LCD Display & LCD Map:

The LCD display shows different icons and information. The LCD map provides a description of each icon displayed.

Key Pad Functions:

Talk H.F SET/OK HANG UP /POWER OFF

In standby mode press once to take the handset into off hook mode. In standby mode press once to take the handset to hand free mode. Entry to the menu functions from idle mode; Confirming selections & actions. In talk mode, press once to hang up the call; In standby mode, hold for 3 seconds to power down the handset.

This key is used to enter the phonebook both in standby mode Phonebook/BACK and in talk mode.

UP DOWN

INSTALLATION

Base

  1. Plug the main power lead and the telephone line cord into the bottom of the base unit.

  2. Plug the main adapter into mains socket with the switch on the socket set to off.

  3. Switch on main power at the socket.

  4. Connect the base unit to telephone wall socket by a telephone line. Handset

  5. Plug the main power lead into the bottom of the base unit.

  6. Plug the main adapter into mains socket with the switch on the socket set to off.

  7. Switch on main power at the socket.

  8. Fit the batteries in the handset. 3

Menu Settings Base Menu Setting During idle state, press MENU key to enter the menu setting, there are five sub-menus under the base

menu item. PHONE BOOK. CALL LOG. SETTINGS. REGISTRATION. Press/CID or /OUT key to select the above items and press MENU key to enter. Press PHONEBOOK to back to the previous menu. Details of each item are shown in next parts:

BASE Menu function

1: PHONE BOOK Each individual BASE has its own phonebook, there are 50 phone book memories that can be viewed and dialed out, each name a maximum of 12 characters, each number a maximum of 20 digits and a melody selected between 1 and 10. Press MENU key to enter and press /CID or /OUT key to select PHONE BOOK. Then press MENU key to confirm and enter.
LIST The function allows the user to review the phone book record lists by pressing /CID or /OUT key and user can also make a call form phonebook. NEW ENTRY This function allows the user to add an entry to the phone book.

  1. Press /CID or /OUT key to select NEW ENTRY and Press MENU key to enter ,If the phonebook is full, an appropriate message will be presented to the user as shown MEM IS FULLIf a free phonebook entry is available, the cursor for the name flashes.
  2. Enter the name using the alphanumeric keys. If any mistake, press DEL key to correct, press MENU key to confirm.
  3. Enter the number confirm with MENU key, select the melody to be stored and press MENU key to confirm.
    EDIT RECORD This function allows the user to modify a phonebook record.
  4. Press /CID or /OUT key to select EDIT RECORD and press MENU key to enter, the first record in the phone book will be displayed.
  5. Press /CID or /OUT key to select the designated record to change. 3) Once a record has been selected, the user will have the option to edit each of the
    names/number and change melody. DEL RECORD This function allows the user to delete a phonebook entry. DELETE ALL This function allows the user to delete all phonebook entries. MEM STATUS This function allows the user to see how much record is the phone books are occupied. If show 10/50, this means there are total can store 50 records and now 10 records being store in the phonebook. BASE Menu function 2: CALL LOG You can enter CALL LOG by press MENU key. And there are three items in this menu, MISSED, RECEIVED and DIALED. When LCD displays CALL LOG, you can: Press MENU key to enter missed call lists, received call lists or dialed call lists respectively. 1) The LCD will show the last record. (If no entries are available in the list, LCD will show EMPTY). 2) Press /CID or /OUT key to view other record. When the record is show, you can: a) To phone book (this function allows the user to add an entry from the caller list to the phone
    book.) b) DELETE (the function allows the user to delete the currently selected entry from caller list by

pressing DEL key.) BASE Menu function 3: SETTINGS The user is able to change the base setting by pressing the MENU key to enter base settings item. Using /CID or /OUT key to select. Press MENU key to confirm. Then you can do below :
DELETE HANDSET This function allows the user to delete a handset registration from the base.

  1. Press MENU key the first show is DELETE HS. 2) Press MENU key to enter, the user will be prompted to enter the PIN CODE. 3) Input the correct 4-digit pin code and press MENU key to confirm 4) Press /CID or /OUT key will scroll the handset names list up or down. 5) Press MENU key to confirm.
    The delete handset will be deleted from the list on registered handset on the base, and the handset
    will behave according to the out of range condition. RING SETUP The user is able to change the handset ringing on internal calls and external calls. There are 10 ringer
    melodies and 5 different volume levels can be set. 1) Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select RING SETUP item. 2) Press MENU key to enter.
  2. Press /CID or /OUT key to select the INT RING and EXT RING setup. 4) Press MENU key to confirm. 5) Press /CID or /OUT key to select the MELODY and VLOME setup. If select MELODY a) Press MENU key to confirm. b) Press /CID or /OUT key to select desired melody, the corresponding melody sound can be heard with the selection. If select VOLUME a) Press MENU key to confirm. b) Press /CID or /OUT key to select desired ringer volume 1-5, if you want to switch off, select OFF, the corresponding volume sound can not be heard. c) Press MENU key to confirm your selection.
    DIAL MODE The user can select to change the mode in which the base will dial.
  3. Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select DIAL MODE item. 2) Press MENU key to enter. 3) Press /CID or /OUT key to select the TONE or PULSE dialing mode. 4) Press MENU key to confirm your selection. FLASH TIME The user can select to change the flash time (100ms, 300ms, 600ms and 1000ms).
  4. Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select FLASH TIME 2) Press MENU key to enter. 3) Press /CID or /OUT key to select the 100ms, 300ms, 600ms and 1000ms. 4) Press MENU key to confirm your selection.

