The scale Auto-Off feature is programmed to stay keep the scale on for 90 seconds after the last interaction, movement or weighing of the scale. This feature cannot be deactivated since it is a battery saving precaution.
What is the lowest it will measure in grams?****
The smallest unit of measurement for this scale are grams, so it will show 1 gram in 1 gram increments.
Can this be plugged into wall?****
This model does not plug into the wall. It simply uses three AAA batteries.
Does it weight in 1 gram increments?****
The measurement increments for this scale are as following. OZ / ML / G / LB / LB & OZ. Which are selectable from the unit button on front of scale on a rotating selection every time the unit button is pushed, and will stay on that selection even if unite is turned off. There is no precise settings for 1 gram increments. It will show the weight of what ever is placed on the scale at the setting you have selected.
Will this help me weigh my jewelry? I have to take it to the Pawn and do not want to get ripped off at all.****
This will help you with weighing your jewelry only if you need whole grams. If you need tenths of a gram this will not help since the smallest unit of measurement is whole grams for this model.
What is the resolution of this scale? Will this reliably be able to measure out 0.035oz which is a gram? I will need as low as 0.04-0.075oz measures****
Yes, the lowest unit of measurement this scale provides is a gram. However, the ounces are displayed as 0.XX so one gram will appear as 0.04oz. To get the most accurate readings we suggest using the grams display when measuring.
Is the scale waterproof?****
Please note that the top of the scale is water-resistant, but it is not waterproof.It can withstand moist items or droplets on the platform, but it should be wiped down after use.
Is this a good scale for soap making?****
Our scale is accurate to the 1 gram measurement, so I imagine that it should work just fine. I personally have never made soap, but we guarantee its accuracy to the gram!
Does this unit beep or is there a silent mode?****
This scale is actually completely silent.
Can it handle hot items on the top surface? for example, i weigh everything when i brew my pour-over coffee. The hot carafe warps my current scale.****
Our kitchen scale has a stainless steel platform and can hold warm or hot items. As a precaution, we recommend putting hot items in a container before placing them on the kitchen scale and avoid leaving them on the scale for very long.
Will the tare function work with measuring/weighing liquor bottles for inventory?****
If you measure the weight of an empty bottle of the exact same brand of liquor and deduct that from the weight of you part full bottle. This scale will not do this as a tare weight in reverse. This is not a fluid ounce type scale that I know of.
What is the diameter of the metal weighing platform. Some say 5 inches, others say 6 inches?****
The total diameter of the metal platform is 6.25″, however, it has a small lip which makes the inner diameter 6″.
Does this scale have a Hold function for reading the weight of an item after it is removed from the weighing platform?****
This kitchen scale has a “Tare” function which will zero the scale when using bowls or other containers to weigh items. You can hit the tare button when the item is in your container which will zero the scale.
Do you sale the rubber feet separately? One fell off.****
