Safety Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully BEFORE INSTALLING and using the HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module. Keep this guide in a safe place for future reference.

  • Installation and repairs are to be performed by a qualified contractor in strict accordance with the requirements of state and local regulating agencies. In the absence of local requirements, follow ANSI/NFPA 70, National Electric Code.
  • The HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module is powered by 12 VDC through the RJ45 Connector from an HTM-01 Base Module. DO NOT APPLY external power to this device.
  • DO NOT expose the HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module to water. · DO NOT store the HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module where temperatures drop below -20°F (4°C) or exceed 122°F (60°C) · DO NOT operate the HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or exceed 113°F (45°C)
  • DO NOT use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents to clean this device. A dry soft cloth is recommended.

Installation

For best results, the HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module is to be mounted in a convenient location on the exterior of the HVAC equipment where there is no sheet metal between the Wi-Fi Module and the Wi-Fi router.

  • Affix the device to a suitable location using the double-sided mounting adhesive provided. MAKE SURE the Connector Cable will easily reach from the HTM-01 Base Module to the HTZ-01 Wi-Fi Module.
  • Remove the protective label from both modules and connect them together using the Connector Cable with RJ45 Connectors on each end.
  • Once power is supplied to the HTZ-01 Module from the Base Module, follow the application guide (www.habitattechnologies.com/downloads) to setup the Wi-Fi network.
