ROBERTS 70-115 Moisture Barricade Polyethylene Film
MOISTUREBARRICADE POLYETHYLENE FILM
Moisture Barricade is a non-underlayment polyethylene film for use on concrete
slabs to protect against moisture.
Do not use on wood subfloors.
Installation Steps
-
Always follow the flooring manufacturers’ installation instructions with respect to preparing and leveling the subfloor. Make sure the subfloor is level, clean and dry.
-
Unroll the Moisture Barricade polyethylene film. Cut the film about 2 inches longer than the room length on each end. Run the film 2 inches up on each wall (see Fig.1).
This 2 inch perimeter running up the walls provide a moisture-proof enclosure for the flooring. -
If needed, lay a second row of film alongside the first so that the edges of the film meet and the overlapping film lies on top of the second sheet. (see Fig. 2). If needed, remove the white protective cover from the adhesive strip (see Fig. 2) lay the overlapping film from the first row over the adhesive strip of the second row and press into place (see Fig. 3).
-
After the flooring is completely installed, trim the excess film back to the height of the finished floor. Do this prior to installing base boards or molding. (see Fig. 4)
