CONNECTING TO POWER

  1. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the power supply, and connect another end to an outlet.
  2. Connect the power supply to the AC power port on the docking station.

Connect one end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C upstream port on Logi Dock, and connect another end to the USB-C port on your computer.

LOGI TUNE APP

Download and install Logi Tune from www.logitech.com/tune for calendar integration with Google Calendar and Office 365, and one-touch meeting controls.

CALENDAR INTEGRATION

  1. Open Logi Tune app on your computer.
  2. Link your preferred calendar and authenticate with your calendar provider. Then follow the steps in the app.
  3. Your agenda will show up in the dashboard upon successful link.

ONE-TOUCH MEETING CONTROLS

  1. Link your calendar with Logi Tune.
  2. Make sure Tune is running in the background. You can see the app in the taskbar if Tune is active.
  3. One-touch-to-join will be activated by default.
  4. To deactivate, visit device settings in the Tune app.

CONNECTING USB DEVICES

  • Logi Dock has 5 USB ports: 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C ports on the back panel; 1 USB-C port on the side
  • Simply connect your external USB devices such as a keyboard and mice with the USB-A or C ports

Note: Please charge your iOS device via USB-A or C ports with charging port icon () only when the Logi Dock is disconnected from the laptop.

CONNECTING BLUETOOTH

  1. Press the Bluetooth® pairing button at the back panel for 3 seconds. The ambient light in front will blink blue.
  2. Open Bluetooth® settings on your mobile device.
  3. Select Logi Dock in discoverable devices.
  4. Once successfully paired, the ambient light will turn solid blue for 5 seconds with sonification.

CONNECTING A DISPLAYPORT DEVICE

To connect your DisplayPort video device (such as monitor, projector) to Logi Dock, insert the DisplayPort cable* to DisplayPort on the back panel.

  • DisplayPort cable is not included.

CONNECTING A HDMI DEVICE

To connect your HDMI video device (such as monitor, projector) to Logi Dock, insert the HDMI cable* to HDMI port on the back panel.

  • HDMI cable is not included.

USING A KENSINGTON LOCK

To secure Logi Dock with a Kensington lock:

  1. Wrap one end of the security cable around a secured object.
  2. Insert the key into the cable lock.
  3. Insert the cable lock into the Kensington security slot at the back panel. Turn and remove the key.
  • Kensington lock and keys are not included.

QUESTIONS

Does Logi Dock support dual Mac monitors with screen extension?

Logi Dock supports one display screen extension, or dual display for mirroring. Dual monitors for screen extension can only be supported with the following set-up.

For Mac with Intel Core Processor:
– Monitor 1 connected to Logi Dock through HDMI or DisplayPort
– Monitor 2 connected directly to Mac through USB C port

 For Mac with M1 Processor:
– Monitor 1 connected to Logi Dock through HDMI or DisplayPort
– Monitor 2 connected to Logi Dock through Logi accessory DisplayPort to USB

For Mac Mini M1:
– Monitor 1 connected to Logi Dock through HDMI or DisplayPort
– Monitor 2 connected to Logi Dock through Logi accessory DisplayPort to HDMI USB

If you connect two Mac monitors to DisplayPort and HDMI on Logi Dock, they will not be able to extend your monitors.

What is the maximum resolution that Logi Dock supports for monitors?

– 1 display: 4K (3840 x 2160) @60Hz
– 2 displays: 2 x 4K (3840 x 2160) @60Hz

For Ultrawide screen (21:9):
– 1 display: 5K WHUD (5120 x 2160) @30Hz
– 2 displays: 2 x 5K (5120 x 2160) @30Hz

Does Logi Dock support Type-C monitors?

Logi Dock supports monitors connected through HDMI or DisplayPort only. If you have a USB type C monitor, it is recommended that you use an adapter USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort.

Does Logi Dock support Thunderbolt connection?

Logi Dock does not support Thunderbolt over its USB ports. By connecting Logi Dock to a Thunderbolt port on a PC or Mac via the supplied USB-C cable*, users are able to use the USB Alt Mode features.

  • Please plug the supplied cable into the USB-C upstream port (with a purple ring).

What is USB Alt Mode?

USB Alt Mode is a functional extension of USB-C which enables the USB connection to carry non-USB signals. Alt Mode(s) are optional capabilities that are unique to the USB-C connector or port that allow technologies, like DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3, to be transmitted. This is supported by the Logi Dock’s supplied cable for connection to a PCs ‘USB C Thunderbolt port*.

  • Please plug the supplied cable into the USB-C upstream port (with a purple ring).

Which USB ports are able to charge devices and at what capacity?
Computer does not charge at full capacity

Which USB ports are able to charge devices?
All the ports are charging at 5W with the below exception
When no hosts are connected AND you are charging an iPhone the 5W will NOT charge your iPhone.
The 5W USB-C port (item 1) will not be charging an iPhone 12
The 7.5W ports will be charging at 7.5W no matter if the host is connected or not

Computer does not charge at full capacity
We are aware of some models of laptop that only allow 60-65W of power should an external Docking be used. You might see a warning on your laptop in that situation

Warning coming daily to use Dell charger
“To speed up charging, use the charger that came with your device” warning is coming up with my laptop. Logi Dock charges your computer up to 100W. If your laptop power supply has the capacity of providing more than 100W, this warning may appear.

Logi Dock and Peripherals

What products are supported with direct connection Bluetooth?
At the time of launch, products supported to connect directly to Logi Dock are Zone Wireless and Zone True Wireless.
You cannot have a phone and wireless headsets paired at the same time to Logi Dock. Wireless headsets will need to be connected directly to a mobile phone in this case.

Devices connected to Logi Dock are not recognized by computer
If your USB peripheral is not recognized by Logi Dock, please perform the following steps:
Plug and unplug the peripherals and check Device Settings on your computer to confirm recognition
Plug and unplug Logi Dock
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please use the “Contact Us” button on the left-hand menu to connect with a ProSupport agent
Can I pair other vendor headsets to Logi Dock via Bluetooth?
Only Logitech certified headsets can connect to Logi Dock via Bluetooth. At the time of launch, products supported to connect directly to Logi Dock are Zone Wireless and Zone True Wireless.

Best location for peripheral dongles on Logi Dock
Peripheral dongles should be placed in a port with as much of a clear line of sight to the device as possible.

Capabilities using a USB-C to USB-A adapter on computers without a USB type C port
A USB-C to USB-A adapter will:
Allow speakerphone functionality
Act as a USB hub
Allow transmission of USB data
A USB-C to USB-A adapter will not:
Provide charging functionality
Provide external display support

Acceptable distance between Logi Dock and connected peripherals
The recommended setup is to be 1 meter (3.3 feet) or less from Logi Dock

Connecting a computer and mobile phone to Logi Dock simultaneously
Music playing through one device, but not the other will cause both audio signals to play through Logi Dock simultaneously
Answering an incoming call during a video call will cause the audio stream to come from the new call
