  • Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to break or tamper with the safety interlocks.
  • Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
  • WARNING: If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a competent person.

The full cost of any warranty service call regarding the damage that is assessed to be the result of excessive weight of any kind being placed onto the oven door will be for the care of the owner.

EARTHING INSTALLATION TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY

DANGER
Electric Shock Hazard Touching some of the internal components can cause serious personal injury or death. Do not disassemble this appliance.

WARNING

  • Electric Shock Hazard Improper use of the earthing can result in electric shock.
  • Do not plug into an outlet until the appliance is properly installed and earthed.
  • This appliance must be earthed. In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
  • This appliance is equipped with a cord having an earthing wire with an earthed plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and earthed.

Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the earthing instructions are not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly earthed. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord.

  1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. If a long cord set or extension cord is used:

CLEANING

Be sure to unplug the appliance from the power supply.

  1. Clean the cavity of the oven after using a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Clean the accessories in the usual way in soapy water.
  3. The door frame and seal and neighboring parts must be cleaned carefully with a damp cloth when they are dirty.
  4. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in the shattering of the glass.
  5. Cleaning Tip—For easier cleaning of the cavity walls that the food cooked can touch: Place half a lemon in a bowl, add 300ml of water, and heat on 100% microwave power for 10 minutes. Wipe the oven clean using a soft, dry cloth.

Personal Injury Hazard
It is hazardous for anyone other than a qualified person to carry out any service or repair operation that involves the removal of a cover that gives protection against exposure to microwaveenergy.

UTENSILS
See the instructions on page 9 “Materials you can use in microwave oven or to be avoided in the microwave oven.” There may be certain non-metallic utensils that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt, you can test the utensil in question following the procedure below.

Utensil Test:

  1. Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil in question.
  2. Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.
  3. Carefully feel the utensil. If the empty utensil is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.
  4. Do not exceed 1 minute of cooking time.

SETTING UP YOUR OVEN

Names of Oven Parts and Accessories
Remove the oven and all materials from the carton and oven cavity. Your oven comes with the following accessories:

Turntable Installation

  • Never place the glass tray upside down. The glass tray should never be restricted.
  • Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used during cooking.
  • All food and containers of food should always be placed on the glass tray for cooking.
  • If the glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact your nearest authorized service center.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

  1. This appliance is only intended for domestic use.
  2. This oven is intended for built-in use only. It is not intended for counter-top use or for use inside a closed cupboard.
  3. Please observe the special installation instructions.
  4. The appliance can be installed in a 60cm wide wall-mounted cupboard.
  5. The appliance is fitted with a plug and must only be connected to a properly installed earthed socket.
  6. The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage specified on the rating plate.
  7. The socket must be installed and connecting cable must only be replaced by a qualified electrician. If the plug is no longer accessible following installation, an all-pole disconnecting device must be present on the installation side with a contact gap of at least 3mm.
  8. Adapters, multi-way strips, and extension leads must not be used. Overloading can result in a risk of fire.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This microwave oven uses modern electronic control to adjust cooking parameters to better meet your cooking needs.

Clock Setting
When the microwave oven is electrified. the oven will display “0:00”, the buzzer will ring once.

  1. Press” Kitchen Timer/Clock ” twice, and the hour figures flash.
  2. Press “+or-” to adjust the hour figures, the input time should be within 0–23.
  3. Press” Kitchen Timer/Clock “, and the minute figures will flash.
  4. Press “+or-” to adjust the minute figures, the input time should be within 0–59.
  5. Press” Kitchen Timer/Clock ” to finish clock setting.”:” will flash, the clock setting has been finished.

Note:

  1. If the clock is not set, the clock would not function when powered.
  2. During the process of clock setting, if you press” STOP /Clear “, the oven will go back to the previous status automatically.

Microwave Cooking

  1. Press the” Micro./Grill/Combi. “key once, and “P100” will display.
  2. Press” Micro./Grill/Combi. “orpress “+or-” to select the microwave power from 100% to 10 %. “P100”, “P80”, “P50”, “P30”, “P10” will display in order.
  3. Press ” STARTt+30Sec./Confirm “to confirm.
  4. Press”+ or-” to select the cooking time. (The time setting should be 0:05- 95:00.)
  5. Press” STARTt+30Sec./Confirm ” to start cooking.

