Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do they plug into the apple I phone 7s?
They work, but you will need the adapter (3.5mm headphone jack to Apple Lightning Jack). -
Hi, are all the earbud tips waterproof?, currently I’m using just the cone pair, mine came just with sphere tips and 1 pair of cone tips?
Can’t really say- have only used the cone tips and they work fine. -
Does the mp3 include?
This listing does not include the H2O Audio Stream Player. Click on the following link for the listing which includes the Mp3 player. -
All of my earbuds seem to slip off the speaker and get stuck in my ears. Will these come out easier?
I had the same problem so now use superglue to firmly attach the earbud covers to the speaker. This has worked well for me. -
Will these headphones act successfully as earplugs?
I would say yes, but not so successfully as headphones. The sound gets all muffled. -
Are these good for lounging in the pool floating around? I don’t want to ruin my nice headphones if I fall off my float and go underwater lol
H2O Audio technology ensures these headphones can withstand heavy perspiration, and complete submersion to 12ft/3.6m underwater. Waterproof Rating: IPX8. -
Does this only work with an iPod mp3 or can you use a traditional mp3?
I suppose it would work with a waterproof device. I use a special waterproof iPod. I wasn’t particularly impressed with these. I keep them as backups. -
Why do people who swim listen to music?
Music can be a significant part of the pre-race routine and preparation for many competitive swimmers. A swimmer’s cardiovascular system may respond to the beat of a song by increasing their stroke rate (tempo), improving their balance and rhythm, and increasing the distance they cover with each stroke (DPS) -
How do you use the “wings” that came with the other buds?
The black half-moon-shaped pieces which are included with your headphones are ear fins. These can be installed by removing the Blue earbud, placing the desired size on the speaker then replacing the Blue earbud. When installed they will hook into the top of your outer ear and help hold the headphones in place. There are 3 different sizes included. -
What would happen if i took these scuba diving down to 70 feet?
These are not for SCUBA diving. The headphones are rated for 10ft/3m. The sound will stop working at a certain pressure and for safety reasons, we do not recommend putting the earphone in your ear as your dive. -
Can they work with iPhones? Underwater
First and most importantly, iPhones aren’t waterproof. The earbuds would be fine but you’d fry your phone. So the answer is ‘no’. However, if you have somehow waterproofed your iPhone, then yes, the audio jack on the underwater headphones is the same size as those that come w/iPhones, at least the ones that actually have audio jacks.
Are these only the earbuds and not the entire unit?
Yes, I believe so. I use these waterproof earbuds with my H20 water stream player. There are several waterproof players on the market. I believe most come with waterproof earbuds, which mine did. However, they stopped working after a year or so and I purchased new waterproof headphone -
Are they resistant to sea/salty water?
Yes – they are perfectly fine for sea and salt water. We recommend you rinse the headphones after use to avoid any salt build-up. We have a lot of open water swimmers, surfers,s and kite surfers using them in the sea. -
I just bought the waterproof shuffle and the headphone that come with it suck!!! they are totally tinny. how is the bass on these?
The bass is quite nice OUT OF THE WATER but in the water, the base part of this headphone is so wide that my ear can’t accommodate it, not with any of the attached rubber pieces, so which lets water in since it pops out and then I hear nothing I’ve never been able to use them swimming.
