READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSERTING A KEY INTO THE LOCKS
This box has code-able locks installed. These locks have no pre-set key code, and only Weather Guard Key codes B001 through B050 can be used. These locks will “learn” the code of the first key that the lock is coded with (See CODING THE LOCKS below).

One pair of identical keys will be provided per box.

If you have multiple boxes with code-able locks, you can:

  1. Code each of the boxes with a single key.
    OR

  2. Code each box or set of boxes with their own set of keys.

  • Any new additional boxes with code-able locks can be coded with the keys from your original box.
  • Register your box and key code at weatherguard.com, and keep a personal record of your key code, as there is no way to determine your key code should you lose your keys.

Extra sets of keys can be purchased by contacting one of the following:

NOTICE: ONCE A LOCK IS CODED, IT CANNOT BE CHANGED!

CODING THE LOCKS-Easy 3-step guide

TESTING THE LOCK I Lock and unlock the box 5 times to ensure it works. Remove the key fully between each test.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 – Locate the Box in the Truck Bed

  • Mount saddle/cross box first (if applicable). Support box with blocking until mounted.
  • Square box to bed and level box so the top is horizontal when viewed from the rear. Leave a 1/8″ gap between the side box and the saddle/cross box (if applicable). Make sure the cover opens fully without interference.

STEP 2 – Mark and Drill Mounting Holes

NOTE:

  • To maintain full floor width between wheel wells, legs should be aligned with the inside edge of the wheel wells. The foot of the leg must be squarely mounted on or between the tops or floor ribs.
  • Fasten leg mounting feet directly to the bed floor, not liners or bed mats.
  • Position the rear leg as shown on page 3. Use a square to ensure vertical orientation. Mark both holes at the top of the leg and both holes in the truck bed floor.
  • Repeat leg placement and marking process for the other leg. If side boxes with a saddle or cross box, the front leg can be replaced with a corner bracket.
  • Remove the box from the truck. Drill all marks on the box and truck with a 3/16″ drill bit. Redrill all holes with a 1/2″ drill bit. Install all Blind Fasteners.
  • Reposition the box to align with drilled holes and secure with 5/16-18 x 1-1/4″ Hex Head Bolts.
  • NOTE: If your truck bed is constructed of aluminium, use a zinc-rich primer to coat drilled holes.

ALUMINUM TRUCK BED INSTALLATION
Follow additional instructions if mounting to an aluminium truck bed as explained in the Blind Fastener Installation.

STEP 3 – Attach Box to Truck Bed

  • Attach (2) mounting clamps with a bolt, washer, and lock nut as shown in the figure to the right.
  • If a stake pocket interferes with any mounting clamp location, it will be necessary to drill the stake pocket with a 1/2” drill bit, with the top of the hole even with the bottom edge of the bed lip.

ALUMINUM TRUCK BED INSTALLATION
For aluminium truck beds, use vinyl tape as a barrier between the “J” bolt and the aluminium bed.