NOTE: the step quantities for the adjustment time of the coding switch are as follow:

  • 0—1 min 5 seconds
  • 1—5 min 10 seconds
  • 5—10 min 30 seconds
  • 10—30 min 1 minute
  • 30—95 min 5 minutes

Grill or Combination Cooking
Press “Micro./Grill/Combi.” until the LED display shows “P100”, and press “Micro./Grill/Combi. ” or press” +or-“to choose the power you want, and “G” “C-1” or “C-2” will display. Then press “START430Sec./Confirm ” to confirm, and turn to set cooking time from 0:05 to 95:00. Press “START+30Sec./Confirm” again to start cooking.

Example: If you want to use 55% microwave power and 45% grill power(C-1) to cook for 10 minutes, you can operate the oven using the following steps:

  1. Press ” Micro./Grill/Combi. ” once, and the screen displays “P100”.
  2. Continue to press ” Micro./Grill/Combi.” until the screen displays “C-1”
  3. Press ” START/430Sec/Confirm ” to confirm.
  4. Press “tor-” to adjust the cooking time until the oven displays “10:00”.

Note:
Halfway through the grill time, the oven sounds twice, and this is normal. For a better grilling result, you should turn the food over at this time, close the door, and then press ” START/430Sec./Confirm ” to continue cooking. If no operation, the oven will continue working.

Defrost By Weight

  1. Press” Weight/Time Defrost ” once, and the screen will display “dEF1”.
  2. Press “+or-” to select the food weight. The range of weight is 100-2000g.
  3. Press the” STARTA30Sec./Confirm ” key to start defrosting.

Defrost By Time

  1. Press ” Weight/Time Defrost ” twice, and the screen will display “dEF2”.
  2. Press “For” to select the cooking time. The maximum time is 95 minutes.
  3. Press the” START+30Sec/Confirm ” key to start defrosting.

Multi-Stage Cooking
Two stages can be set for a cooking process. If one stage is defrosting, it should be set as the first stage. The buzzer will sound once after each stage and the next stage will begin.
Note: Auto menu cannot be set as one of the stages in multi-stage cooking.

Example: You want to defrost the food for 5 minutes, then cook with 80% microwave power for 7 minutes. The steps are as follows:

  1. Press ” Weight/Time Defrost ” twice, and the LED display “dEF2”.
  2. Press “+or” to adjust the defrost time to 5 minutes;
  3. Press ” Micro./Grill/Combi. ” once, LED will display “P100”.
  4. Press “+ or-“to choose microwave power till “P80” displays;
  5. Press” START+30Sec./Confirm ” to confirm, LED will display “P80”.
  6. Press “+or-” to adjust the cooking time to 7 minutes;
  7. Press ” START/+30Sec./Confirm ” to start cooking.

Kitchen Timer

  1. Press” KitchenTimer/Clock ” once, LED will display 00:00.
  2. Press”+or-” to enter the correct time. (The maximum cooking time is 95 minutes.)
  3. Press “START/+30Sec./Confirm ” to confirm the setting, timer indicator will be lighted.
  4. When the set Kitchen time is reached, the timer indicator will go out. The buzzer will sound 5 times. If the clock has been set (24-hour system), the LED display will show the Current time.

Note:
The Kitchen Timer is different to the 24-hour system clock. The Kitchen Timer is a timer.

Auto Menu

  1. In waiting for the state, press “+” to choose the menu from “A1” to “A8”.
  2. Press” START/»30sec./Confirm “to confirm the menu you choose.
  3. Press “+or=”to choose the food weight.
  4. Press ” START/+30Sec./Confirm ” to start cooking.
  5. After cooking finishes, the buzzer sounds five times.

Quick Start Cooking

  1. In waiting for the state, press the ” START/430Sec./Confirm ” key to cook with 100% power level for 30 seconds. Each press on the same key will increase cooking time by 30 seconds. The maximum cooking time is 95 minutes.
  2. During the microwave, grill, combination cooking and the defrost by time process, press ” START430Sec./Confirm” to increase the cooking time.
  3. In waiting for the state, press “-” to set cooking time with 100% microwave power, then press “START/+30Sec./Confirm” to start cooking.

Note:
While using the auto menu and defrost by weight, cooking time cannot be increased by pressing ” START+30Sec/Confirm”.

Child Lock

Lock:
In waiting for the state, press “STOP Clear ” for 3 seconds, there will be a long beep denoting entering the child-lock state and the current time will display if the time has been set, otherwise, the LED will display ” 0:00″.

To Unlock:
In a locked state, press ” STOP /Clear ” for 3 seconds. There will be a long “beep” denoting that the lock is released.

