SAFETY INFORMATION
Intended use:
The breast pump is intended to express and collect milk from the breasts of a
lactating woman. The precondition to use the breast pump is to have unclogged
milk ducts. Some new mothers appear to have clogged milk ducts owning to
congenital nipple depression or insufficient milk. It is necessary to have a
professional breast check to assure milk ducts are not clogged and the
lactation is well established before you use a breast pump. The breast pump is
NOT intended to induce first lactation. The breast pump is intended for a
single user!
WARNING! Never use the breast pump while you are pregnant, as pumping may
cause childbirth.
Never use the breast pump for other purposes except those listed in this
manual.
Warnings to avoid choking, strangulation and injury
- Do not allow children or pets to play with the device, the adaptor or accessories.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

- Install the silicone diaphragm into the linker.
- Place the assembled linker into the main device.
- Insert the milk bottle into the main device.
- Install the silicone shield or the silicone insert.
When to express milk
If breastfeeding goes well, it is advisable (unless advised otherwise by your
healthcare professional/ breastfeeding advisor) to wait until your milk supply
and breastfeeding schedule are established (normally at least 2 to 4 weeks
after giving birth) before you start expressing.
Exceptions
- If breastfeeding does not go well immediately, expressing regularly can help to establish and maintain your milk supply.
- If you are expressing milk for your baby to be given in hospital.
- If your breasts are engorged (painful or swollen), you can express a small amount of milk before or between feeds to ease the pain and to help your baby latch on more easily.
- If you have sore or cracked nipples, you may wish to express your milk until they are healed.
- If you are separated from your baby and wish to continue to breastfeed when you are reunited, you should express your milk regularly to stimulate your milk supply.
You need to find the optimum times of the day to express your milk, for
example just before or after your baby’s first feed in the morning when your
breasts are full, or after a feed if your baby has not emptied both breasts.
If you have returned to work, you may need to express during a break.
Using a breast pump requires practice and it may take several attempts before
you succeed. Fortunately, the KikkaBoo electric breast pump is easy to
assemble and use so you will soon get used to expressing with it.
Using the pump (Figure V)
- Wash your hands thoroughly and make sure your breasts are clean.
- Hold the breast shield onto your breast with your thumb and index finger. Support your breast with palm of your hand. Place your nipple in the center of the assembled sili-cone shield/insert. Gently press the pump to your breast. Make sure your nipple fits properly.
- Place your nursing bra above the pump.
- Turn on the breast pump by прессинг the power button and choose the mode you prefer.
- Find a comfortable position. Make sure not to lie down or recline.
-
The breast pump automatically starts up in simulation mode. You can change the level of the stimulation mode by using the “+” and “-” buttons. After two minutes, it will automatically transition to pumping mode. If your milk begins to flow before two minutes, press the mode change button to manually transition to pumping mode.
-
Once you are in the pumping mode, increase the suction level by using the “+”button until pumping feels slightly uncomfortable (not painful), then decrease slightly using the “-”button.
Note : stimulation and massage mode are fast sucking pump rhythms, which aim to stimulate milk ¬flow. Pumping mode is slower sucking rhythm for gentle and efficient milk removal after milk has started fl¬owing. -
When milk flow stops, you can switch to the bionic mode. It aims to trigger another let-down by combining fast and slow pumping rhythms.
Attention : Do not always use the maximum level of each mode, just choose
the most comfortable level for you. Depending on your own personal comfort,
you may wish to use a higher suction level that
provides deeper suction. You can always return to a lower suction level.
Note : Do not worry if your milk does not flow immediately. Relax and
continue pumping. The milk will soon flow, even if you do not use all the
suction power that the pump can create. The first few times when you use the
breast pump, you may need to use a higher suction mode to get your milk
flowing.
Warning! Do not pump for more than 5 minutes without interruption. If
there is still no milk flow, try expressing at another time of the day.
When you have finished expressing, turn off the breast pump by pressing the
power button for 2 seconds.
To collecting the milk after expression
- Take out the pump from your nursing bra.
- Press the button in the middle of the device in order to release the milk bottle.
- Pour the breast milk into a feeding bottle in the indicated direction as shown in figure V-8.
Storing breast milk
Warning! Always refrigerate or freeze expressed milk immediately. Store only fresh milk. Store only breast milk collected with a cleaned and sanitized pump to ensure hygiene. Always store breast milk in sanitized containers or bottles fitted with a sanitized screw ring and sealing disc or in pre-sterilized milk storage bags. Do NOT fill the containers, bottles or the milk bags completely. Leave some space as milk volume increases during freezing.
- Always clearly label the date and time of expression on the containers, bottles or the milk bags.
- Always use older breast milk first.
- In order to keep the nutritional content of the breast milk, thaw in a refrigerator compartment or under running tap water without opening the container, bottle or bag. Stored milk can be thawed overnight in a refrigerator, then gradually heated in a warmer or hot water.
- Shake the thawed milk to mix fat particles and the remaining milk ingredients. Thawed milk is usable for 24 hours if it is stored in the refrigerator.
- Never refreeze thawed milk.
- Never combine freshly expressed and thawed milk.
- Never heat milk by boiling or using the microwave.
- Always check food temperature before feeding.
- Discard any milk that is left over.

- Accidents have occurred when babies have been left alone with drinking equipment due to the baby falling or if the product has disassembled.
Troubleshooting
-
Problem: I experience pain when I use the breast pump.
Solution 1: One of the reasons can be the too high vacuum level. Maybe you do not need the full vacuum power of the breast pump.
At first use the stimulation or massage mode. If you still feel pain, stop using the breast pump and consult your breastfeeding advisor. If the pump does not come away easily from the breast, it may be necessary to break the vacuum by placing a finger between the breast and the silicone shield.
Solution 2: Use a warm towel to apply warm compress on breast and do massage with a little bit downward gesture for about 5 minutes, then try the pumping again. If you still feel pain, stop using the breast pump and consult your breastfeeding advisor. -
Problem: The breast pump does not work.
Solution: Please, first check if you have assembled the breast pump correctly. To prevent interference keep other electric equipment, like mobile phone or laptop, away from the breast pump while expressing. Check the battery and if needed charge it. If it still can not work, please contact to the aftersales service. -
Problem: I do not feel any suction.
Solution: Check whether all breast pump connections are secure. Disassemble and assemble the pump (figure III; figure IV). Assembling your breast pump, make sure all pieces are clean and not damaged. While pumping, make sure the breast shield is completely sealed around your breast. -
Problem: There is milk overflow.
Solution: Turn off the breast pump. Disassemble the breast pump. Use a damp (not wet) cloth to wipe the breast pump. Clean other components according to clean and sanitize section. When all components are dry, reassemble (figure IV).
Usage and storage conditions
Keep the breast pump out of direct sunlight as prolonged exposure may cause
discoloration. Store the breast pump and its accessories in a safe, clean and
dry place without direct sunlight and away from heat sources. If the appliance
has been stored in a hot or cold environment, place it in the usage
environment to let it reach a temperature within the usage conditions (10°C –
30°C) before you use it.
