About the Product
This manual describes the Ecostrad Artis iQ Electric Panel Heater and details how to install and use the product. It is important to thoroughly review this manual before using the product. For technical advice or help concerning the Ecostrad Artis iQ Electric Panel Heater, contact the retail establishment or distributor from which the product was purchased.
Heat Performance
The Ecostrad Artis iQ is designed to heat by passing air over an aluminum
heating element in a process called convection. This highly responsive method
of heat transfer will begin warming the air within minutes, ensuring a room is
never cold for long. This type of heat is brilliant for supplementary warmth,
hard-to-heat areas, or rooms not in frequent use. In rooms with high ceilings,
this heater may take slightly longer to warm the room, as the hot air may
collect first in the high points of the room. For best results, always ensure
precautions are taken to avoid heat loss, such as closing doors and blocking
draughts.

Installation
Components
Before beginning installation, check that all fixings in Table 1 are supplied.
The heater should only be mounted with the manufacturer’s fixings.
Fixings and Components
Tools required for wall mounting (not provided)
Fixings and Components
Wall mounting
Note – The fixings supplied are designed for installation onto solid walls. Alternative fixings may be required if installed onto plasterboard or other non-standard wall types. It is the responsibility of the installer to evaluate the fitting location and determine if alternative fixings are required.
- Decide the fitting location. The fixings supplied are suitable for use in solid masonry. For any other wall type, you will need to source appropriate fixings. If fitting to a plasterboard wall, either fit directly to the wooden struts or otherwise strengthen the wall; do not fix through the plasterboard alone. Keep in mind the below minimum distances. The heater must be installed at least:
- 50cm from the top of the heater to the shelves or ceiling.
- 15cm from the base of the heater to the ground.
- 1m from flammable materials and objects, e.g. curtains.
- Insert a screwdriver into the slot at the top of the H-bracket and lever outwards to disconnect the H-bracket safety tab from the heater body. Push down to remove the H-bracket from the heater.
- Hold the paper template up to the wall in the position decided in Step 1 and mark the drilling locations with a pencil.
- Drill the 4 screw holes in the marked positions and insert the wall plugs.
- Line up the holes with the H-bracket and attach the H-bracket to the wall with the wall screws.
- Carefully lift the heater and click the H-bracket into the back panel of the heater.
- Push the heater downwards to ensure a secure fit. Ensure the safety tab is firmly locked in place.
Mounting on feet
The Artis iQ does not come with feet, but they can be purchased separately
if a free-standing option is required. To mount the heater on the feet:
- Carefully turn the product upside down. It is recommended to rest the heater on a soft, cushioned surface to do this, so as not to damage the glass.
- Line up the feet with the screw holes and click into place.
- Attach the feet to the heater body using the feet screws and a screwdriver.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The heater should be cleaned regularly to ensure fault-free operation. The most common cause of overheating is the build-up of dust or fluff within the heater. Prevent this from happening by regularly unplugging the heater and dusting the vents and grille. Always disconnect the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the grilles. Clean the outside of the unit with a damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners as these will damage the finish over time. Never immerse the unit in water or let water drip into the unit. Risk of electric shock. If the heater is going to be out of use for long periods, for example over summer, the best way to keep it clean and extend its lifespan is to put it into storage. Disconnect the appliance and allow it to cool completely before packing it in its original packaging and storing it in a dry and ventilated place. Do not place heavy items on top of the box during storage as this may damage the appliance.