Inquiry Function

  1. While using a microwave, grill, or combination press “Micro/Grill/Combi”. The current power will be displayed for 2-3 seconds.
  2. During the cooking state, press “Kitchen Timer/Clock” to check the current time. It will be displayed for 2-3 seconds.

Other Functions

  1. ” START/+30Sec./Confirm ” must be pressed to continue cooking if the door is opened during cooking.
  2. Once the cooking program has been set if “START/430Sec./Confirm ” is not pressed within 5 minutes, the current time will be displayed and the setting will be canceled.
  3. The buzzer sounds once with a firm press on a key. If the pressure exerted is not enough to operate the key the buzzer won’t sound.

To open the oven door
Press the button, and the oven door will be opened.

When booking service please provide your Model No: MWG4512K and the individual Serial Number of your appliance. This is found on the label inside the front of the oven, visible when the oven door is open.

Before making preparations for or commencing installation, the installer should refer to the cur Manual, which is available on ).

NOTE: Electrical Connection
The oven is fitted with a plug and must only be connected to a properly installed earthed socket. The socket must only be installed and the connecting cable must only be replaced by a qualified electrician. An appropriate switch must be present on the installation side with a contact gap of at least 3mm. The fitted cabinet must not have a closed back wall behind the appliance. A gap must be maintained between the wall and the base of the unit above. Specific gap sizes may be found in the following diagrams: Minimum installation height: 85cm. Do not cover ventilation slots and suction holes.

Prepare the cabinet

Install the oven

  1. Install the oven to the cabinet
    • Make sure the back of the oven is locked by a bracket.
    • Do not trap or kink the power cord.

  1. Compass Capital Services Pty Ltd ABN 96 138 214 525 trading as Kleenmaid will provide parts and labour to you the customer as set out herein.

  2. Kleenmaid’s Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

  3. The benefits given to you under this Kleenmaid Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies to which you may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the Product to which this Kleenmaid Warranty relates. Subject to the conditions below, the Product is warranted by Kleenmaid and/or its agents to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the Warranty Period for normal Domestic Use.

  4. Product Identification: –

    • Kleenmaid reserves the right to reject claims for any services or work where you cannot produce for verification the serial number and a proof of purchase for the Product (including but not limited to the original invoice).
    • this Kleenmaid Warranty will be voided if the serial number for the Product cannot be verified. This is not intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy to which you may otherwise be entitled under the consumer guarantee provisions of the Australian Consumer Law.
    • in the event that a request for repair is made against this Kleenmaid Warranty where the serial number for the Product cannot be verified or you cannot produce for verification a proof of purchase for the Product (including but not limited to the original invoice), the repairer will not carry out any repairs on the Product and you will be charged a service call-out fee.
  5. What is covered by this Kleenmaid Warranty: –

    • the Product is covered for faulty workmanship or parts that have failed under normal Domestic Use.
    • Kleenmaid and/or its agents will determine by objective testing if there are any defects in the Product and/or faulty workmanship.
    • this Kleenmaid Warranty is only applicable if repairs on Products are carried out within Mainland Australia.
    • this Kleenmaid Warranty: –
    • covers a Product purchased as new, manufactured for use in Mainland Australia;
    • commences from the date of delivery of the Product;
    • provides for the labor and replacement parts necessary to maintain the Product in good operating condition as specified in this Kleenmaid Warranty, however, if repair is needed because of a Product failure during normal Domestic Use, Kleenmaid has the option to repair or replace the defective Product or part of the Product with a product or part of like kind and quality. A replacement part may be new or reconditioned of like kind and quality and may cost less than the original Product purchased and no charges or refunds will be made based on the replacement product or part cost difference, and iv. is only applicable when the Product is used and operated in accordance with the Manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. What is not covered by this Kleenmaid Warranty (excluded):-

    • any damage or failure to or of the Product or part of the Product:

    • due to the Product being inadequately serviced to manufacturer’s recommendations;
      resulting from environmental conditions including and not limited to dirt, dust, rodents, insects, rust, corrosion, salt built-up, of or in any part of the Product;

    • resulting from excessive use but fair wear and tear is excepted;

    • resulting from poor installation including and not limited to positioning and externally fitted equipment such as plumbing and drainage, cabling, antennae or due to incompatibility of connected equipment;

    • caused by overheating as a result of sitting or positioning of the Product, where there is no provision for adequate ventilation or adequate protection from excessive dust;

    • if the Product has been dismantled, repaired or serviced by any person other than someone authorized by Kleenmaid or its agents or representatives;

