During the initial empty cycle (see p11) check for water leakage from the
drain outlet/drain hose and tighten the hose clamp if necessary.

OPERATION
Preparation before washing
**** Caution!
Before washing please ensure the machine 1s installed correctly. Before
washing a load of clothes for the first time, operate the empty washing
machine for one whole cycle. Check for water leakage from the drain
outlet/drain hose and tighten the hose clamp 1f necessary.
Washing
Note!
-
If the default 1s selected, steps 2, 3 and 4 can be skipped.
-
See Using Detergent and Washing Powder on page 13.
After washing
A buzzer will sound after the washing cycle 1s finished and the machine will
power down automatically. The laundry may then be unloaded. It 1s normal for
small mounts of water to remain 1n the detergent dispenser at the end of a
washing cycle. This does not harm or affect the functioning of the machine. It
1s recommended that the lid of the machine be left open after use to assist in
evaporation of any residual water and to avoid mould forming on seals, however
any water remaining 1n the dispenser will not harm the machine. When you have
finished using your washer:
- Turn off the taps to prevent the chance of flooding should a hose burst.
- Turn off the power at the wall.
Preparing the machine and clothes
- The working condition of the washer should be(0-40) C. If used under OC the inlet valve and draining system may be damaged. If the machine 1s placed under conditions of 0’C or less, then it should be transferred to normal ambient temperature to ensure the water supply hose and drain hose are not frozen before use.
- Please check the clothing care labels and the directions for detergent use before washing.
Use non-foaming or low-foaming detergent suitable for top load washing machines.
Place small items into a protective washing bag| Turn fabric which pills or
has long pile inside out| Separate clothes with different textures, types and
colours eg
separate whites from colours; separate permanent press clothing; and don’t
wash together clothes of substantially different size, weight or texture, such
as sheets, shirts and
jeans, in the same load.
---|---|---
Loading the washing machine
- Prepare and sort the clothes as indicated above.
- Do not tip or pile all the clothes or linens in the center of the washing machine. Add articles loosely and evenly distribute the clothes around the perimeter of the tub so they don’t cover the impeller. This will help balance the load, allow the clothes to move around evenly and give you the best cleaning results.
- The washing machine should not be overloaded. If you need to push down on the load to add more items, divide the items into one or more additional loads
Tangled or twisted clothes may result when wash loads are improperly sorted or loaded. To help prevent clothing from knotting and twisting:
• Avoid mixing heavy items with light items.
• Avoid putting too many or too few items in the washer.
• Add items loosely around the edge of the drum. Don’t cover the impeller with clothing.
• Make sure you set the proper water level for the size load you are doing. The maximum load capacity depends on the type of laundry, the degree of soiling and the washing program desired.
• Ensure your wash water is not too hot for the fabric.
Warning!
- Washing only a single item may cause the machine to become unbalanced during the cycle. It 1s recommended that a few other items be included 1n the load so the machine functions smoothly.
- Don’t use the machine to wash clothes spotted or saturated with kerosene, petrol, alcohol or other flammable materials. These materials and pre-treatment sprays or liquids can also cause damage to the control panel, paintwork and components of your washer.
Using Detergent, Washing Powder & Additives
- Liquid detergent should be placed into the blue insert marked Detergent. Dilute washing powder or powdered additives with a little warm water before adding to the detergent dispenser to prevent the inlet of the dispenser becoming blocked and overflowing while the machine 1s filling with water. If you choose to use undiluted washing powder please remove the blue insert and add the powder directly to the section marked Powder. Clean the dispenser drawer regularly. See Cleaning the dispenser drawer p18.
- Please choose a low foaming or non-foaming detergent suitable for top load machines, and for the selected washing temperature, to optimize washing performance with less water and energy consumption. If you normally wash with cold water, it’s recommended that a ‘Warm’ or ‘Hot’ wash be used at regular intervals.
- If used, add bleach to the bleach dispenser prior to starting the wash cycle. Use a small amount of bleach and dilute with twice the volume of water. Rinse clothes well to avoid skin irritation.
- Do not pour bleach onto clothes. Read and carefully follow the directions and warnings regarding the use of bleach on the product. It 1s recommended that bleach only be used for washing white fabrics. Do not mix bleach and detergent. DO NOT use your washer to soak items in bleach or sanitiser, The chemicals in these products are corrosive and may damage your washer. Clean the dispenser drawer regularly. See Cleaning the dispenser drawer p18.
- If using softener add it to the softener dispenser before washing. Read the manufacturer’s instructions on the package carefully, follow the dosage values and use sparingly. Use only softeners manufactured specifically for top loader washing machines. When filling the dispenser, do not splash or overfill. Avoid spilling undiluted softener onto the clothes in the wash tub as it may damage them. If the softener has lost its “fluidity”, dilute it with water before pouring it into the softener dispenser. Waxy build-up can occur within a washer when the fabric softener comes into contact with detergent. Cold water washing increases the chance of a build-up occurring so a ‘Warm’ or ‘Hot’ wash at regular intervals is recommended. Clean the dispenser drawer regularly. See Cleaning the dispenser drawer p18.
