OPERATION

Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boil it. After the kettle switches off automatically, pour the water out, and repeat the process.

  1. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill, make sure the water level is between MAX and MIN markings. Close the top lid of the kettle (if the lid will not be closed, the kettle will not switch off automatically after boiling is finished).

  2. Place the kettle on the base.

  3. Connect the kettle to a 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz socket.

  4. Press the key shortly to turn the device on. The operation indicator will turn red and in the TSA1530 model illumination will be on. The display will show the current temperature of the water inside the kettle.
The water will be boiled. Once the water is boiled, the device will beep 3 times and automatically enter standby mode (the operation indicator will go off). After 1 minute of inactivity, the device will beep again and switch off (the display will be off).

  5. To use maintain constant temperature/heating to the desired temperature function, turn the kettle on with the button and then press the button. Next, press the button repeatedly to set desired heating temperature, the display will show the set temperature (50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90) and the keep warm indicator will be on. Once you stop adjusting the temperature, the numbers will flash 3 times, and then stop flashing which means the function has been activated. The kettle will heat the water inside up to the set temperature, and automatically enter standby mode after the temperature is reached. It will turn back on and heat up the water whenever the temperature drops down by around 5°C. The function can be active for up to 8 hours.

  6. Note: the kettle can be switched off manually at any time by pushing the power button. Do not remove the kettle from the base without switching it off first.

  7. Do not open the lid when pouring out the water. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected – RISK OF SCALDING!

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Always remove the plug from the main supply before cleaning the kettle.
Clean the unit’s exterior periodically with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never use chemical agents to clean this device. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powers. Do not immerse the kettle in water or other liquids.
After some time, depending on the nature of your water supply, a boiled scale deposit is naturally formed and can be found mostly adhered to the heating element, thus reducing the heating efficiency. The amount of boiled scale deposited largely depends on the water hardness in your area and the frequency with which the kettle is used. A boiled scale is not harmful to your health but gives a powdery taste to your drinks if water poured into them was boiled in the scaled kettle. The kettle should be descaled periodically as indicated below:

DESCALING

  1. Fill the kettle up to MAX with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.
Switch on and wait for the liquid to boil and the appliance to switch off automatically.

  2. Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.

  3. Discard the mixture the next morning.

  4. Fill the kettle with clean water up to MAX mark and boil again.

  5. Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.

  6. Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
