ADVICE FOR USE AND CARE

  • Always weigh yourself on the same scale placed on the same floor surface. Do not compare weight readings from one scale to another as some differences will exist due to manufacturing tolerances.
  • Placing your scale on a hard, even floor will ensure the greatest accuracy and repeatability.
  • Weigh yourself at the same time each day, before meals and without footwear. First thing in the morning is a good time.
  • Your scale rounds up or down to the nearest increment. If you weigh yourself twice and get two different readings, your weight lies between the two.
  • Clean your scale with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaning agents. Do not allow your scale to become saturated with water as this can damage the electronics.
  • Treat your scale with care – it is a precision instrument. Do not drop it or jump on it.
  • Caution: the platform may become slippery when wet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which type of battery fits a Salter scale?****

The two premium CR2032 batteries in this set are perfect for Salter kitchen scales. Please make sure that this battery is the right one for your scales. 20 mm in diameter and 3.2 mm thick. These CR2032 batteries are the ideal replacement because of their long shelf life.

On the Salter scales, what does l mean?****

When the scale displays Lo/Low, it implies the batteries need to be changed since there is insufficient power for it to function properly.

Calibrating Salter scales is necessary?****

When ‘CAL’ is shown on the LCD display, these scales need to be calibrated. Start by simultaneously pushing the unit (g/oz) selector button and the on/off button; this should cause a reading of “1500” to appear on the LCD display.

Why do the readings on my bathroom scales differ?****

On an uneven surface, various readings can happen even utilizing high-quality equipment. To prevent digital scale weight fluctuation, always use your device on a solid piece of wood or level, smooth, level surface such as tile.

My Salter scales won’t function—why?****

Verify that the battery is installed properly. Verify that you have chosen the preferred unit of measurement—stones/pounds, kilograms, or pounds. Verify sure the scale is not touching a wall and is situated on a level, flat surface. Every time the scale is moved, repeat the “Initialization” method.

Why won’t my bathroom scales function digitally?****

The majority of the time, low or dead batteries are to blame for your scale’s inability to switch on. Take the batteries out and inspect the terminals for rust if the batteries aren’t the issue.

Does each bathroom scale have a different battery?****

It might be difficult to establish which battery is used in weighing machines because there are over 20 distinct battery sizes available. Even if they don’t seem to fit, replacement batteries might be pricey and not usually returnable. Remove the old battery and look at its size code to see which you need.

How is a CR2032 battery inserted?****

Place the CMOS battery (CR2032) with the positive (+) side facing the compute node’s center. Turn the CMOS battery (CR2032) so that you may place it in the socket’s base. Press the top of the CMOS battery – CR2032 into the socket as you move it into position.

What size battery is used by my digital scale?****

Digital scales typically run on AA or AAA batteries. The 9-volt battery may be used by some digital scales.

Does scale suffer from low battery?****

When taking measurements on digital scales, low battery power and bad battery connections are the main causes of scale malfunction and erroneous readings. It is crucial that the scale’s components receive the necessary amount of electricity for precise measurements.

How can I tell whether the scale in my bathroom is accurate?****

Note the weight of a coin after placing it on the scale. Put one more nickel on the scale, then record the updated weight. One additional nickel can be added to the scale; record the weight. The weight should have increased by 5g each time, if your scale is accurate.

How can I adjust the scale?****

Turn the scale on and wait for it to warm up (usually 30 seconds) the calibration mode sequence should start. Observe the directions shown on the scale’s display. Remove the calibration weight after the calibration procedure is finished, then switch back to the regular weighing modes.

I need to reset my digital scale.****

From the scale’s back, remove all of the batteries. For at least 10 minutes, leave the scale’s batteries out of the equation. Make sure the battery compartment is spotless and that there is no residue or debris on the contact terminals. Make sure the batteries are polarized correctly and reinstall them securely.

How long do bathroom scale batteries last?****

With a typical family of four weighing once per day, the lithium battery should last for around 10 years. Make sure the battery is properly installed. If the issue persists, review and adhere to the warranty details. Scale life is increased by the exceptionally low self-discharge of lithium batteries.

What caused my weight scale to malfunction?****

Issues with the display and functionality of digital scales are frequently caused by batteries. Remove the batteries by carefully opening the battery compartment. Clear the compartment of any dust or other objects that could obstruct the battery connection using a small, clean paintbrush or cotton swab.
