INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

BEfORE USE

  • Remove the insulation tab from the battery contacts before use.
  • Activate the scale and wait until it shows “0.0“. Choose a measuring unit (KG/ST/LB) with UP and DOWN buttons.
  • Place the scales on a form, flat, and even surface to ensure accuracy.

You can use this scale only for weight measuring
This is a basic mode without body fat measuring.

  1. Gently step on the scale, then the scale will be automatically turned on. Stand evenly on the scale without moving and wait until your weight shown on display is stable and locked. When you step off the scales it will automatically switch off after 8 seconds.
  2. If no weighing is carried out while 0.0 is displayed the scales will automatically switch off after 8 seconds.

BODy fAT MEASUREMENT

  1. About Body Fat Percentage, Body fat percentage indicates body fat proportion in the body, which is a criterion to judge whether one is overweight or not.
  2. Testing Principle Impedance of fat is higher than any other body tissue such as muscle when the electrical signal of a certain frequency goes through the body (BIA principle). Based on this principle, body fat percentage can be tested by sending an electrical signal through the body.

BMI

The technology used in these scales, Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) is more technologically advanced than the order Body Mass Index (BMI) method where fat % is calculated using only height and weight.BIA technology uses 5 parameters to get a more accurate resolution for the analysis (weight and biological resistance which are automatically measured by the scales together with the three personal parameters entered manually – sex, height, and age). This index sets the mutual ratio between body weight and height. It can be used to determine whether the person suffers from being underweight, overweight, or obese or whether his/her health condition is normal. Also with regards to heart and vascular diseases, body mass index is a relatively good risk index, particularly in healthy people. However, the index is for reference only. Experts recommend supplementing the calculation by at least measuring the waist, which makes determining the disposition of the body fat more precise. BMI will not provide very reliable information for small children, elderly people and active sportsmen who have a lot of muscle mass as their results can be biased.

Optimum energy consumption CAL

It represents the optimum amount of energy consumption necessary for maintaining the basic vital functions and balanced metabolism. The data on the display shows the optimum daily consumption of energy that you give out at your weight, height, age, and gender. You should also take in this amount of energy to keep your metabolism balanced. If you intend to reduce your weight, your daily energy intake should be a bit lower. However, remember to keep carbohydrates, fats and proteins balanced in your diet.
239 cal = 1 kJ

Important: During body fat testing, please remove shoes and socks, etc., and clear your feet, in order to get the most accurate result. To ensure accuracy, please test at the same time of the day

Test results may be inaccurate when the users are:

  • afte r intense sports activity, overfeeding, or excessive dehydration,
  • children under 10, or adults over 80,
  • body building athletes, or other occupational athletes,
  • pregnant women; Dialysis or edema patients,
  • do not use the fat analysis feature on this scale if you are using one of the following devices: pacemaker, electrocardiograph, and/or other medical device implanted in the body or device used as support,
  • excessive drinking, eating, exercising, health conditions, used medicaments, women‘s menstruation cycle, etc. influence the results of the analysis.

In order to ensure accurate results users should enter the required personal parameters; age, sex, and height. These scales have the facility to store the personal parameters of 10 people.

  4. First, the weight is recorded, then „ o o o o “ is displayed, indicating that the scales are analyzing. Please do not alight.

  5. Once finished, the weight, body fat, body muscle, and bone weight will be displayed alternately 2 times before the scales automatically turn off.

  6. After this, the scale is going to turn off.

  7. If no weighing is carried out while 0.0 is displayed the scales will automatically switch off after 8 seconds.

Compare the body fat reading against the to confirm the body status.

  2. When the LCD screen displays „Err“, it indicates that the maximum weight is exceeded.
  3. When the LCD screen displays „Err 2“, it shows an error in the body fat percentage.

Fat percentage exceeds the maximum capacity of 50 %, fat percentage is under 3 %.

If signs appear, such as if the display is flashing or if there is a faulty sign, try to move the scale away from the influence of a source of interference or ensure switching off the source for the time of using the scale.
