TIPS & HINTS

  1. The type of bread, moisture content, freshness, thickness, and number of slices all affect the browning of toasting.
  2. If you are going to toast two slices of bread side by side, it is recommended they are of equal size and freshness.
  3. The overall thickness of the bread should not exceed 2.50cm otherwise it may cause burning or jamming within the Bread Slots.
  4. If toasting one slice only, you may need to adjust the Browning Control to a slightly lower setting. You will notice a variation in toast color on one side of a single slice. The side facing the outside wall of the Bread Slot will be darker in color than the side facing the inner wall of the bread slot.
  5. If the bread is jammed, disconnect your toaster from the socket, allow it to cool down then remove the bread. You may turn the toaster over and shake it gently on condition that it has completely cooled down and can be touched.
  6. Stale bread toasts more rapidly than fresh bread. Therefore, the Browning Control should be set at a lower setting than usual
