Unpack Padlock
Your package contains the padlock, usb cable and quick start guide
Wake up the Padlock
The padlock is in the sleep mode as default after 5 minutes; therefore, to
wake up the padlock, simply remove the latch at the bottom, press the button
or charge with USB cable. (Charger not included)

Activate your padlock
Download mobile APP
Download our App from Google Play or Apple App Store, search for Brilliant
Guard, or scan the QR as follow, you should see following icon and you can
install the app on your smartphone. (NOTE: If you have installed and setup for
any BG lock product previously, you can skip this
step)
Download and launch the Brilliant Guard app on your mobile device and create
an account. We recommended to sign in with Google or Apple for quicker
accessing.
Or create by email and password, ensure you can access your email to verify and complete the registration.
Register padlock
- Obtain the unique padlock QR code from the last page of Quick Start Guide (provided with the package). – Diagram 1
- Click Product -> E-lock -> Select the mode and Add device (Plus “+” sign)
- Place the QR code with the built-in scanner – Diagram 2
- Once the padlock was successfully connected and registered, it will automatically return to the Home screen . Diagram 3
Home Screen
Home screen provides overview of device listing, user can click the right top button to sort and view the devices based on whether its Creation time, Location time, Device Name or Online status Device Icon provides information such as device name, location, connection status, battery level indication, and signal strength. When the device is nearby and ready to connect Bluetooth, lock, battery and signal icons are display in blue.
- Lock Icon: Symbol indicate the lock and unlock status
- Battery Icon: Five bars indicate the battery is fully charged.
- Signal Icon: Indicate the signal strength between your mobile and the lock
Operation
The following are the icons display on lock page screen.
Device Setting
The device setting provides device information, some could changeable, and
others are ready-only. User can rename device name, also change advertisement
management which control sleep time of the device, set from 5mins and above
till forever not to sleep. Please note the longer time stay awake may reduce
the battery efficiency.
Share to Friend
Share to Friend function provides additional lock access to other people
invited by owner, who is based upon the Email address and send the invitation
email to his/her friend. Once his/her friend accepts the invitation and
proceeds to download the mobile APP by using his/her email, the lock will
display on his “Share By” menu after the APP
installation.
Smart key List
The smart key list is giving owner a full picture of how many smart key can
access to open this lock. The owner has full control to manually delete any
smart key access to his/her own lock
Friend List
Friend List provides the list of users capable to open the lock via their
BG Connect mobile APP. These users are invited by owner for granting the
access. The owner has full control to manually delete the lock access of any
one of them in the friend list.
Device Log
The device log provides access records that whether unlock by mobile APP or
Smart Key with details information such as whom, when and type
status.

Q: Why smart key cannot open the smart lock?
A: Due to the Bluetooth protocol one to one connection restriction, smart
lock might continue connecting with previous device such as mobile App, Need
to make sure mobile App is closed after the usage, you can simply click the
back arrow to main dashboard page, if the connection is terminated, a message
below will be shown.
Q: How long the padlock battery last?
A: The full charge battery can last up to 6 months with minimum of usage
twice a day, also depend on advertisement management setting if longer wake up
time that also impact of the battery consumption.
Q: How to check padlock battery status?
A: View battery icon on device home page, or connect to mobile APP, the
battery level of device shows on lock page screen.
Q: How to view the event logs?
A: The device access record stores inside of each individual smart lock,
which can be retrieve the event logs under the lock page menu.