    • caused by power surges or spikes, including and not limited to, mains power and telecommunications connections, or to other unspecified sources, incorrect power current, voltage fluctuation, amperage fluctuation, rust or corrosion;

    • if the Product is dropped, the collision of the Product with another object, use for which the Product is not designed, damage to the Product caused by your own negligence, accidental or deliberate misuse of the Product by you, theft, abuse, vandalism, flood, fire, earthquake, electrical storms or any other act of God or any war related events; or

    • due to the introduction of abnormal heat loads to the Product;

    • costs of attendance and testing where no fault or defect covered by the terms of this Kleenmaid Warranty is identified in the Product;

    • initial setup and installation of the Product;

    • normal maintenance costs and costs incurred through the installation of items listed as requiring periodic replacement;

    • Products with removed or altered serial numbers;

    • broken or cracked glass other than transport damage to the initial point of delivery;

    • consumables such as but not limited to bulbs/globes, seals, filters, batteries, and remote controls;

    • removal and reinstallation of an internal component not performed by an authorized Kleenmaid agent or representative or authorized service center;

    • cosmetic or structural items; or

    • any failures due to interference from or with other products and/or sources.

  7. This Kleenmaid Warranty ceases if: –

    • the Product ceases to carry the original manufacturer’s serial number or is sold at an auction;
    • the Product is rented; or
    • there is a failure to pay monies owing on invoices as a result of non-warranty work being carried out at the request of the end user as per point 16 below.
  8. Neither Kleenmaid nor its representatives provide loan equipment under the terms of this Kleenmaid Warranty.

  9. Any unauthorized access to the internal hardware of the Product will void this Kleenmaid Warranty.

  10. Repair Notice: Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished products of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the Products.

  11. Replacement items are “like for like” and is not “new for old” and do not indicate in any way that a faulty Product will be replaced with a new part or unit. “Like for like” may either be a quality checked, refurbished or reconditioned unit of the same or later batch of model/size/specifications

  12. The cost of making a claim under this Kleenmaid Warranty is not covered by Kleenmaid, including any costs of transportation or travel expenses between your home and your nearest authorized service agent.

  13. Kleenmaid accepts no liability for items that are lost, damaged, or stolen as a result of freight, transport or storage. If you are required to transport the Product to an authorized service center, you must ensure that it is securely packed and insured.

  14. On Public Holidays or other periods when regular business and wholesale operations are temporarily ceased, repairer availability and warranty response times may extend beyond the standard response times due to the unavailability of repairers and parts.

  15. For any repair performed on a Product under this Kleenmaid Warranty where no fault can be found, or the item is deemed by Kleenmaid or an authorized agent, to be not faulty under this Kleenmaid Warranty, or the repair or fault is not covered under this Kleenmaid Warranty, a ‘No Fault Found’ fee is payable by you. Kleenmaid will advise you of this cost and seek your agreement to pay such costs before commencing such repairs.

  16. Any repairs or services required that are outside the terms and conditions of this Kleenmaid Warranty can be carried out at your request at your cost (including where the Product has not been installed or set up correctly). Kleenmaid will always advise you of this cost and seek your agreement to pay such costs before commencing such repairs. A credit card may be required prior to the commencement of such services.

  17. Extra charges will be payable by the customer should the Product not be readily accessible without special equipment, such as but not limited to cranes and lifts or should the Product be installed in a position where service access is blocked and/or repair work is not possible without uninstalling the Product to gain access.
    18. You, the customer, may be entitled to purchase an extended warranty in respect of the Product. Any extended warranty will not be issued by Kleenmaid but by a third party. Any extended warranty services will be provided directly by the third party as principal and not as an agent for Kleenmaid, under their extended warranty terms and conditions and not under this Kleenmaid Warranty.

  18. To make a claim under this Kleenmaid Warranty, please have your proof of purchase and the serial number of the Product ready and call (02) 9310 1207 during business hours.

  19. This Kleenmaid Warranty is given by:

  20. Definitions:

    • Australian Consumer Law means the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
    • Domestic Use means the use of the Product for personal, domestic, or household purposes.
    • Kleenmaid means Compass Capital Services Pty Ltd ABN 96 138 214 525 trading as Kleenmaid.
    • Mainland Australia means the following States and Territories of Australia: New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory, and Australian Capital Territory.
    • Product means the appliance sold by Kleenmaid to you as evidenced by the original purchase invoice.
    • Warranty Period means the period of 60 months for domestic use, 12 months for non-domestic use, or such alternative period as may be specified.
