BEFORE FIRST USE

Carry on a few brewing cycles without any coffee to remove any production residues and preheat the new elements.

OPERATION

  1.  Locate the appliance:
    • out of the reach of children,
    • away from water and heat sources,
    • on a stable and flat surface,
    • in a place with sufficient air circulation,
    • near the power mains socket.

  2.  Open the lid and fill the water tank with cold drinking water.
The markings on the water tank indicate the number of cups of coffee that will be brewed. Add as much water as many cups of coffee you would like to prepare. Do not exceed the MAX marking and do not pour in less than the level marked with a digit 4.

  3.  Make sure the filter holder is installed correctly inside the brewing chamber.

  4. Insert the filter inside the filter holder.

  5. Pour desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. Usual dosage: one level spoon of ground coffee per cup.

  6. Close the lid until it locks in place (you will hear a click).

  7.  Place the glass carafe with the lid closed on the warming plate.

  8. Plug the power cord to the power supply socket.

  9. Press the Power button to turn on the appliance. Brewing process starts.
This drip filter coffee machine has an anti-drip function. It allows you to serve the beverage before the drip process ends. After removing the carafe from the warming plate, valve closes and dripping process stops for 30 seconds. Replace the carafe back on the warming plate within that time. Otherwise, the filter will overflow with hot water.

  10. Once the brewing process is completed, wait about 1 minute for the drip process to complete fully. Now the coffee can be served. The amount of brewed coffee is slightly less than the amount of water poured into the water tank as some water is absorbed by the coffee.

  11. If you would like to serve coffee later, leave the carafe on the warming plate and do not turn off the appliance. The warming plate will keep the coffee in the carafe at the optimal serving temperature for 40 minutes. Afterwards it will automatically turn off.

  12. Once the carafe is emptied, place it back on the warming plate and turn off the appliance by pressing the Power button.

  13. Open the lid and take out the filter, dispose of the ground coffee and clean the filter as described in the section “Cleaning”.

  14.  Water may drop from the funnel and accumulate on the warming plate. Clean it with soft, slightly damp cloth after each use.

  15.  Clean the appliance as described in the section “Cleaning”.

COFFEE-MAKING TIPS

  1. Keep the coffee maker clean as this guarantees great- tasting coffee. Clean the appliance regularly as described in the Cleaning section.
  2.  Always use fresh cold water.
  3.  Store ground coffee in a cool, dry place. Once a package of ground coffee has been opened, close it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its aroma.
  4.  For an optimum coffee taste, it is recommended to use coffee beans and grind them finely just before brewing.
  5.  Do not reuse used ground coffee as it will reduce coffee flavor significantly.
  6.  Reheating coffee is not recommended as it will reduce coffee flavor significantly.

It is recommended to descale the appliance using a solution of two tablespoons (30 ml) of white vinegar and 1,2 l of cold water.
