Product Description

Product Description

  1. Power & Mode LED – The power switch is on the rear panel and The Mode LED indicates when the unit is on.
  2. Mode Switch – EQ and tone settings.
    • Concert: Best for live performances.
    • Club: Ideal for program music playback.
    • Monitor: Optimized for minimizing feedback when used as a stage monitor.
  3. Master Control – Independantly sets the audio level.
  4. Activity LED – Illuminates when signal is sent to the Master.
  5. Bluetooth® Pairing – Depress the Bluetooth® switch for about 4-seconds. The blue LED will flash when the unit is ready to be paired.
  6. Linking Multiple Units with Bluetooth® – Pair the first cabinet in the chain and ‘enable’ the onboard mixer (all other units should be unpaired). Link from the L/Link output to the recieving enclosure’s Main In jack using an XLR cable. If Stereo is desired, set the “paired” unit to Stereo Mode, the paired unit will play the Right and the ‘wired’ unit will play the Left.
  7. Onboard Mixer – The Mixer Enable switch turns the onboard mixer ‘on’ or ‘off.’ The onboard mixer should not be used when a source other than another YXL Series powered speaker (or similar) is connected to the LINK jack.
    • Channel Level & Clip LEDs – The Level adjusts the input sensitivity and each channel’s signal being sent to the Master. The clip LEDs illuminate 3 dB before clipping and are affected by both the source’s gain and each channel’s level. NOTE: Bluetooth® level can be made on the source device.
    • Channel 1 Mic / Instrument In – Dynamic, condenser or phantom powered microphones may be connected to the XLR input, phantom power is built-in. The 1/4-inch TRS input is optimized for guitars, basses or keyboards. Do NOT use both XLR and 1/4-inch inputs simultaneously.
    • Channel 2 Mic / Line In – Dynamic, condenser or phantom powered microphones may be connected to the Mic input, phantom power is built-in. The 1/4-inch TRS input can be used with any line source with a line output. Do NOT use both XLR and 1/4-inch inputs simultaneously.
    • Channel 3 Stereo Aux In – The 1/8-inch Line input jack is a ‘stereo’ input which properly sums the left and right signals from stereo sources such as MP3 players.
  8. Sub Switch – For operation with a subwoofer, shuts off the low boost and filters out signals below 100 Hz. This only affects the signals to the internal amplifier and does not affect signals passing through the Link connections.
  9. Main In – This input jack is the correct input to use when driving the YXL Series unit with an external mixer or from another YXL link output.
  10. Stereo/Mono Switch – Works in conjunction with the R/Link out jacks. If a single YXL Series Powered unit is used as the source, the originating unit will be mono or Left channel only, depending on the switch position. When in the out position (R), the Right channel is routed to the output of the link. When in the out position (R), the Left channel is routed to the output of the link. When the switch is selected, the output of the Link is Mono (stereo signals summed). This allows a pair of “Linked” YXL cabinets to give you stereo playback. Mono sources will still play normally through both cabinets.