KEY TONE The user is able to change the Base tone settings.

  1. Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select KEY TONE 2) Press MENU key to confirm. 3) Press /CID or /OUT key to select the ON or OFF to enable or disable the beep sound. 4) Press MENU key to confirm your selection. Noted: After this setting, a beep sound will be sounded when a key is pressed on the Base. LANGUAGE The Base will support up to 8 pre-defined languages. 1) Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select LANGUAGE item. 2) Press MENU key to enter. 3) Press /CID or /OUT key to select your desired language from ENGLISH (English),
    DEUTSCH (German), FRANÇAIS (French), ITALIANO (Italian), ESPAÑOL (Spanish), PORTUGUES (Portuguese), PYCCKNÑ (Russian) and TÜRKÇE (Turkish). Each language will display in its own native translation. 4) Press MENU key to confirm your selection. DATE & TIME The user is able to set the date and time on the base by selecting the following option. 1) Press MENU key to enter date and time setting. The last two digits of the year flashes. 2) Press /CID or /OUT key to edit the flashing value, then use MENU key to confirm and enter the next flashing value setting. 3) Using the same method for month, date and time setting. 4) Press MENU key to confirm and return to the DATE & TIME menu. Noted: The date and time will be automatically set when the first caller ID message is received. MODIFY PIN This function allows the user to change the pin number of the currently active base. 1) Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select MODIFY PIN item. 2) Press MENU key to confirm. The user will first be requested to entry the existing PIN code for the base. 3) If the old code is validated. The user will be prompted to enter a new PIN code. 4) Once a new PIN code has been entered, the user will be requested to repeat to input the new PIN code. 5) The new PIN code is confirmed, the code will be stored to the base. BASE DEFAULT This function allows the user to restore the base setting to the factory default. 1) Press MENU key, then using /CID or /OUT key to select BS DEFAULT item. 2) Press MENU key to confirm. 3) The user will be promoted to enter the PIN CODE. 4) If the PIN code is validated all base settings will be returned to the factory default. BASE Menu function 4: REGISTRATION This function allows the user to register the handset to a specified base. Before registering a handset to the base, the handset should first be put into subscription mode

During idle state, press the key to enter the menu setting, there are six sub- menus under the handset

Each individual Handset has its own phonebook, independent of each other handset, with a maximum of 50

entries, each name a maximum of 12 characters, each number a maximum of 20 digits and a melody selected between 1 and 10. Press key. Use UP or DOWN key to select PHONE BOOK. Then press
key to confirm. LIST

The function allows the user to review the phone book record lists by using UP or DOWN key, The user can also make a call from phonebook . NEW ENTRY.

This function allows the user to add an entry to the phone book. 1) Press UP or DOWN key to select NEW ENTRY and press key to enter .If the phonebook is full, an appropriate message will be presented to the user as shown MEM IS FULL. The user can select to change the mode in which the base will dial. 1) Press key, then using UP or DOWN key to select DIAL MODE item. 2) Press key to enter. 3) Press UP or DOWN key to select the TONE and PULSE dial mode. 4) Press key to confirm your selection. FLASH TIME

The user can select to change the flash time (100ms, 300ms, 600ms and 1000ms).

  1. Press key, then using UP or DOWN key to select FLASH TIME item. 2) Press key to enter. 3) Press UP or DOWN key to select the desired flash time among 100ms, 300ms, 600ms and
    1000 ms.

  2. Press key to confirm your selection. MODIFY PIN

This function allows the user to change the pin number of the currently active base (default PIN code is

keys to input code (default as 0000).

  1. If the PIN code is validated all base settings will be returned to the factory default. Handset Menu function 4: HS SETTINGS

The user is able to change a number of the settings for the handset to their own individual preferences. Using UP or DOWN key to select HS SETTINGS. Then you can do below:
ALARM

The user is able to set the alarm on the handset and adjust the alarm settings, to give an alert at a

programmed time of every day. 1) Press key, the first sub-menu is ALARM item.

  1. Press key to confirm. 3) Press UP or DOWN key to select ON or OFF, and press to confirm. Select of OFF will turn
    the alarm off, and the user is dropped back to the ALARM menu, select of ON option will turn the

alarm on, and the user will be requested to set the alarm time. 4) After select ON, press key to start the settings of alarm, 12-00 displayed with “12” flashing, 5) Press UP or DOWN key to change the hours, press key to confirm, use the same method
to select minutes, AM/PM. 6) Press key, the user will be presented with a further option to select to ON or OFF to enable or

disable the snooze function on the alarm.

