Functions
1. Input Equalizer control: 2-band equalizer that adjusts high and low
frequencies.
High: 12kHz ±15dB
Bass: 80Hz ±15dB
2. DSP/FX control: controls the amount of signal sent to the built in DSP
effects and the EXTERNAL FX LOOP SEND.
3. Level control: controls the volume and adjusts the output level per
channel.
4. Microphone/Low impedance XLR input: connect balanced low impedance
microphones with an input impedance of 1K ohms. PIN 1 = shield, PIN 2 =
positive (hot), PIN 3 = negative (cold)
WARNING: When using condenser microphones, make sure that Phantom power
(15V) is switched on (see item 19).
5. Line/High impedance 1/4- balanced (TRS) inputs: This input may be used as
either a high-impedance microphone input or for line-level devices such as a
cassette player, CD player, video projector or laptop. Will also allow
connection from an electric guitar, bass or keyboard. It is a two-conductor
input with an impedance of 10K ohms.
6. Pad Button: Attenuates the input signal by -20dB. Should be used if the
incoming input signal is too hot.
7. PROGRAM: this control allows you to select any one of the 24 preprogrammed
digital effects. These effects are designed to be added to dry signals. Rotate
to scroll through the effects, push to confirm your selection.
8. DSP TO MAIN: controls the level/amount of the overall effect being sent
from ch 1-5 together that gets blended on the main channel signal.
9. PARAMETER: controls the effectiveness of the digital effects monitoring
channel.
10. USB/BT DIGITAL CONTROLLER:
Play button: Press during playback to pause, press button again to resume
play.
Stop (USB only): Stop playback
Previous button (USB and BT): Press to go to the previous track. Press
and hold to raise the module’s volume.
Next button (USB and BT): Press to go to the next track. Press and hold
to lower the module’s volume.
11. MODE: Push to switch between modes (USB/Bluetooth)
12. USB input. Please note: The RPM47 will not recognize USB drives formatted
in the NTFS format; only FAT or FAT32 format.
13. USB/BT DIGITAL CONTROLLER level control
14. PC INTERFACE USB port: Use this type B USB port to send audio data
between the mixer and a computer or tablet device.
15. PHONES Control: Headphone output level control.
16. PHONES: Connect headphones to this 1/4- TRS output to monitor the master
signal.
17. MASTER: Master volume control
18. Output Level Indicator: This peak level meter is made up of 5 LEDs with 3
colors to indicate the different ranges of signal level. You want your average
level to be at 0dB for optimal output and sound clarity.
19. Phantom Power ON/OFF button (red LED indicates power on): When activated,
phantom power provides 15 volts DC to power condenser mics. Please note: Do
not plug or unplug devices and mics while phantom power is on. It can cause
severe damage to the mic. When phantom power is turned off, it is recommended
you wait approximately 7 seconds so as to allow time for the voltage to
completely dissipate.
20. FX LOOP RETURN control: This knob will allow you to adjust the incoming
signal from the EXTERNAL FX LOOP RETURN 1/4- jack on the back of the unit. If
you are using external gear, this will allow the adjustment of the signal
being returned to blend in with you main mix.
21. AUX INPUT LEVEL control
22. 7-Band equalizer: Adjusts frequencies ±12dB.
23. 32-Bit Dual Engine DSP display: shows the current digital effect.
24. Power switch
25. IEC AC Power socket
26. User serviceable fuse
27. Speaker outputs: 1/4-TS jacks accept 8 ohm speakers. WARNING: Do not
operate below rated minimum impedance.
28. EXTERNAL FX LOOP RETURN/SEND: These 2-conductor’/4-line inputs allow you
to connect a processor like a Gate or compressor or other signal processor to
the main mix. You can send the signal from the SEND jack out to the input of
the processor device and then send that signal from the output of the
processor device back to the mixer via the RETURN jack. You can control the
amount of signal sent per channel by the channel’s individual DSP/FX knob. For
the returns, you can adjust the incoming level with the FX LOOP RTRN knob.
29. REC OUTPUT: These stereo unbalanced RCA outputs allow you to record the
main stereo mix onto a hard disk recorder or CD burner. The rec output is the
stereo main mix, and it is not affected by the main mix fader. This output can
also be used as an extra set of main outputs for feeding another zone.
30. AUX INPUT: These stereo unbalanced RCA inputs allow you to connect a CD
player, MP3 player, or other line-level source.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM | SOLUTION |
---|---|
No power | 1. Make sure the unit is plugged in and the power switch is in the |
ON position.
2. Check that the power cable is plugged in tightly to the unit.
3. Check and replace the fuse if necessary. See fuse replacement diagram on
the next page.
No sound| 1. Check that all appropriate cables are plugged in correctly.
2. Check the Master Volume settings.
3. Check the individual level control of each channel as well as the MP3
volume control and phantom power controls.
4. Be sure your microphone(s) is on.
Noise/Buzzing sound| 1. Turn down the channel levels one by one. If you don’t
hear the sound then the problem is either with the channel or whatever device
is plugged into it.
2. Unplug the device(s), to see if the sound disappears.
3. Make sure you are using the proper cables. For 1/4″” cables, there are 3
types: instrument, TS (unbalanced), and TRS (balanced). Check the requirements
of the connected gear and make sure you are using the appropriate cable. For
speaker outputs, use unshielded cables.
Bluetooth pairing fails/no sound| 1. Check to see that both devices are
turned on and that your Bluetooth device is discoverable.
2. Turn both devices off and then on again.
3. Make sure you’ve selected the proper source on the RPM47.
4. Make sure that the Bluetooth device is within 5 feet of the unit when
pairing.
5. Move both devices away from other Bluetooth devices, microwaves, wireless
routers, and other electronics.
6. Make sure that the unit is not connected to a previously paired device.
7. Make sure that all volume controls are set properly: USB/BT level control,
the Master volume control, and the paired device’s volume controls.
No USB playback| 1. Make sure your USB flash drive is not damaged.
2. Check that the files on the media device are not corrupt.
3. Make sure that the files are properly formatted (WAV, MP3, WMA).
4. Make sure it isn’t paused or stopped.
Fuse Replacement
