Message Protection
It is possible to protect your recorded messages from accidental erasure.
Locate the small LOCK switch hidden inside the battery compartment and slide
it to the left position. This will disable the recording function. You will
still be able to play messages, but not record them.
Earphone Socket
A 3.5mm Phone Socket is included. This will allow you to connect Earphones for personal listening or you could connect the Album to an external Loud Speaker to increase the playback volume.
Power Save Mode
To save battery power, the Album will go into ‘Auto-Sleep’ mode if it is left unused for 15 minutes. To restart, switch the power OFF and then ON.
How to transfer sound files to and from a Computer
Your voice recordings for each page are stored on the internal memory.
(Memory Size 128MB). This feature allows you to save and transfer your
recordings to a Computer using the Micro USB Socket. Please read and follow
the steps carefully, and keep it for future reference.
- Ensure the Power Switch is in the OFF position.
- Locate the USB socket and use the USB cable supplied to connect the Album to a spare USB port on your Computer. The first time the Album is connected to a Computer, it may install the drivers and may also require the Computer to be rebooted depending on your operating system.
- The Computer will recognize the Album as a USB storage device and will appear named as a ‘Removable USB Drive’ within the file explorer window.
- Your voice recordings are saved as MP3 format files, (128kbps Mono). Each page recording is located inside a separate sub-folder. The recording for Page 1 will be saved as a file named REC00001.MP3 and located in a folder named Page01. The recording for Page 2 will also be saved as REC00001.MP3 and located in a folder named Page02 and so on up to Page20.
- You can drag and drop the folders or individual MP3 sound files from the Album onto the hard disc of your Computer.
- If you wish to pre-record the pages of your Album with sound files taken from your computer, simply download your sound files onto the internal memory by drag and drop method. For a file to play on a particular page you must locate the file inside the correct folder for each page. For a file to play on Page 1 you must save the file inside the folder named Page01. For a file to play on Page 2 you must save the file inside the folder named Page02 and so on. Each page will then play back your sound files correctly.
Important Notes
Before you transfer an MP3 file onto your album, you must rename the file to
REC00001.MP3. The file name must be the same for each file that is transferred
into each page folder. The album will not play files that have not been
renamed.
The Album will only play sound files that are saved in the MP3 file format.
WMA, WAV, MOV, and MP4 formats are not supported. You are limited to a maximum
of 130 minutes of recording, or a total of 128MB, spread across the 20 pages
in the Album. For example, the equivalent of 6.5 minutes of recording on each
page, or any combination for each page adds up to a total of 130 minutes.
We recommend AUDACITY software for editing and converting sound files.