  1. Press key to confirm your selection. When the alarm is set, the

will appear on the top of

the display. Startup alarm:

In idle state, the alarm will ring at very sharp hour you have set. Intermit alarm:

During the alarming, you can switch it off by pressing any key of the handset, or when a call comes,

the alarm will be intermitted too.

Close alarm:

Re-enter the alarm setting menu option and select OFF.

NOTE: 1. If the SNOOZE is set ON, the alarm will be repeated about every 5 minutes for about an hour, with

the alarm icon continuing to flash. During the alarming, press any key except

(HANG

UP/POWER OFF) key to intermit alarming, and will begin to ring after 5 minutes.

2. If the SNOOZE is set OFF, the alarm will sound for 45 seconds once. RING SETUP

The user is able to change the handset ringing on internal calls and external calls. There are 10 ringer

HANDSET NAME The operation will allow the user to change the handset name

AUTO ANSWER The Handset can be set to answer an incoming call automatically by simply pick it up from the charging cradle. The user is able to select to enable/disable this auto answer feature. 1) Press key. Using UP or DOWN key to select AUTO ANSWER, 2) Press key to enter. 3) Press UP or DOWN key to select ON or OFF 4) Press key to confirm your selection. Exit from this sub-menu will return the user to the
    AUTO ANSWER BARRING You can set 4 numbers (up to 4 digits each) for call barring. When the call barring is “ON”, any numbers beginning with the programmed digits will not be able to be dialed out, and LCD will display CALLS BARRED

Noted: The date and time will be automatically set when the first caller ID message is received. SELECT BASE This function allows the handset to choose to link any one of the bases the handset registered.

  1. Press key, then using UP or DOWN key to choose SELECT BASE. 2) Press key and the LCD displays BASE 1 + . 3) Press UP or DOWN to select base (BASE 1~4) or AUTO. 4) Press to begin searching, if you hear a sound of “di-du-di”, means linked successful.
    HANDSET DEFAULT : This function allows the user to restore the handset setting to the factory default.

    This function allows the user to register the handset to a specified base. Before registering a handset to the base, the base should first be put into subscription mode

    search for the requested base, If the base is found and the handset successfully registered, the PIN code screen will be
    displayed, then enter the pin code, LCD will display the base registered. If the base is not found, the handset will return to the previous registration state. If the PIN code entered is invalid, an error tone is sounded, and the Handset will return to
    the previous registration state.

OPERATION

Speakerphone operation & volume control Press ( ) key once to obtain a dial tone, dial your number, when you hear the called party answers the phone. You can begin your conversation without picking up the handset, you can also answer an incoming call by pressing ( ) or key. If you answer the call by pressing key, to hear other party clearly, please pick up the handset to approach your ear for conversation. During the speakerphone operation, the user can adjust the speaker volume level by pressing the UP or DOWN key or VOL+ or VOL- key. Total 6 levels for selection. Caller ID ­ type I & II TYPE I After you have applied the caller ID service, you can see the caller party phone number during an incoming ring. TYPE II

During the conversation, the phone number of the incoming call of the third party can be seen in the unit.

This function can be worked when the user applied the Telecom service. Auto timer

The timer will start automatically after the telephone line is engaged. Flash

When dial a number and the line is busy, press R/CLR (FLASH) key, then press RD/P key to dial it out

again. Pause

Press RD/P (REDIAL) key will insert a time delay of 3.6 seconds in a dialing sequence. Pre-dialing

The unit has pre-dialing function, you can enter and edit the number before dial it out.

The following procedure describes how to use this function: 1. In idle mode, input the number you want to dial out using digit key .if any mistake, press R/CLR (DEL)

key to edit.

2. Press or ( ) key once or pick up the handset of the base. The unit will dial out the number

If you have edit the incoming message with different name, next time with the same phone number will

The user can store the incoming number to the phone book based on the following procedures:

There are 50 phonebook memories; each memory can store 12 characters and 20 digits. 1) In on-hook state, press BOOK ( ) key.

Call transfer

During a call, it’s used for transferring the call to another handset. 1) During a phone call, press INT key once, the user will be prompted to select the number of the internal

handset with which they wish to connect.

  1. The destination handset will ring. With the melody defined for can internal call.

  2. Press other handset the key or key to accept the call. The two internal handsets will be

connected. To complete the transfer of the call, the initiating handset should be placed on the cradle

and the external call will now be connected to the second handset. Conference call

To lock the keypad

Press and hold the key of the handset for about 2 seconds.
You will hear a beep tone, the icon will appear on the top of display, “HS LOCKED” will appear on LCD.
While the keypad is locked, any key you press is invalid.
To unlock the keypad
Press and hold the key of the handset for about 2 seconds again.
You will hear a beep tone, the icon will disappear from the display and it will go back to idle mode.
