SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To reduce injuries or damages, follow basic safety precautions applied when using any electrical device, including the following:

  1. Read the entire instruction manual before you start installation and assembly and keep it for future reference. Keep the manual for future reference.
  2. Before connecting the device to the power supply socket, make sure the voltage indicated on the device corresponds to the voltage in the power supply socket.
  3. This appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility. The device must be connected directly to the power outlet.
  4. The device is for indoor use only.
  5. Place the device on a flat and stable surface.
  6. Position the device in a properly ventilated place.
  7. Do not place the device on fragile or soft surfaces.
  8. Do not move the appliance while it is operating.
  9. The danger of burns! During operation, the temperature of accessible surfaces can be very high. Therefore use only handles or knobs to operate the appliance.
  10. Clean this device by the instructions listed in the Cleaning section.
  11. ALWAYS turn off the device and disconnect it from the mains supply:
    • if it’s not operating correctly
    • if there’s an uncommon voice when using
    • before disassembling the device
    • before cleaning
    • when not in use
  12. When you disconnect the power cord of the device, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord/cable.
  13. Keep the device out of the reach of children. Do not leave children unsupervised with the product.
  14. This appliance may be used by children who are above 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised and guided by a person who is responsible for their safety in a cautious manner for all the safety precautions being understood and followed. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children should not perform cleaning and servicing of the device unsupervised.
  15. Fixed power cables may only be replaced at an authorized service point.

  17. Do not place the appliance in water or any liquid, nor handle/use it with wet or moist hands.

  19. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it’s working.
  20. The producer of this product is not responsible for damages caused by inappropriate handling and using of the device.
  21. DO NOT use this device if the cord or the plug is damaged, or the appliance is broken.
  22. Do not attempt to repair this device yourself. Only authorized and qualified personnel may repair this device. The device has no user-serviceable parts inside.
  23. Use only authorized accessories.
  24. Make sure the power cord does not touch any hot or sharp elements.
  25. This device is suitable exclusively for food preparation. Do not place inside the device anything that is not food.
  26. To avoid the risk of electric shock, the device is equipped with a grounded plug. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
    Do not modify the plug or use any adaptors.

OPERATION

  1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.

  2. Plug the power cable to the power socket. The red power light is on.

  3. Set the temperature control knob to the desired position. The green ready light is on. The appliance starts heating.

  4. Wait until the ready light goes off- it means that the appliance has reached the set temperature and is now ready to be used.
    Notes:

    • It is normal for the ready light to go on and off- the thermostat operates to maintain the temperature.
    • Exercise caution since the baking plate is very hot. Do not touch the baking plate! Burning hazard!
  5. Moisten the spreader with water to prevent sticking.

  6. If needed, apply a thin layer of oil on the baking plate with a brush. It is not necessary though.

  7. Pour a small amount of batter into the centre of the baking plate.

  8. Spread it with circular movements of the spreader.

  9. Wait until the surface is no longer liquid and the crepe can be moved slightly.

  10. Use a provided spatula, insert it under the crepe and turn it over.
    Note: Do not use any metal utensils as they can damage the non-stick coating of the baking plate.

  11. When the crepe is ready, take it away from the baking plate.

  12. After finishing baking, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or put it in a dishwasher.
  • Clean the appliance after every use.
  • Wipe the baking plate and the housing with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Hand wash the spreader and spatula under running water.
  • Do not use any abrasives or chemical agents to clean this product.
  • Store this appliance in a dry, cool place, out of the reach of children.
