HELLO & WELCOME
This instruction manual shows you how to install, handle and remove your new MODEL F smart luminaire.
Please read this manual carefully before using the luminaire.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

- Directional light source with non-replaceable LEDs, max. 4402 lm (in a wide cone 120°):
- Colour-tuneable 2700-4000 K, CRI > 92
- Direct: 84 spots, max. 4402 lm

WARNINGS & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Never connect the luminaire directly to 230 V or any power supply other than the one included in the package!
- Use this luminaire only for indoors; dry conditions only.
- Use the luminaire only in the allowed environment and temperature range.
- The luminaire is not a toy and not designed to be played with by children.
- Do not stare directly into the light source.
- Do not pull on the hanging luminaire.
- Do not attach anything to the luminaire except authorized Luke Roberts accessories.
- Only a qualified electrician should install the luminaire.
- The LED module of the luminaire cannot be replaced – don’t disassemble the luminaire without authorization.
- Make sure to switch o! mains power when installing the luminaire.
- This luminaire does not work in combination with a dimmer.
- The luminaire will produce heat. Allow proper airflow around it.
- The luminaire’s flexible cable can only be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service agent.
CLEANING
- Switch o! the luminaire and let it cool down to room temperature before cleaning it.
- Use the (dry) microfiber cloth supplied with the luminaire to clean the surface.
- Do not use water or any chemicals.
- Regularly remove dust from the luminaire’s heat sink to ensure proper airflow.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
- Check that no dimmer is present in the mains circuit that will power the luminaire.
- Ceiling mount needs to be mounted on a flat ceiling surface withstanding up to 70° C.
- Keep enough space around the luminaire and ceiling mount in order to maintain proper airflow.
- Please use the appropriate fastening method for your type of ceiling.
- Make sure to hang the luminaire at least 20 cm below the ceiling mount.
- Excess cable can be stored in the ceiling mount.
Before proceeding, make sure the mains power is disconnected!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Fasten power supply to the ceiling using three screws.
- Be careful not to scratch the mains wires and use fiberglass wire sleeving if required.
- If a ceiling outlet box is used, make sure it can hold the luminaire’s weight (2.8 kg).
- Plug mains wires into the primary side connector marked with 230 V~.
- Connect the wires according to the connector markings: L, N
If you have purchased the Luke Roberts BLOOM lampshade, please refer to the lampshade’s installation manual now.
- Prepare the luminaire for installation by first pulling the cable through the ceiling mount cap.
- Then guide the cable through the adjusting plate.
- Make sure that you don’t harm the cable.
- Now decide on the height of the luminaire. Move the plate along the cable until you have reached your desired cable length.
- Insert the cable stopper into the adjusting plate.
- This is the primary fixing mechanism for the luminaire and cable. Please check the stopper is placed accurately.
- For further assembly, you can now hold the luminaire by the cable without changing its length.
FIXATION CHECK
Hold the luminaire on the adjusting plate and slightly pull down the cable.
- Attach the luminaire to the power supply on the ceiling by pushing the adjusting plate into the hooks in the middle.
- Push until it has snapped in properly.
- Wind up the excess cable around the plate before you continue connecting the luminaire.

Connect the luminaire’s cable to the secondary connector marked 12 VDC.

Make sure that the colours of the wires match with the connector positions:
violet | black | red -
The violet wire is optional and may not be available on all luminaires.
- Push up the cap towards the ceiling.
- Make sure to find the correct position when doing so.
- There are three snaps to which the cap gets attached to the power supply
- When the cap is in the correct position, lock it by turning it clockwise until it locks in.
- Remove the protective film from the up light diffuser.
- Switch on the mains power supply, and your MODEL F will light up.
- To use all the features of your new smart luminaire, connect it to the Luke Roberts App.

REMOVING THE LUMINAIRE
Before proceeding, make sure the mains power is disconnected!
- Turn the cap anticlockwise to unfasten it.
- Take a flat screwdriver and push it into the connectors to disconnect the wires.
- By pressing the two pins on top of the adjusting plate, you loosen the plate so that you can take out the luminaire.
- To remove the power supply, loosen the three screws from the ceiling.
DISPOSAL
For proper recycling, return this product to your local supplier upon the purchase of equivalent new equipment, or dispose of it at designated collection points.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Luke Roberts warrants that this device will be free from defects in material and workmanship and will operate for 2 years when used and installed as directed.
If this device does not conform to the warranty, Luke Roberts will send you, at its discretion, a replacement device or refund your original price upon receipt of the returned device, register receipt, and proof of purchase.

This limited warranty does not cover defects caused by the customer. This is especially the case in case of improper or negligent handling, as well as incorrect operation, unauthorized repair attempts, lack of reasonable care, damage resulting from misuse or abuse, force majeure or natural forces.
