Use
- The device is suitable for mixing and chopping foods such as fruits, vegetables and nuts as well as for preparing juices, smoothies and shakes.
- After mixing/blending, the 700 ml and 500 ml mixing containers can be used as drinking bottles by replacing the blade unit with a drinking cap. The small 300 ml container is suitable for milling and chopping harder ingredients such as coffee beans, nuts and cereals. On Page 16 you will find an overview table with the recommended applications regarding the combinations of knives and mixing containers.
- The mixer has three auto programmes: making smoothies crushing ice and chopping/grinding hard ingredients Alternatively, you can manually choose between 6 different speeds by using the “+” and “-” buttons (9) or use the pulse function.
Getting started
Clean the device before use as described in the chapter entitled “Cleaning and
care.”
Using the mixing containers (500 ml and 700 ml)
-
Cut the desired ingredients into small pieces and place them in the mixing container (14 or 15).
Please note the MAX mark on the relevant container. Always add at least 100ml of liquid (e.g. water, juice or milk) to ensure that you get a homogeneous mixture.
Tip: The light ingredients should always sit on the blade unit. As the container is rotated to close it, we recommend that you add the light ingredients to the container last of all. -
Now screw in the blade unit (5 or 16) by twisting it clockwise onto the mixing container. Check that the blade unit is fastened firmly to the mixing container and forms a tight seal.
-
Stand the mixing container on the relevant recesses in the drive unit (6) and turn the container in a clockwise direction until it locks into place.
Warning: The appliance only works if the mixing container is attached correctly. A safety shutdown prevents operation without the mixing container. -
Now plug the appliance into a mains socket.
-
Press the On/Off switch (12) to turn the appliance on.The display lights up and is ready for selection. Note: If the display does not light up, the container is not placed correctly on the drive unit.
-
Now select the function you want:
- Auto programmes: You can choose one of the programmes using the Programme button (7).
- smoothies crushing ice and chopper/grinder The selected programme appears in the display with the relevant symbol. To start the programme, press the Start/Stop button (11). The mixing process can be stopped at any time using the Start/Stop button.
Note: If you think the food that has been mixed is still too coarse, you can repeat the proramme. However, be aware that the mixer should not be in operation for more than 1 minute at a time. After the mixer has been in operation for a minute you should then pause for a minute so that it can be run on full power again afterwards. Speeds: You can choose the speed you want on a scale from 1 to 6 using the “plus or minus buttons” (9). To start mixing, press the Start/Stop button. The speed can be adjusted while the mixer is in motion. The mixing process stops automatically after 1 minute, but it can be stopped beforehand at any time using the Start/Stop button. Pulse: When you press the Pulse button, the motor starts running at the highest speed possible. This is especially useful for several short pulses one after the other, e.g. for mixing layers of ingredients, loosening them or for mixing them again before pouring them out.
-
Switch off the device using the On/Off button. The display goes out.
Note: You can also stop the mixing process anytime by pushing the On/off switch. -
Unplug the appliance from the mains before removing the mixing container from the drive unit by turning the container in an anticlockwise direction.
-
Turn the mixing container upside-down so that the blade unit is pointing upwards.
-
Turn the blade unit in an anticlockwise direction and remove it.
Caution! Never place the blade unit with the blades pointing downwards. This can damage the blades and scratch surfaces. -
You can now pour out your smoothie, juice or shake. Alternatively, you can also use the mixing container as a bottle. For this you must screw a drinking cap (13) onto the mixing container.
Using the 300 ml mixing container
- The small mixing container is particularly suitable for dry ingredients. Please refer to the overview on Page 16 for examples for use and fill quantities.
- Fill and close the mixing container as described in the chapter entitled “Using the mixing containers (500 ml and 700 ml).” Having successfully chopped up your ingredients, remove the mixing container from the drive unit and unscrew the blade unit.
- A lid (18) is supplied for storing the prepared ingredients, if desired.
Using the mixing jug (1200 ml)
-
Remove the lid (2) from the mixing jug and turn it upside-down. Then attach the desired blade unit to the base of the jug by turning it in a clockwise direction. We recommend using the cross blade (5). Check that the blade unit is fastened firmly to the jug and forms a tight seal.
-
Turn the jug back around and add the desired ingredients, which you have previously chopped into small pieces. Please note the MAX mark. Always add at least 100ml of liquid (e.g. water, juice or milk) to ensure that you get a homogeneous mixture.
Tip: First fill with the light ingredients and the liquid. -
Place the lid on the jug. Ensure that the lid is attached firmly and the closing cap (1) is inserted correctly. The filler opening can be used to add extra ingredients to the jug whilst mixing.
Warning! Moving blade may cause splashing! -
Now follow instructions numbers 3-8 in the chapter entitled “Using the mixing containers (500 ml and 700 ml).”
-
Remove the lid from the jug to pour out your freshly prepared smoothie or shake.
Cable winder
If you want to wind up the cable, you can use the velcro tape provided.
- Make sure that the visible maximum quantities on the container are never exceeded.
- In case of an emergency, press the On/Off button to immediately interrupt the mixing process.
Cleaning and Care
- Remove the mains plug after use. Never immerse the drive unit in water, simply wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents. Take care that when cleaning the blade unit you do not injure yourself on the sharp blades.
- For ease of cleaning, all mixing containers and lids, the jug and the blade units can be put in the dishwasher.
- The silicon seals of the drinking caps can be removed for cleaning. However, before reassembling, check whether the seal has been reinserted correctly. If not, the mixing container may leak.
Note: If necessary, you can clean the inside of the jug handle. To do this, remove the grip cover (4) by pulling the tab forwards (see image). Dry the handle after cleaning and press the grip cover back onto the handle until you hear a click.
