Product Usage Instructions
Before Assembly:
Adult assembly is required.
Components:
- A: Gate Frame (x1)
- B: Spindle Rods (x4)
- C: Wall Cups (x4)
- D: Sticker (x4)
-
Step 1: Gate Frame Adjustment
-
Locate the (4) threaded spindle rods (B).
-
Rotate the adjustment wheels along the threading, eliminating the gap between the adjustment wheel and the rubber foot.
Note: You may notice a slight gap between the gate door latch and the frame. This is not a defect. The gate is pressure mounted and this gap will disappear once you tighten the gate in its opening. -
Step 2: Gate Installation
-
Insert the threaded spindle rods with adjustment wheels into the hole on all four corners of the sides of the gate.
-
Place the gate in the desired opening with the bottom close to the floor. The distance between the bottom of the gate and the floor should be less than 1/8 inch.
Note: Once you are satisfied with the placement, trace the spindle rods rubber feet with wall cups onto the surface of your opening and make sure these are level. -
To affix your gate more firmly, use the screws and stickers provided. Use a pencil to trace the entire outline of each foot onto the wall.
Note: Remove the gate from the opening and reinforce your gate: -
Paste the 4 wall cups using the stickers provided.
-
Screw the 4 wall cups to the wall using the screws.
-
Step 3: Gate Tightening
-
Insert all 4 threaded spindle rods into the wall cups.
-
Tighten the wheels by hand. Do not over tighten.
Note: It may be necessary to hold the threaded spindle rods while rotating the adjustment wheels to ensure that the entire unit does not rotate while installing the gate.
Note: If your door latch is not properly engaging with the receiving component, ensure that your gate is level, mounted properly, and that you have not over-tightened the adjustment wheels.
Note: The gap between the gate and the wall should not exceed more than 2.75 inches on either side. If the gate has been installed properly, the gap between the door latch and frame should now be 1/16 inch.
Operating the Door Latch
- To Open: Ensure that the base locks at the bottom of the gate door are in the horizontal position.
- When opening the door, it is necessary to pull back the switch above and lift up the guardrail at the same time.
Note: The baby gate can open 90 degrees in both directions.
Note: Do not put excessive pressure on the gate in order to prevent damage.
