose the rice function button
- There is no time displayed during this function since the machine works off a moisture sensor. The LED display will show ON. After cooking, the machine will turn to keep warm automatically.
- This function works best with the lid placed on the multi-cooker.

Your Multi-Cooker will prepare rice perfectly. Because there are many types of
rice, refer to your package instructions for exact measurements of rice-to-
liquid.
Try inventive and fun rice dishes like risotto, jambalaya, Cajun shrimp and
rice, rice pudding, and other favorites.
- Do not pre-soak rice, but rinse it in water, if desired. Add salt, if desired.
- To make °u˜y long grain white rice perfectly, use a 1:1 ratio (3 cups water to 3 cup rice). Add one tablespoon butter to the rice before cooking to help keep rice from sticking and to add a deopth of flavor.
- Use the Keep Warm Mode for up to 4 hours, if desired. Rice will hold safely for this length of time at a low temperature.
USING MANUAL FUNCTION
- This function is for DIY setting. Time setting from 5 min to 12 hours. Temperature setting from 20 °C to 220 °C.
- The default time is 6H and default temperature is 100 °C.

Cooking in the Manual Mode offers a wide range of temperatures and times from
which to choose. With both very low and high temperatures and times ranging
from 5 minutes to 12 hours, you can select just about any combination for your
favorite recipes.
- Because the Multi-Cooker is smaller than typical ovens, be sure to check foods early in the cooking process to ensure they do not overcook.
- Add a small amount of oil or butter if heating and mixing vegetables.
- The Manual Mode is a place where you can explore and create new recipes or reÿne classics and family favorites. Save time and energy by using the economical Multi-Cooker!
USING KEEP WARM FUNCTION.
- You can choose keep warm time is from 30 min to 12 hours. The default time is 6 hours.

The Keep Warm Mode is a great way to “heat and hold” foods until everyone is
ready to eat. The Multi-Cooker o˜ers this convenience for up to 12 hours.
Warm feature. It is unhealthful and potentially dangerous to allow cooked
foods to stand at low temperatures for long periods of time.
USING DELAY FUNCTION
You can set your delay time from 5 min to 24 hours. Delay function only can
use on Slow cook,Steam, Simmer, yogurt, Sous vide, rice.
If you want slow cook High function (in 4 hours ) with 8 hours delay time. The
setting must follow:
Press ”Mode” button to choose slow cook High, choose cooking time in 4
hours,then press “Delay“ button and press + or – to choose 8 hours,after
setting, press START button to start cooking.
FOOD SAFETY
- Thoroughly defrost frozen meat, poultry, fish and seafood in the refrigerator before cooking. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from cooked foods.
- Always wash hands after handling raw meat and poultry, before handling any ready to eat foods.
- Wipe and disinfect surfaces that have been in contact with raw meat and poultry.
- Use separate utensils for handling raw meat/poultry and cooked food or wash them thoroughly between use.
- Always check whether meat, particularly poultry is cooked to the safe serving temperature.
