IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General
- Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for reference.
- Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions. There is a risk of injury due to improper use.
- This device can be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with physical or sensory or mental disabilities or with insufficient experience and knowledge if they are under constant supervision or instructed in the safe use of the device and they understand the possible dangers.
- Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the consumer should not be performed by children without supervision.
- Have any repairs been carried out solely by a qualified electrician? Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
Electricity and heat
- Before use please verify that the mains voltage is the same as indicated on the rating plate of the appliance.
- Make sure that you always use an earthed wall socket to connect the appliance.
- Always remove the plug from the main socket before moving the appliance and when the appliance is not in use.
- Remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling the plug, not the power cord.
- Check the appliance’s power cord regularly to make sure it is not damaged. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service, or similarly qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
- Certain parts of the appliance may get hot. The surface of the heating element remains hot after use. Do not touch these parts to prevent burning yourself.
- The appliance needs space to allow heat to escape, thereby preventing the risk of fire. Make sure that the appliance has sufficient space around it, and does not come in contact with flammable material. The appliance must not be covered.
- Make sure that the appliance, the power cord, or the plug does not make contact with hot services, such as a hot hob or naked flame.
- Make sure that the appliance, the power cord, and the plug do not make contact with water. Avoid leakage of liquid onto the electrical connector.c
During use

Never use the appliance outdoors.

Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.

Always remove the plug from the wall socket after use, and before cleaning the appliance.

Never allow the power cord to hang over the edge of the draining board, worktop, or table.

Make sure that your hands are dry before touching the appliance, power cord, or plug.

Never use the appliance in a humid room.

Never immerse the appliance, the plug, or the power cord in water or other liquid.
-
Do not pick up the appliance if it falls into the water.
Remove the plug from the wall socket immediately and do not use the appliance anymore. -
Use solely the base supplied with the jug kettle. Never use the base for other purposes.

Remove the jug from the base, and fill it with water from the tap. Never fill the jug above the ‘max’ level. If there is more than the maximum water level in the kettle, boiling water may spill out.

Do not switch on the appliance before you have filled it with water. Fill only with cold water.

The jug’s lid must remain securely closed whilst the appliance is in use. .

Never open the lid when the water is still boiling.
-
Use the appliance only to boil or heat water. Never use it for other liquids!

Fill the jug kettle with at least 0,5 liter of water.

Allow the appliance to cool to room temperature before storage.
-
This appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means of a separate remote control system.

The device is intended for use in a domestic and similar environment, including:
– in kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices, and other production environments;
– in farmhouses;
– clients in hotels, motels, and other residential infrastructure;
– in the conditions of a boarding house plus breakfast.

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

Before using it for the first time
Before first use, remove possible manufacturing process residues by boiling 3
full kettles of water. Dispose of this water.
Tip: You can use vinegar or special descaling agents for the first time.
Use

Turn the jug so that the spout faces away from you.

Pull up the lid handle (3).
-
Fill the jug with the required quantity of water (at least 0,5 liter and a maximum of 1,8 liters). Never fill the water boiler over the “Max”. Otherwise, the hot water can spatter out of the base.
ATTENTION! Make sure that you do not spill any water on the base. -
Pull up the lid handle to open the lid.

Place the jug on the base, and insert the plug in the wall socket. Push down the on/off switch. The on/off pilot light will illuminate.

The jug kettle is now switched on, and the water will now begin to heat. The jug kettle switches off automatically a few seconds after the water has come to a boil. The on/off pilot light will now extinguish.

Remove the jug from the base by the handle, and pour the water out.
ATTENTION! Be careful you do not contact the hot water. It can cause serious burning wounds. -
When you wish to heat the water without it coming to a boil you can switch off the jug kettle at any time you require.

Remove the plug from the wall socket when you have finished using the jug kettle.
Overheating safeguard
The jug kettle is fitted with an overheating safeguard. This will switch off
the jug kettle if it is operated without (sufficient) water.
Allow the jug kettle to cool down for at least 10 minutes before using it
again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the appliance to cool.

Clean the jug with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water. Never put the appliance in a dishwasher. Make sure that the electrical connections do not become damp.

If the interior of the jug has become severely discolored, then the best way to clean it is with a damp cloth and a little washing soda. After cleaning, rinse the jug very thoroughly.
ATTENTION! -
Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.

Before cleaning, make sure that the appliance is not connected to the power supply and that it has cooled down.
Descaling
This appliance is equipped with an integral heating element, and consequently,
limescale will not be formed. Consequently, you do not need to descale the
appliance.
However, if you nevertheless do wish to descale the appliance:
- Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the appliance to cool.
- The jug kettle is fitted with a descaling filter. This filter must be removed for cleaning.
- Fill the jug with a vinegar solution to the MAX level, and bring it to a boil.
- Leave the jug with the vinegar solution to stand for a couple of hours.
- Empty the jug, fill it with clean water to the MAX level, and bring it to a boil. Empty the jug. Repeat this process twice.
- Never use ammonia or other products to descale the appliance.
These can be injurious to your health. Use solely vinegar the solution, or special descaling agents available from retailers.

Warranty service is carried out only if there is a correctly and clearly filled original warranty card, which indicates: the product model, date of sale, serial number, warranty service period, and the seller’s seal. *

The service life of household appliances is 5 years.

The product is intended for consumer use. When using the product in commercial activities, the seller/manufacturer does not bear warranty obligations, after-sales service is performed on a paid basis.

Warranty repair is carried out within the period specified in the warranty card for the product in an authorized service center on the conditions and terms determined by applicable law.

The product is withdrawn from the warranty in case of violation by the consumer of the operating rules set forth in the instruction manual.

The product is removed from warranty service in the following cases:
• misuse and non-consumer use;
• mechanical damage;
• damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects, substances, liquids, and insects;
• damage caused by natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fire, domestic factors (excessive humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.)
• damage caused by non-compliance with power and cable network parameters with state standards and other similar factors;
• when operating equipment in the power supply network with a missing single ground loop;
• in case of violation of seals installed on the product;
• lack of a serial number of the device, or inability to identify it. -
The warranty does not cover consumables and accessories, as well as filters, shelves, drawers, stands, and other containers for storing products.

The warranty period is 12 months from the date of sale.
- Tear-off maintenance tickets are provided by an authorized service center.
