HOW TO TEST IF SCALE IS ACCURATE
Note the weight of a coin after placing it on the scale. Put one more nickel on the scale, then record the updated weight. One additional nickel can be added to the scale; record the weight. The weight should have increased by 5g each time, if your scale is accurate.
HOW TO FIX SCALE NOT WORKING
When the new batteries are removed, check the terminals for corrosion caused by the old batteries. Reinstall the fresh batteries, lightly sand the contacts in the battery box, and then try turning the scale on once more.

Never put food directly on the plate! You can zero out a container for your food and then it will read just the amount of food weight you have. Place a container to hold the food on the scales. Press the “on/off/ TARE button. It will go to all zeros. Add your food to be weighed. This will be the exact food weight less the container.
I know it says batteries included, but what kind does it use for when I have to change them?****
This scale utilizes 3 AAA batteries.

This scale is accurate to the nearest gram. Therefore, our scales will be accurate within <1g for any item between 1 gram to 13,000 grams (13kg).

The backlight will stay on for 90 seconds after the last interaction, movement, or weighing of the scale. It will not turn off in the middle of measuring or any activity. In the case it does, it does not remember the last measurement.

Is it easy to re calibrate if you put a container on it first?****
Yet. It is VERY easy. Just a question of pressing a button. If you have a problem. Just weigh the container and add it to your measured amount. For example – if the container weighs 1 oz and you need an amount of 2oz of say sugar- weigh it with the sugar in it at 3 oz and you will have a perfect measured amount.

Does the Inevifit scale show the carbs in food?
I didn’t Think it can tell you the carbs as it doesn’t know whether it is weighing lettuce or bread. There is an app called Lose it that has a database for calories and usually shows carbs as well. This scale is the best one I have owned in 10 years of maintaining a 200 lb. weight loss.
Other than the color, what is the difference between this scale and the one in black that originated in Amazon a year earlier?
No difference rather than the color!
