Battery Power

The Battery Holder requires 3 x l.SV AAA batteries, (not included). Alkaline batteries are recommended. Please note polarity. Slide the power switch to the OFF position. How to download your MP3 sound file

Connect the module to a spare USB port on a computer via the Micro-USB Socket, (USB cable not included). Once the module is recognized by the computer as a ‘Removable Disk’, you will be able to drag and drop MP3 files into the internal memory of the module. NOTES: Remove any unwanted files from the memory. You can load as many files as you wish, but the total size must not exceed 4MB. We recommend that your MP3 file is MONO, 128kbps, 44. lkHz, 16 Bit. Please also ensure that your file name does not include any symbols, such as – # ” > * + / etc. When you have finished downloading your sound files, disconnect the module from the computer by removing the USB cable.

How to playback

Slide the power switch to the ON position. Press the PLAY button once to hear your sound. If you have downloaded more than one sound file, every time you press the play button one sound will play.

Playback Notes

  • If you require your sound files to play in a specific order, you must rename the files to 01, 02, 03, etc, and then download the files onto the module, one by one, in that specific order.
  • Alternative playback methods can be applied, including a light sensor. Please visit our website or contact us for more details.

Troubleshooting

This module will only play sound files saved in MP3 format. The total size of your file(s) cannot exceed 4MS. Try editing to make your file size smaller. Methods could include, i) Reducing the playback time, ii) Changing the sound file from Stereo to Mono, or iii) Altering the sample rate. If you require assistance with editing, please contact us. MP3 files that have been created using iTunes are not compatible. Please use a ‘Data Transfer’ type USS cable to connect the module to your computer. Some USS cables can not transfer files. Special note for MAC users. When you delete unwanted sound files from the module please ensure that you also delete the files from your computer’s Recycle Bin. This will ensure the files have been completely removed from the memory.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please DO NOT re-format this module using a MAC computer. This will permanently damage the module and it can not be repaired. If you need to re- format your module please only use a Windows PC using FAT or FAT32.
